thought legally you were allowed 1 or 2 inches above placard max diameter?

clicked on virtual wheels?? I dont mind these... wish BJ they had a bigger range. Does any other site have this kinda of virtual wheel application???

I think it's actually louder with the Bridgestones vs. the std Yokahamas on the 16" alloys. I didn't notice road noise the first day, but have since. It doesnt bother me though. Usually have music on loud enough not to bother me :) I plan to throw some Toyo's on when these yoko's are done... tho this car isn't very hard on tyres so that might be a while. Or I could go the new wheels route... haha... yeah I wont get mrs approval for that seeing as it is her everyday car. I'm relegated to the silence of the commonwhore

less road noise with the new wheels??? My levin is so fkn loud... its my biggest gripe with the car... at 80 or 100km/h its ridiculous!

just bought a 2nd hand (1-owner) levin ZR from brissy last weekend... its an 08 so the current/new interior is probably a little different but I'd assume overall its near the same. I'm pretty happy with it... love the high-set gear change (manual), the dash is bright, simple and informative... seat could be a little more cushy but its still comfortable > I drove it for 13 hours home to Townsville and didn't get a sore back or whatever. Probably going to get seat covers as the material doesn't seem very hard wearing. As for extras i got a sunroof, but no reverse sensors, no reverse camera (would have liked), basic 6stack CD player + bluetooth.... but yea i'm pretty happy with it. Its no power-monster but i've got a motorbike for going fast... and the kawka is only a smidge better on fuel than the levin :) haha 636cc compared to 1800cc. so handling... this has the stock suspension obviously and it handles fine... a fk load better than our other car - commodore :) haha. I too would like to lower it just for looks but that'll never get approved via the minister of finance.

So looking to put a set of seat covers on the levin for protection... so what are my options? cant grab any set with the side airbags right? Mrs is looking for something 'fluffy' and thick.. the genuine toyota once dont look that plush.

you could just be totally used to it... not getting the same thrill as when it was new to you. But other possible things... needs a tune, needs injectors cleaned, new fuel filter (could be partially blocked), new air filter (same thing - partially blocked), could be a quazillion and one things... Engines are inherently going to decrease in power over time, not magically make more.

it could possibly be the other way around... same rotor but a harder pad ie. sintered metal pads. They are alot more aggressive > giving far better braking at the expense of rotor life. Just a thought

fk a duck... thats a bloody nice rolla... yeah I doubt I'll be doing any of that to the levin, regardless of my wanstings to, the minister of finance (aka The Mrs) will swiftly kill my dreams.

Yelloow everyone... 1st post... Just bought a 08' Levin ZR from brissy and drove the 1350km's home on the w/e... So is it just me or that car has ALOT of road noise at highway speed? thought it could be the tyres but still its pretty loud. Otherwise it drove perfect. So the new car (officially the mrs's new car - i'm relegated to driving the commonwhore to work) is pretty near perfect condition... not even a spot of gutter rash on the wheels. Manual, gots a sunroof, the base stock stereo with bluetooth, and all the other basic levin stuff. No reverse sensors or reverse camera which would have been a bonus but meh can do without. So curious if there are any tips or tricks people know of that the Toyota manual doesn't divulge? :) Pic of the car on the drive home saturday...
