  1. How do we stand atm?

If we're sitting on an odd number for buyers in NSW ill probably go in.

xploshun, do you work in the city (just in case i need to pay you).

Cheekyage, you in? I live in Campsie, so Kingsgrove is nearby, however if oncy is in you might as well pair up with him.

(im still undecided on whether i want a CAI. LOL)

  2. Generally you will start to notice it from around 2K upwards......well thats with my ces cai anyway.........you will definitely notice it once past 3K in general......below 2K absolutely no difference

Was that on an auto or a manual though?

  3. I got an AEM in mine (auto), you get more delay and lag down low when u get this fitted, but it sounds and feels better in the higher revs. It's only worth it if your going to plant your foot down alot. It's not hard to install it, I took it to professionals who told me it wasn't made for my car. But I fitted it myself, the hard part is taking off and re attaching the front bar. But I think you could find a way through the mud-guard lining.

When you say down low, what rev ranges are you referring to? <3k?

Cos normal driving i dont usually go past 3k.

If its only good on higher revs ie 5k+ then it'll probably no good for me.

  4. I wish to wash my car in front of my house, but I'm living in Apartment now and not allow lol.. :(

Does it actually state that you are not allowed to wash your car?

Ive washed my car at my mates apartment before, no one says anything :)

  5. hehe

    Your house + a bucket :P

But seriously i dont know any places around ryde... anyways whats wrong with washing the car at your place anyway? I wash my car in front of my house all the time (once every two months :P) with a bucket. Last time i checked that was still legal.

  6. What about the custom charges issue?

Wasnt this a major issue when the bitracer (i think it was bitracer) that tried to organise an AEM CAI group buy from the states?

Tempted to join this GB however, i may be giving the car away to my younger bro later on this year......

Are there really any benefits installing a CAI on an auto?

Btw who can install these things for cheap??

  7. meh! Most cars have this problem i believe.

    Some worse than others.

The honda accord euro is similar to yaris in the sense that its about 10km under.

I just compensate by driving faster :D

If the speedo thing annoys you that much just get bigger rims or high profile tyres :)

That way you exceed the minimum requirements and get a more accurate reading. :P

  8. I'd personally stay away from Liverpool (no offence d_ice). Worked in that area for over 2 years.

Way too many junkies for my liking... all the junkies pretty much moved from Cabramatta to Liverpool.

The property prices there are also a joke, you get brand new units next to a cemetery with a asking price of 350k. Then you get older housing about 5 mins walk away on the other side of the main road for a similar price. Stupid property developers... to many properties all consolidated into the location.

  9. depending on if i get my own appatment i would buy an aw11 (if i dont get an appartment) so i have been thinking about it lately.

which is better car the NA or the 4agze engine ? which is more fun ? what is the weight difference ? does supercharged car have bigger breaks or better suspension ? i know they use a 4x100 stud pattern so my rims wont fit... is it common to find 14/15 by 7 or 8 in the studpattern ? what offsetts are normally run on mr2 ?? are parts rare (like ae86) ??? .........lol sorry about all the questions, they might be n00by but yah im thinking about aw11 so need to know.

Whats more fun is buying the apartment, paying off the mortgage, then using the equity to purchase a car down the track.

That way you have lower interest payments + better car, while everyone else has higher interest payments (as they bought later) + a crapper car (purely because they cant afford a better card due to their higher interest repayments as they had to borrowing more). :D

  10. At the risk of sounding racist, are there any particular cultures or groups of ppl you would prefer (or not prefer) to live around?

Sydney CBD is good i guess if you want to work in the City and wont have a car to drive around.

Surry Hills and Redfern (which is next to Central - also located in the CBD), I'd probably tend to stay away from as there are higher breakin (from what i hear) in that area compared to other nearby CBD locations.

    Suburbwise -

Strathfield - Transport is great, frequent trains to the CBD. Predominately Korean

Parramatta - Is ok too, but there are a large majority of Indians (mainly student types - ie messy and loud) living in the units surrounding the station and shopping centre

Anywhere on the Bankstown line starting from Campsie heading out west isnt that great (lived in that area all my life), seems to me there are more d!ckheads in the area surrounding those train lines than any othe region, and train service on that sux as well. :)

  11. Saw a Corolla Ascent parked on Castlereagh st Sydney CBD today.

Belonged to the Australian Federal Police... im sure cos i saw a MASSIVE sign on the dashboard + the coppers in getting out of the car in uniform are a dead giveaway :P

That said, I dont think that car is going on any high speed chases :P

  12. Bill already recommended one.

Seriously with all the crap you've been through, $3xx is worth the investment.

You dont want to be getting all sorts of acidic crap on your fingers.

$3xx for assurance is well worth it (and well if it happens again, then theres definitely something wrong with your car!).
