  1. The wear extends 15mm from the outside of the tread. The rest of the tyre surface (that contacts the road) is as new.

Here is a photo of the worst affected tyre (passenger side).

The question is Do these 18 month old Sumitomos need to be trashed because of this 15mm outer tread wear?

These are fine, might get away with these :)

You need wheel allignments as u mentioned earlier :)

  2. Thank you Ronyboy.

I am already having probl;ems with reaching engine oil drain plug ion my 2005 Altise. I never had any problem going under in my 1995 Vienta. May be ground clearnaces are diffrent. Now getting body kits will further restrict access to under body of Altise.

I normally get the Toyota Dealer to service the car. The Service Centre usually takes care of all that for me, at the service intervals :)

Do you service the car yourself? or do you only do the oil change?

  3. Another comment - I was driving the gen 6 Camry on the highway and when there was turbulence around (eg: passing heavy trucks) on a freeway at 105km/h+ the steering wheel was vibrating badly. When only passenger cars around, no problem.

Yep, i think your little 1.5 Tonne Camry were being blown away by the 50 Tonne Trucks :P

  4. ive been traveling to melb>syd>bathurst>syd>bathurst>canberra>boom....>stuck in cowra(middle of no where)for 1week & $1100 repair bill>Bath>Melb Home.

    1 Week in cowra :0

I think Premium Road side assistance in a must for long drives....

  5. When you get new wheels, you are meant to aim to get a tire that makes the overall wheel and tire diametre be as close to the factory wheels/tires as possible. .

    Thats correct...

As long as the overall Diameter is the same size as your current tyres you should be fine :)
