  1. Dragging up an old thread. . Have just got my carback today and am having the same probem as this. Will be looking over this list in the next few days.. any idea if he ended up getting it fixed?
  2. Make sure you stay away from big puddles if you have CAI and no guard, don't want any water sucked up there. I lost mine on a road trip, my local panel beater found mine for me, not sure where or how much, few years ago now.
  3. love the look of the rims, any scrubbing issues? and much involved in in pumping the guards?
  4. what would you recomend for someone in the hot humid weather in darwin?
  5. I've got kings, and i've had to replace both front plastic guards, road tripping and bumps pulled them straight out at over 100kms an hour. driving around town i get the occasional scrape if i hit a nasty bump, or corner a lil too quick. look insinde your wheel arch, if it is the tyre rubbing on that you shold see a little melted area from the friction.
  6. Ebay Chelee, i saw some there last week, some white plastic and some carbon fibre, and i think the 03's look heaps better with eyelids, the light are just too big otherwise.
  7. love quiet days at work, this vid make's me want to drive it even more now. Hopfully test driving one in the next few weeks...
  8. I've got TRD CAI, apart from that just koni's, kings, and whiteline sway bars. deffinately a fun drive, done it a few times in a few different cars now. freedom of open roads... unfortunatly the gov. took our unlimited speed limit off the stuart hiway, only 130km/h now.
  9. i bought my sportivo in bris, drove to Darwin after basic tune up, 15 hour day drives in 30 degree plus tempretures, 3425km spred across 3 days. no drama's at all. recently did darwin to kunnanurra (800kmish) in 7hrs, again no drama's, lot hotter up here and my stivo loves roadtrips. On the bris- darwin road trip, if i remember correctly (it was a while ago now) i acctually got close to 850km out of a tank.
  10. I just droped into my local lock and key shop, they had aftermarket key case identical to my old key case minus the toyota symbol on the back, droped my buttons into the new one, cut the key, $12 later new key and case working in all locks. Was a little sticky in the barrel for a day or 2, but been no drama's since then.
  11. Welcome mate, have always thought the ruckus would look good dumped with a set of rims, always wanted one to set up for a sound off. and i agree with jeffy, love to see some pics of the KE70.
  12. Well Kenshin, have slowly read your whole thred over the last few days, in my spare time. Very impressed. could only wish to have your knoledge. looking forward to seeing things turn out once your next stage is compleate. Wish there was some (any) members like you up in Darwin. from what i've seen on the roads up here, i"m the only one who looks after their Stivo. seeing the pic's of the none ported headers vs the ported one's... i know what my next plan is. Trying to save up to do the exhust at the same time. good luck with everything, hope to see more posts soon. :)
  13. Thanks jeffy, thought it would be, don't want to go quite as dark as yours was. did you get a fine along with the defect notice? Prozak, yes i mean do ecu, but thats the last thing on my mind. bit more research to do first, have read a little about it, would like to make it rev a little longer, or bring when it drops into lift lift back a little. Spend a lot of my free time these days reading everyone's posts and getting little ideas. some might call me a dreamer... but whats the point of living if we can't dream a lil.
  14. Thanks Dave, hope to start doing some modding in the next few months once i start my new job. Getting a company car so i can keep stivo off the road and do some work, same as most people, thinking i'll port the OEM headers, 2.5 cat back, get a suspension check to see if anyting needs stiffening up.... have been thinking about chipping it, but need to learn\teach myself a little more about that side of things first, plus don't know if there is anyone in Darwin with a Dyno s might be pointless.... always happy for ppl to throw suggestions at me. one more ramdom question.... the tint you can get to cover your headlights and taillight,,, is it actually legal to put that over your lights? I'd love to buy some to make my rolla even blacker... but don't want to waste my money if i'm just going to get in trouble from the law.
  15. I've done the forum's search, still a few posts to check, i know i've got rear sway and strut, TRD CAI, koni yellow... lowered on kings... not sure if its low or super low... i've checked zee's profile and can't find any info there... mainly curious if he's done any internal engine work... headers, valves, chip? if anyone has any idea it would be great... I am new to the whole modding scene.... is there any way to tell if my stock headers have been ported without taking them off?
