  1. Hey,

if you have a Symbian Mobile phone, you can use them as a GPS. All you need to buy is the Bluetooth GPS Receiver.

Im using the N70 as a GPS and it works amazing with TOMTOM Software.

How much is a Bluetooth GPS receiver?

Are there phones out there that already have a GPS receiver built in?

  2. The only reason why im leaning towards the ICN530 at the moment is because i can pick it up for $350 new (someone i know has corporate connections with Navman or something along those lines).

From the specs ive read both Tom Tom one and Navman ICN530 use the same SirF Star III chip.

How much is the Nuvi 310? Does it speak in Vietnamese?

  3. they will continue paying you. But if they find out you went overseas, you'll have to pay it back. might aswell go in and tell them about your situation and work something out.

Exactly. Supports the system that supports you.

While it may seem great to get free money off the government, remember that every other working Australian's tax money is funding you.

You will be in that position in the near future, the last thing you want is some kid rorting the system and requiring you to pay more tax than you should.

  4. Hi

Im thinking of buying a GPS for myself, and im trying to figure out whats good and whats not.

A few ive considered are the Navman ICN520 and ICN530, the TomTom One.

Ive read that the ICN520 has a slow GPS fix, and have been told that TomTom's are much better.

Has the GPS fix issue been retified in the ICN530?

Also my gf's father is in the market for one, except he wants one that can also play MP3's, and if possible speak in Vietnamese.

If anyone can give me opinions on what is good that would be great!

    Thanks!

  5. been hearing alot of good comments and hence i am going to d sports to get it done. hopefully all turns out good. i have read from the forum that someone here had a bad experience onli but rest is all good.

    sorry for the lengthy post.

    Bad experience? Who??

    lol..

nek u should start getting some commissions from dsport :P

LOL i should eh? :D :yahoo:

nah its good to see that others are getting the same excellent service that i receive from Dsports. (Gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling inside :P)

  6. I think the sedans are all japan ones.

Anyways, ive got conquest sedan, I changed the front brake pads at about 55000.

The rear pads are still going strong.

I ended up changing the pads to EBC Green stuff, they stop quite well, but they are heaps dusty.

  7. I know where you are coming from...

    but the difference here....

when i post a topic like this ...ppl say i have issues...

Its the way its worded and how people interpret the tone (as well as the language used).

There are many ways to say the same thing, some ways can be offensive, some ways may not be..... which is why we pay lawyers so much.

  8. Lol .... ken your adding an extra lane into the equation ..... that intersection is only 3 lanes wide ..... the left lane is unable to do anything but go left because of the cement triangle forcing u 2 go left .... the middle lane can only go straight and the right lane can go straight or turn right .....

haha, Im asian i can add as many lanes as i want :P

but i could swear there is a there is a lane that is a right turn only.

tempted to go out there to check just so i can be sure... but i cant be bothered :P

  9. Isn't there 2 lanes turning right into Church St. from Parammatta Rd ?

The far right lane has to turn right. The lane beside it has the option of going straight to the freeway or right into Church St.

i could swear thats the case as well.

    rightest lane = turn right

lane next to that = turn right or go straight

lane next to that one = go straight

then theres a small opening for the leftest lane = turn left.

Ive turned right in the 2nd rightest lane a number of times (dont really do it much these days cos i just take the m4).

You should go back there and take pictures like the others have said.

Heres what i thought the intersection was like

The lane that only has the option to go straight merges with the lane that has the option to turn right or go straight.

  10. hey guys, jus had my eyelids and grille painted at dsports, and i must say their great! paint matches perfectly and service was good, but best of all it was real cheap!!

the guy (forgot his name) quoted $30 for eyelids and $25 for the grille. went to pick them up 2day and he charged me $45!!! bargin!! highly recommended. :P

The guys name is Dave, he's alright eh.

Did he install the eyelids and grill for you as well? He did mine for free ages ago :D

Its hard to find good price and good service, thats why i still go back to him.

  11. i sold mine for $300 and that was after 40000km with very light scratching on two of the rims.

I then bought some near new <1000km sportivo rims for $700 or so.

But the price he offered you is good, but try to advertise them here and see what price you get (just make sure the tyre shop didnt up the price of the other rims to compensate!).

  12. the new corolla sedan looks like a its been styled by hyundai :(

(Actually the Hyundai Sonata looks better..... and so does the Yaris Sedan).

Im disappointed in the styling of the new sedan.

Im gonna go buy a Honda Civic now :P

  13. Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 04 Corolla. At the moment the CD player is security locked and I wasn't given a code.

I have the log books but it doesn't seem to be specified in it? What do I do?

    Thanks,

    Andrew

If you bought the car brand new, you should have got a card stating the pin.

If you didnt go back to the dealer and demand one. It should cost you nothing because it should have been there to begin with.

If you bought it 2nd hand, ask the dealer nicely and they might be able to help you (also its advisable to go the dealer you bought the 2nd hand car from, or look at the number plate because most dealers usually fit their details on there too).

As for cost details, call them and ask. Its the only way you'll get a definitive answer.
