  1. hey ken! 2nd GB have already ended!!! but if you still want one.. go find 1 from syd..

coz the seller is trying to get the other 4 intakes this week..

he said he will send the 6 intakes by today/tomorrow.

What do you mean go find 1 from Syd? Find another person?

Think we might have one :)

Do you think you can ask to guy to tag two more ordes onto the existing GB?

PS: Since im keeping the car now i might as well get one. LOL

  2. I think most people are aware that it is already blinding people, and 99% of people that fit them to their car realise that it is illegal.

I put 6000k in my corolla, and after 10mins of driving i pulled over to adjust my headlights.

They are now pointed as far down to the ground as possible, and not pointing in peoples eyes.

I find the cheap $10 bulbs off ebay are actually more blinding with the extra glare they the give off.

    My 2c

How do you point your lights down?

One of my bulbs blew, so i swapped them some new ones. They are nice and bright for me, but if im driving behind anyone it can be quite annoying.

I was under the impression they just clip on, and thats about as far as it goes.

  3. read that thread already.

only 2 users said they have better fuel economy...

I cant see how someone can get 700km outta tank for a corolla.

I get about 450 now before the light goes on and thats using BP ultimate.

So anyways, would the ppl who bought a TRD one and installed it please comment.

  4. i really want the insurance to get involved...

but i said, alright if he wants to pay cash and get it fixed..... sigh.. i regret saying that... saves a lot of trouble!!!

anyway.. i'll leave my car at my panel beater tomorrow morning.... and he can get his guys to check it out there.

Michael, have you noticed that NO ONE has agreed with what you have said so far? Sorry to sound harsh, but the reality here is that no one wants to see you getting screwed over. A few of the guys talk from actual experience, so its up to you to believe them.

I know you're a nice guy, but DO NOT feel sorry for this bloke, do not accept his cash. You will only get screwed over.

Once you accepted the cash (or even a portion of it), you've pretty much "resolved" it and you wont have much of a leg to stand.

So if he screws you, and you take it NRMA, its going to become a piece of turd.

He will probably argue/make up that you accepted partial fault hence why you accepted to foot a portion of the bill, which is why he only paid you $1000 instead of $3000. Your story vs his. You will be surprised at how many different variants of the story that can arise from these things, and how messy these things can become (and NRMA wont even want to touch it with a 10ft pole!).

How honest can the guy be if he's in the "car industry" and driving around a "car thats for sale" with "no license", which to me spells "im out to screw you"

Btw, if you really want cash, make sure you get the highest quotes, and DO NOT let him quote it. If he doesnt agree to those quotes, then tell him you will take it through the insurer. Remember his "panel beater" will go there and try to underquote. ie Your quote - $3000. His "panel beater" quote will be $1500. Guess what he's gonna offer to pay. ;)

PS: You can also sue him for damages caused to your neck. I recommend that both you and your gf get checked out by a doctor and get a full written report. If there are potential injuries which the doctor recommends that you take time off work, sue the d!ckhead for loss of income too.

  5. So im guessing everyone in Syd is paired up then?

Still half tempted, though if there isnt a odd number then I guess thats a good enough excuse for me to save my money :)

Let me know if anything changes or if Oncy bails, happy to step in to fill the void (well rather its just an excuse for me to buy a CAI. LOL).

  6. Why not just send kcorros CAI to Sydney as a pair, then ship it down to melbourne afterwards?

How much would shipping down to melbourne be anyway?

Xploshun, as for me, worse case scenario with the CAI is i buy it and dont install it. Let it gather dust for a while then resell it :P (So if you are in desperate need of a buyer to create a pair, give me a call - I PM'ed you with my mobile number anyway).
