  1. my password is usually a quote (without spaces) i would remember.

    Something rather stupid, but long.

    eg. a homer quote

    carpullingintokrustyburgerpowerlesstoresist

i would have no problem remembering it, but good luck to those trying to guess it. LOL

  2. I also limit the amount of IP's available through the DHCP settings.

eg. Ive got 3 PC's connected via cat5, and 2 laptops thru wireless, ive set a total of 5 IP address available through the DHCP settings, this ensures if anyone is trying to get into my network, they cant cos all the IP's are used up (well im sure they could if they really wanted to, but ive just created another hurdle for them to jump over).

  3. I kinda have the same problem with my 02 Conquest. Each time I go over a bump, my driver's window rattles/makes a small clunk noise. Is this normal to all power windows?

Well mine was only when you wind them up or down.

You sure you didnt leave a pen or screwdriver in your door pockets? :P

Get it checked out by your local toyota dealer, its probably something loose inside, they can tighten for you. Downside is that you may need to leave your car there for the day.

EDIT: Just realised yours is an 02 conquest, so warranty is finished... so they might charge you.

  4. LOL just had a look at that site.

I noticed the there were a fair few comments about drivers on the M5 tailgating / speeding.....

Hmmmz i wonder if the drivers who actually reported that understand the KEEP LEFT unless overtaking concept....

Probably not, so someone should report them for being idiots too. :P

Seems that ppl in NSW have an issue with speeding... looks like the government propaganda is working. Driving speed limit or below the speed limit does not mean you are safe driver.

Couldnt find my plates on there, so it must be a good thing. LOL

  5. This is not entirely correct. I got my EBC green stuff for street use. EBC red stuff is for track use. You can get EBC black stuff which is OEM replacement. I have no squeeling or grinding noises from my EBC green stuff. In addition they do not require warming up and do not have additional brake dust from normal pads, actually they produce less dust from standard. That why i bought these. Check prices and you may find them suprisingly well priced.

Well ive got the greenstuff too (Omn1potent here convinced me they were good), and well they are good :)

    Im happy with them.

My only issue is that they are more dusty than the jap OEM pads from toyota, however in comparison to other european made pads they are pretty clean.

Still my wheels are covered in brake dust, at the 2 week mark they look like a nice gun metal grey, after 4 weeks they look crap and i know its time for a wash :P

Hey the stock pads are pretty good, and last really long and are made in japan.

Mekong spares at canely vale you can get them for 68 dollars.

Plus they have Japan made toyota oil filters for around 15 bucks

Hey are these filters genuine ones (or are they fakes?) Any idea?

  6. ROFL!@#

Sucked in to the lying cheating biatch!

    OWNED! LOL

But I do feel sorry for the guy though..... that would hurt.... for a long time too.

PS: When i first the saw the heading I thought there was gonna be a picture / movie of your car being lowered. LOL

  7. I hope so. But this case is still under investigation and I am still waiting for the result of that investigation. I may contact them again tomorrow and see how things go. I don't want to deal with my insurance as they just waste my time. They do nothing. However after I fax them the two quote, they seem very happy to help me and even call me. <_< It seems to me that they are happy to repair my car as the lowest quote is $690 and I will cover the $500. Also, I can feel the changing attitude after the two quotes. If I can deal with the city council without problem, I will never never call my insurance again. They just want my $500 excess and I really don't know why?

Of course they want your money.... they are no different to anyone else.

As for the council, persistence pays off.

If the person you are speaking to doesn't help and treats you rudely, kindly ask for their full name, employment title and department. If they dont want to tell you request to speak to their manager, if their direct manager is busy request to speak to another manager, and if that is busy request to speak to the next manager. There is bound to be at least one manager who is free.

Make sure you record the time and date of everyone you spoke to.

Once you manage to speak to that manager ask for their full name and department in which they work, if they refuse they obviously don't want to help you (and are scared you might report them, hence they hide behind a phone), request to speaker to higher management.

Eventually you will get someone who will help you, state your case, advise them of EVERYONE you spoke to, what those people said (no need to mention their tone at this stage - only answer this question if asked).

Remember to stay calm at all times, do not raise your tone, once you raise your tone you give them a reason not to help you. A customer service rep from the council does not have a leg to stand on if you have been polite to them and they have been unhelpful ;)

  8. The face lift sedans come with a 6 speaker setup. The pre face lifts come with a 4 speaker setup.

Is it possible to wire up an addition 2 speakers to my rear parcel shelf?

Ive also changed the deck from the stock single cd player to a sportivo 6cd mp3 player (im assuming the sportivos had 6 speakers).
