  1. Cool. I would by a Lexus over a AMG anyday. A) I dont even think ive ever seen a Merc dealership, let along tried to get spare parts for one. B) Im not a bald, single, old man.
  2. Hmm yeah must be a city thing. I havent ever used the horn on my last 2 vehicles. Wouldnt even know what they sound like. But if you ask me the best sounding horn is the 2005 VZ SS Crewman horn. Its a Dual tone horn but not a huge bulky thing like these JDM things just a normal round horn. But seriously if you guys have cash to just burn, give it to me. lol
  3. Ok So using the above quote as an example 245 is the width of the tyre tread in mm 55 is the hight of the sidewall which is a % ratio of overall tyre width R stands for Radial 19 is the rim diameter in Inchs 103 is the load rating, which I cant remember exactly off the top of my head but it might be around 700Kg and S is the speed rating which in s's case is 180Km/h. There is a certain safty margin built into tyres so its not going to explode if you go above 180km/h but driving all day at 200+ would probably not be recommended. I would say that its possible the kluger is limited to 180km/h because if it wasnt it wouldnt have been a very wise choice putting an S rated tyre on the vehicles from the factory. The other option is they might just run out of steam at that speed? Who knows. I dont know if I would want to be doing 180km/h in an SUV. Not on Central Queensland Roads anyway.
  4. Whats the F stand for in ISF? Farking Sick?
  5. If you really wanted to pay excessive insurance, just go get a Heavily modified VK or VL Commodore. lol
  6. The best way I have found to use the ArmorAll (which I swear by), is to spray the cloth (don't spray directly onto the dash - unless you can do so without spraying it all over the window etc.). Give it several coats using the cloth....wait a few minutes to let it penetrate....then wipe off the excess with a clean dry cloth. Yes that would be how I would do it. Spraying Directly is sucky as all the little stray drops that come out leave little greasy marks everywhere.
  7. same here buddie. Owned commodores all my life. Now driving the Kluger. Sweet upgrade if you ask me.
  8. ArmorAll is a fantastic product. But you will either need to soak a cloth in it or clean your glass after using it as its a bit crap on glass/dash screens.
  9. Holy Crap Batman. I dont know how they calculate it but I guess it all depends on the area you live in, living out in the nice quiet bush were nothing ever gets stolen Im paying $620pa for a 2005 CV Sport with 49,000km and both drivers my wife and I are both only 25. Thats With RACQ.
  10. Well there you go. I bet this shutdown of Australian Factories is said to be to make the cost less. But $50 bucks says that the price of them wont be coming down. Its all a crock. Id gladly pay more for Australian Made. Its pretty silly of toyota to put such Highway prefered tyres on the advitised "Hardcore 4WD"
  11. That fuel figure I gave was with 38PSI in the tyres, i lowered it to 35PSI a bit more comfort.
  12. Im paying ~$600 with RACQ for my 2005 CV Sport
  13. I thought it was law in QLD at least to definatly have a seperate rocker switch on Spotlights. Theres no Optional extra about it.
  14. Dont want to alarm anyone but we are having loads of trouble with Dunlop Grantrek tyres out in the country. I guess they see their fair share of pretty ordanary gravel roads but everyone with prado's or any other vehicle with them on arnt even getting 20,000km out of a set without them seperating or completly letting go. Just Thurdays I had a customer telling me all about the probelms he had with them and friday the council brought a rim in off a prado that had done 8000km and all there was was two side walls absolutly no middle tread section of tyre. Ill be getting Bridgestons D694 A/T next time. Coopers are also not much chop theses days, Goodyear Wrangler ATR's are very decent and take loads of punishment. But Basically Id say theres such a shortage of Dunlop grandtrex cause either a) they suck so much they stopped making them to figure out were they were going wrong B) they sucked so much that everyone was replacing them so often with the OEM tyre on the millions of prados out here that they used em all up, or c) I cant think of a C. Something also to note that, depends on the size of tyre alot of the Bridgestone D694 and D693 are made in Australa, New Zealand or Japan, however the bridgeston rep told me the other day that they are actually stopping making them in Australia. So I'm going to order me a full set soonish before they all go and store them till I need em. Good tyre. Currently I have GT Radials AT somethings (came with Kluger purchaced like 2 weeks ago) and they are ok, but they dont like gravel roads with loads of sharp rocks and stuff. they are looking a little bruised.
  15. Hey there. Gen 1 Owner here. Just bought a 2005 CV Sport with 49000Km on it. very nice. It comes with the rear spoiler which I agree makes them look top notch. here is the link to my thread with some pictures if your interested http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...t=0#entry372888

    mudflaps

Yes I too am very suprised that you can buy a car that doesnt come standard with front mud flaps. I am seeking some for my 2005 Kluger. As I dont like the sound of rocks flying up the side of my car when on gravel. Any Idea on price of front ones for a 2005 model anyone?
  17. $80 Bucks, man your getting shafted. It must be old as stock cause the new lable/branding came out yonks ago. $27.50 is below cost for sure. From memory RRP is $55+gst or close, but hey thats a bargan cause the lable changed but the oil didnt and it should be fine to sit around for years (technically) without going "off" Its quite good oil that to. I used that SynPower in my ex Commodore and it make it run better and when the oil change was due it was a lot better looking then previous "pov" oils.
  18. Do you want me to tell you why not a Landrover. Cause when it brakes down out in the country you cant even get a fan belt or a oil filter for 3 days cause its got to come out of a Capital City. Landrovers for City, Land Cruisers for Country. The new Prado's are a fair bit uglier then the last gen, but space wise they arent what I call small. I took a Grande Prado and a Grande Kluger for a test drive the same day and they both have there good points, but the Prado is "Made" a lot better (interior) Kluger feels like Cheap Luxuary. But still nice. But yeah 200 Series Sahara would be nice.
  19. Another Fella has the same issues Quote from Kesawi "My black interior trim tends to get white marks everywhere, especially from finger marks. I've been using Meguiars Gold Class Dash & Trim Foam Protectant, which seems to clear it up and prevent them some what." From this thread http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...t=0#entry373673
