  1. Double post. Couldnt figure out how to delete at 12:26am.
  2. Im sure I read somewere else on the net that this happened to another Fellow Gen II Kluger Owner. Black to Purple was in the title of the thread or whatever.
  3. Fantastic write up, and a very worthwile read. Absolutly beautiful photo's. Most of those look like they could be in the next kluger Brochure. Cant really comment on the 19in tyre, but I have hurd some bad reports on the Dunlop Grandtrek or whatever its called, that prado's have on them. Anyway great thread.
  4. How did you go with this? Let me know if you are still having trouble and I can give you full details on how to fix your problem
  5. I picked mine up and did a little bit of city driving then highway for 250km with a fair bit of overtaking. Did 270km and used 27lt of fuel. So 10l/100. I was pretty happy. Drinks a bit driving around town though :-( ahh who cares I dont even look at the price of fuel anymore just fill it up and pay. its all a rip off. but since the 2005 Kluger has a 72lt tank I would be pretty annoyed if I didnt get atleast 600km from a tank mainly highway.
  6. Very nice upgrade man. No Doubt it is much nice to drive also.
  7. Hi Mac, thanks. Yeah I think they think they done rip us off enough so then now we have to pay for everything. Soon cars wont even have a spare tyre unless you pay for it. Space savers may as well not be there anyway, but im please that I have a full size alloy spare. Yeah I think the CV Sport is basically a CVX without Leather. The AC Noise has completely gone now so maybe it was just from not being used much for a while maybe or something. I got my Toyota Extra Care Papers in the mail yesterday so if it does crap out it wont be soo bad. Due for another was this weekend if it doesnt rain. Went for a spin (100)km on gravel on Tuesday. Handles the Gravel well, just need to get a) front mud flaps or B) side steps. I have talked to a few mobs that make all that sorta stuff and they say they dont make a side step for that model Kluger because they dont have any real "load bearing" mounting points underneath. Which they are pretty right. But **** the genuine ones have steps on them so yeah. I just want something to stop the rocks scratching and chipping. I can hear them flying up on the gravel. Oh well. Still a sweet ride and very happy with it. Oh. Today I got my genuine Toyota Cargo mat, and front and back "All Weather" Rubber floor mats. They fit great and look pretty good, and they will serve there purpuse well. Just waiting on the dash mat now. Im considering seeing how much a genuine CVX leather steering wheel would cost. A Black one. So I can cover and hide all the brown and cream. Oh well. Untill tommorrow. I might go globe shopping. gunna get my trusty Narva Arctic Blue globes in everything. If they make them that will fit.
  8. WOW all the pics in this thread look amazing. I wish I could do it.
  9. Yeah Im totally wondering the same thing. What could you possibly need all those different Radio's for? Its not like your doing 4WDing or anything. Maybe to listen to 6 different cop channels at once?
  10. Hi everyone, Im new to the site, and to Toyota. I have owned Holden Commodores since I started to drive and have now seen the light, and just a week ago purchaced a secondhand Sept 2005 Kluger CV Sport, with 49000km on the Clock. After a proper wash and a little Mequiares Scratch X around door handles (Gold Mica) and Polish/wax she came up looking brand new. It was a 350km drive to the selling dealer and we traded a 2004 VY II Commodore on it. The drive down was harsh (18" Low Profile QLD Country Roads) and the drive back was smooth. So far I'm very impressed with the overall quality and comfort of this nice Kluger. I got Toyota Extra Care with it which they tell me will give me 3 years or 150000km factory warranty (at an aditional cost). The A/C compressor kinda makes a "different" noise which has somewhat disapated and I took it in to toyota this morning and they basically told me to "Let it develop". Everything still works, maybe im just parranoid. Like the first time I went up or big hill and I had some pretty ordanary "knocking" in the engine which I later learn (even the owners manual states) that its normal and apparently has something to do with the VVT-i. The Fully Cream interior is a little bright but, Ive ordered, Dash Mate, Rubber floormats, cargo mate and I installed my existing Sheep Skin seat covers (with slight modifications ((armrests)) so its slowly becoming a little more practical. Im hoping this Car will do me for some time for my potential up-comming family and Ive hurd a lot about toyota reliability which all I can say is better then Holden's. Mixed City mostly highway k's on the way back home first stop @ 270Km used 27Lt of Fuel so thats not to bad. havent found the "range" feature of the trip computer that ive hurd others talk about but oh well. My First Commodore (VS) was Auto to start with then converted it to Manual, all other cars have been Manual since. This Auto has some strange behavour but thankfully it doesnt seem as bad as many people have reported on the net. I did do my research before buying and that was my only concern. It Does tend to lag a little sometimes but its predictable and really not that hard to adapt to. Plans are to get a Queensland Bullbar (polished alloy) fitted in the next few weeks, and a towbar. Also would like to get side steps or atleast front mud flaps??(WTF) why they are not standard for a AWD is beyond me. Anyway Ill post some pics and let me know what you think!!
