  1. I was thinking of something else never mind. And $130???? So Mitsubishi has it beat by just $10 less! I was thinking the price you mentioned for Kisashi V6 would be the top range one. The base model would be roughly $36-39k. Yeah I know what you mean by Mondeo but I am starting to see more of these on the roads now cos Ford Falcon wagon got the chop chop!
  2. Ok so the wheel/tyre size are the difference but no suspension changes at all. So if i were to mod it, I would put in um the same ones as on Sportivo ZR6 with front strut bar (?) You might find it funny cos my mother's 2003 Mazda 6 Classic hatch does have climate control hence my asking for this question because I originally assumed all cars have different climate controls. I should have asked if Touring or ATX have rear vents to keep my passengers warm or cool.I heard the facelifted models now feature this or have I been fed bulls***? My old Mitsubishi 2002 Magna Executive sedan had manual A/C controls and had no rear vents so the passengers were either hot or cold in the back. To be honest I thought the same thing as you but could the V6 direct injection engine have more power than an Aurion? For the size of Suzuki Kizashi, I am thinking maybe a 2.5 litre V6? But if it is a 3 litre and has more power than an Aurion, I fear everyone is gonna drop their Falcondore or Commocon or any other V6 related cars (notice I left out Aurion) go for it. For me I rather wait and see on this. A pity the V6 wasn't out yet! I think I drove a Suzuki hire car back when I was in Melbourne. A Suzuki Liana or something like that. Roomy and quite zippy for a 4 cyl 2.0 litre engine. Best handling I ever had and I wasn't one bit bored with it unlike Toyota Corrolla hire car which I had in Brisbane (not the best choice for the hilly parts of Brisbane). I didn't think about Suzuki cars for years until the photos of Kisashi came out and all the sudden I am seeing it in different light. That was why it was on my list. Well my mother has a 2003 Mazda 6 Classic hatch. I do know what you mean about the noise even if I have cochlear implant on! A hatch does look better than a sedan but the wagon does look sexier. Yeah the sedan is not nice looking at all hence the reason for people going for the hatch or wagon more. That's why I am going for 2009/2010 models (can't remember when there was an update on it) Yep I agree with you regarding higher servicing costs due to being a diesel but I have changed mind and decided to go for the new direct injection engine which I heard is coming out later this year (next month or August). The current Mondeo engine is pathetic to be honest and lacks pulling power to pull Mondeo's weight so I hope this new direct injection engine does better job. The reason for the wagon in both Mazda 6 Classic and Ford Mondeo Zetec is because I have 2 dogs plus i have a bicycle which I want to load it into the boot so I can drive to the park and ride around it for hours. That was the reason for me being interested in an Aurion cos of the power, economy, reliability and cheap servicing costs $120 for 4 years or 60,000kms whichever comes 1st. Hence why I am on this forum without a car (perhaps the only one here ) I really wished there was an Aurion wagon and I'd snap it up in a heart beat but eh those SUV's!
  3. Hey guys, In about 3-4 months time, I will be buying a new car. On my list are: Hyundai i45 sedan (got direct injection engine and betters Camry in terms of power plus 5-10 year warranty) Suzuki Kisashi sedan(reliability plus direct injection engine) Mitsubishi Lancer VRX sedan (driveaway cheap at 28k instead of 34k for MY10 vehicles plus 5-10 year warranty) Mazda 6 Classic hatch (newer model but may get a demo vehicle for cheap prices instead) Ford Mondeo diesel Zetec wagon (pricing is unknown if I can get demo vehicle plus roomy interior) Toyota Aurion Touring sedan (might get ATX but not that keen on it) Originally my list was to be: Holden Commodore SV6 wagon MY10 (now dumped after hearing horror stories about parts falling apart and the fact my cousin just dumped it) Ford Falcon FG XR6 sedan (dumped after a friend said he had problems since day 1 after he bought it new) Mitsubishi 380 sedan (5-10 year warranty was finished so you get to have just 2 years used warranty instead and parts are not available anymore for it so dumped it) Toyota Aurion ATX sedan You may notice that I have downsized to medium sized cars except for Toyota Aurion. Now my questions are: What does Toyota Aurion Touring drive like? Is it heaps better than ATX? How does the dual climate go? Any better than say ATX? Any options on it that I should look for to make it $32 - 34 k driveway? Cheers Dave
  4. I can confirm what he just said. When I used to drive a Mitsubishi 2002 TJ series 2 Magna sedan, I had cruise control in it. Say if I was to drive from Joondalup back to my home town which is Victoria Park, there is a dip just after Warwick Rd towards Reid Hwy, my Magna with its cruise control set to 100kmh, does the engine braking a lot early and the revs goes down a bit. Once it is back on even road, the revs go back to over 2000rpm. The magna is now gone as it got written off last year. I was set to trade it in for the Aurion later this year but no.... Currently I drive my mum's Mazda 2003 6 Classic hatch and it does the same thing as the Magna did. However on both cars, when it is on a slight incline or increasing incline, the car revs up to pull the car over it quickly. I assume the cruise control on the Aurion is the same?
  5. I am sorry but where is the link to the carsguide article? I can't seem to find it in their website?
