Hi everyone, Im new to the site, and to Toyota. I have owned Holden Commodores since I started to drive and have now seen the light, and just a week ago purchaced a secondhand Sept 2005 Kluger CV Sport, with 49000km on the Clock. After a proper wash and a little Mequiares Scratch X around door handles (Gold Mica) and Polish/wax she came up looking brand new. It was a 350km drive to the selling dealer and we traded a 2004 VY II Commodore on it. The drive down was harsh (18" Low Profile QLD Country Roads) and the drive back was smooth. So far I'm very impressed with the overall quality and comfort of this nice Kluger. I got Toyota Extra Care with it which they tell me will give me 3 years or 150000km factory warranty (at an aditional cost). The A/C compressor kinda makes a "different" noise which has somewhat disapated and I took it in to toyota this morning and they basically told me to "Let it develop". Everything still works, maybe im just parranoid. Like the first time I went up or big hill and I had some pretty ordanary "knocking" in the engine which I later learn (even the owners manual states) that its normal and apparently has something to do with the VVT-i. The Fully Cream interior is a little bright but, Ive ordered, Dash Mate, Rubber floormats, cargo mate and I installed my existing Sheep Skin seat covers (with slight modifications ((armrests)) so its slowly becoming a little more practical. Im hoping this Car will do me for some time for my potential up-comming family and Ive hurd a lot about toyota reliability which all I can say is better then Holden's. Mixed City mostly highway k's on the way back home first stop @ 270Km used 27Lt of Fuel so thats not to bad. havent found the "range" feature of the trip computer that ive hurd others talk about but oh well. My First Commodore (VS) was Auto to start with then converted it to Manual, all other cars have been Manual since. This Auto has some strange behavour but thankfully it doesnt seem as bad as many people have reported on the net. I did do my research before buying and that was my only concern. It Does tend to lag a little sometimes but its predictable and really not that hard to adapt to. Plans are to get a Queensland Bullbar (polished alloy) fitted in the next few weeks, and a towbar. Also would like to get side steps or atleast front mud flaps??(WTF) why they are not standard for a AWD is beyond me. Anyway Ill post some pics and let me know what you think!!
