  1. i think they may require some sanding or slight cutting to be a perfect fit...

i remember seeing a pair of these (not yet installed) from some1 who bought these at one of our monthly meets... didnt stick them on yet because he needed to slightly mod it.

  2. i looked into this a while ago...

they arent even street legal here in sydney so i didnt bother.

Unless you can get a generic kit from the USA... then i guess your kinda stuck. but i think theres another way if you check in ebay.. theyre selling instructions on how you can build the hinges yourself from ordinary parts from the hardware store. not sure how trustworthy and roadworthy they are, but if you wanted to save $$$ then you can go that way...

other than that try 2 order 1 from the USA. good luck with it mate! would be ncie to see a runx with lambo doors

  3. Just thought it would be good to mention that MAP81s video was shown again last night on FHV.. amongst the other videos submitted that could have made it to the finalz.

    nice 1!

Didn't make it:( Not on there websites "Semi finalist" section anyway.

I think you have to read a little more carefully. I said it "was shown amongst other videos submitted that COULD HAVE made it to the finals.

i didnt say it made it.

  4. are you in NSW? if not then teh following info may or may not help you.

your suspension should depend on what you want to do..

rock hopping or doing hill climbs, driving through mud etc?

is it leaf or coil spring?

id recommend ranchoz suspension since you can adjust them from hard to soft settings without leaving the drivers seat.

lookup OUT OF TOWN 4WD, ARB, TRACTION 4...

theres a couple places in blacktown that i used 2 go 2 when i drove my bundera.. never had the money for most of the stuff i wanted. cant remember the name.. but they are in kings langley or kings park.. not sure. but yea not far from sunnyholt rd.

heres 1 site you can check out

    http://www.bbmotorsports.com.au/category44_1.htm

unless you are driving offroad pretty regularly... or your hilux is strictly for offroad only *not used for shopping*, then you shouldnt consider getting a lift. looks good... greater visability by looking 3-4 cars over provided they are all lowered civics lol.. but yea.. if its your daily driver, it aint practical.

if u just dont give a ***** and have the money and want it anyway, then

  5. out of curiosity, can you gain 10kw from just changing the oil, sparkplugs, and a retune? realistically what would be the gains for a stock rolla? lol

  6. Did other people use the original plastic mounts, or just get new ones or something?

i was in the process of making fibreglass pods so that the speakers would be angled upwards, towards the ears of the ppl in the front seats. that process went on for far 2 long and got 2 damn complicated.. got annoyed that they werent in teh car already so scrapped the fibreglass podz and went with the easier, stealthier option of pulling out the stockiez and put the Punch'z in as a direct replacement.

these were my mounts: took bout 15 mins to cut and join the 2 bits of wood together... all i did was trace the outline nad the hole placement from the original speakers on mdf and cut with power saw (the proper round speaker rings were bought for like 8-10 bucks off autobarn)left overnight to let the liquid nail wood glue to cure

    DSCF1521.jpg

i used these funky fasteners to keep them in place.. think they were called scissor clips or something. not sure.. but they were screwed into the holes that the original speakers used

    DSCF1524.jpg

if tehre is any vibration.. i dont notice it. they sound great when you play cdz.. though my stock hu has gone haywire and ive been stuck with AM/FM for the past few monthz coz no $$$ coming in coz im still in uni for the time being.

  7. geez thats a tough call.. i still cant make the call over what id really like to drive...

the freedom of a 4wd vs the compact fuel efficiency of a hatchback?!?

really cant bare 2 part with either of em unless i can get the best of both worldz in 1 car (highly unlikely)

    edit: took this pic 2nite

  8. thought id bring this thread back up since its already been talked about...

heres a bit of what i found out bout the new celica..

    Road & Track Magazines

It comes as no surprise that Toyota has something up its sleeve int he mid-price range sports-car segment. As Nissan's 350z keeps rolling year after year with solid sales numbers and a growing fan base, Toyota has had no answer; the most sporting model in the current lineup is the TRD Tacoma pickups, as the company's sporting cars namely the Celica and Supra, are no longer around. But things may change dramatically very soon. As we reported several months ago, plans are under way for a new Supra. And we've discovered thatthe new Supra has the makings of something very special. Toyota is pulling no punches with this car. Simply put, it plans to take over the mid-price sports-car segment. The new Supra which we predict will go on sale in early 2008, will be powered by a naturally aspirated 3.5 liter V-6 (2GR-FSE in the GS350) The specially tuned version of this all-aluminum powerplant is expected to produce 350bhp at 7000 rpm and about 290 lb-ft of torque at 5000. Combine this with a curb weight of about 3200 lb, and you have a car that could run to 60 mph in the mid-4.0 secs. making it quicker than the current 350z. There is still the possibility that Toyota will jam its 4.3 liter V-8 into the engine bay, but not until later in its life cycle. The V-6 may come mated to a twin-clutch 6-speed manual transmission like the DSG used in the Audi and Volkswagon. Because the Supra will be built on the current Lexus IS platform, it will no doubt come with the same basic suspension setup upper and lower A-arms up rear. However, we hear that Toyota engineers are busy tuning it to handle with the best sports cars in Europe. The new Supra is experted to come in both coupe and convertible versions or perhaps as a retractable hardtop, with the price tag under that of the 350z. Think of it; a new sports-car priced in the low-$30,000 range with the handling and power-to-weight ratio of a car-and with Toyota reputation. It's a car that'll grab the attention of any enthusiast.
