  1. sure is... but not much price wise :) Spoke with a bloke about a WL caprice today... going to head back in with the mrs n take it for a spin.
  2. haha she'd be a different little car to drive now... Torque steer?!
  3. So after buying what I was thinking would be a awesome little runabout, and being suprised how it just didn't live upto my expectations... i'm contemplating selling to upgrade to something better (possibly a 04-05' HSV Grange). So what is it worth now? I'm the 2nd owner if it matters. Only had it around 9mnths (or as long as i've been a member on this forum). 08' 6sp Manual, Silver, with bonnet delflector, wind deflectors on LH and RH windows, factory tint, still under its extended warranty until April this year (and get the capped price servicing also). Its spec'd with a Sunroof... and I guess thats the only option the original buyer chose as it hasn't got reverse sensors, has the base head unit (which i'd have loved to upgrade to dutchies one). Mags do not have a single scratch on them (and if they do the mrs hasn't told me about it).
  4. yes the 100kw thing is bloody horrible... I bought a 2nds Levin ZR for 21k, 40k's on the clock. I like it - but as I've voiced on here already - seats are lacking, and yea the lack of power kinda sucks. No idea why they didn't do a punchier engine... the stock suspension would be up for it.
  5. no Cheers... thats sux. Couldn't find Bride rails for the ZRE anywhere either
  6. So dutchy you still happy with this head unit??? really thinkin about changin the stock unit over... the bluetooth is fkn useless > no body can hear what i'm saying until i start yelling.
  7. Looked thru the window of a sportivo camry today... Those seats looked comfy. Gonna have a seat in one at a car yard n see if they are half decent. Might sneek under the seat n see if it's the same as the rolla.
  8. installing aftermarket seats... requires mod plate/engineering?
  9. ahhhh... well yes a lexus would be comfy. Lexus dont do a car of the corolla size do they? darn. Ya I assumed the aurion seats would a wee bit wider. The width of the corolla seat doeesn't bother me at all... its all the back support or lack there of. Yep i've looked specifically at reclinable seats with lumbar adjustments... Oh well... i assume we'll never get to the point where sloshing out the money to change seats will happen... we'll probably sell the car n just grab something larger. Cheers for all the inputs
  10. You lost me! Ls? I have sighted a few nice looking seats that dont look fulli race spec... yes pricey! oh very! http://www.modyourcar.com.au/sparco-seat--milano-2--alcantara-fabric-p9636 > $1799!!! http://www.modyourcar.com.au/bride-brix-ii-reclining-seat--full-black-fabric-p4217 > $1495! And that appears to be the per-seat price... not a pair. Was hoping someone had ventured an Aurion seat route n suceeded...
  11. The mrs's bugbear with the corolla are the seats. She gets some back aches from the seats... and to be honest i'm very suprised the Levin ZR didn't have any fancy luxury seats compared to the base model. They dont even have lumbar support which is crazy. Anyways question is - are the options our there for changing the seats? would aurion seats bolt in? Not looking to race bucket seats... something with more adjustment and cushyness. I love the new wrx STi seats, like a big tight cuddle... but my mrs bloody hated the 3 seconds she sat in it at a dealer... think the budonkadonk was too great!
  12. fantastic little car... Mrs had one, drove it from Adelaide to Townsville with no worries. Ballsy little engine... Then we kinda lost the love with it and failed to maintain it... ended up selling it for $600 bucks and bought a commonwhore and have a new model corolla now.
  13. Soooooo... after Toyota replaced the light bulb... now randomly the alarm just goes off. But I cant stop it... lock/unlock per the book and it wont stop. I assume toyota would have disconnected the battery when changing the bulb and this would be the cause of the issue... but makes no sense to me that I cant shut the alarm off. So the mrs is dropping the car off to them thismorning and will turn her b*tch on. We are driving upto pt douglas this friday so them failing to repair aint an option. Very surprised the alarm is in the boot area... Also not related (well i fkn hope not) the right hand side rear light assmebly has water in it! wtf. Its only about 5mm of water but i'm really fkn surprised its got in there... something else for warranty to fix. Think that has something to do with the alarm????
  14. yeah had a looky-loo at them last night... cant see any difference. Cheers Thus endith the thread!
  15. Done... with no fuk ups and no waiting (as we dropped it off and I collected it a few hours later after work). Got a call to say it was done... they seemed under less workload that day. I did try and get a peek at the $ invoice quickly... sure it was over $100 for the 1 globe!!! Pretty sure they'd have only changed the one globe right?
  16. Going in at 2.30 this arvo... I'm assuming toyota will fk it up and be morons so... my sights are set low so they can only impress me from here :)
  17. Axel tramp or something similar... my rolla does the same... its ****. But i'm not allowed to spend money on the car so I just resist the urge to spin wheels n its all good. Oh course if you really really bloody give it some... not a launch but a burnout... it doesn't seem to do it (as much). Maybe its a mix of axel tramp and a loss of traction at low power/low wheel speed... i dont know. Never been a fan of FWD cars...
  18. so mike carney toyota are a bunch of fkn morons. I rang up when booking the car in to say the headlight was out... that didn't spark any thought 'oh... we dont have any HID kits in stock... better order one' so the Mrs drops the car in at 3.30pm sharp... is still sitting there at 4.30pm when I dropped past after work. I told the Mrs to take the commonwhore and go home, cook me some dinner. So I walk upto the counter to say i'll be collecting the corolla when its ready... 'oh looks like its been done' sez the fktard... the keys up on the wall like they have been there for a long bloody time. Thank god the mrs didn't hear that cuz she'd have blown a top... she was sitting there for a fkn hour and they probably looked at the car, n put it back in the car park 5 minutes after she arrived. So initially I thought fine, wateva... a least the car is done. 'so yea, we dont have any HID globes in stock... be a week to ship one from Sydney'. I was due to blow but held my cool... he then proceeded to not listen to what I said and booked me on the wrong day and time next week... fkn moron. Going to make a few calls today: 1) Ashdown Ingram - see if they have any HID globes to suit my car in stock. 99% sure it'll be a no... 2)I'm going to call up Mike Carney today and see if changing the globes myself will harm my warranty... cuz they are so fkn useless and I dont like having the mrs driving the car around at night with 1 headlight... Why the fk they wouldn't stock HID globes when they are becoming very bloody popular in higher spec'd toyota's (or so i was to believe).
  19. booked into toyota place tomorrow arvo... earliest they could book it in. Will update ASAP From the convo it should be all under warranty, and found out the warranty run out 8th of april next year also
  20. Champion... once mike carney toyota wake up they'll get a call :)
  21. oh and the levin is still under warranty... does warranty cover bulbs???
  22. So last night noticed the drivers side headlight (lowbeam) is out... so being the ZR its got HID's. So is it the bulb thats blown or the ballast is fkd? i have no idea... some helpful advice :) Tried both autobahn n repco... no dice on bulbs. So WHERE do i buy replacement bulbs? and if i buy do I just get a bulb or do I need to buy a complete bulb, ballast etc. kit??? Dont say ebay... i know ebay exists. rather buy local so i can install right meow. And can i change the bulb etc. myself??? read the toyota manual - it pretty deliberately leaves out info on changing HID bulbs, mentions refer to dealer.
  23. Aus sucks for sources of good globes... I want a pair of PIAA ion yellow for my foggies... ebay and direct from a US car shop appear the only options.
