Use your multi meter to make sure this red one is the one you want. The needle should move slightly during the "dim". If you havn't got a multi meter you could use a torch globe. My memory is pretty poor, but I have an inkling it was the orange one beside it. No responsibility taken :-) Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck with it.

I was wondering about him also. I havn't been here for quite a while and just dropped back in for a peak. Saw someone else wanted footwell and I have erased my photos of my wiring. If it is possible to get back to his original photos of the install I would appreciate the photos back. He was a legend and helped me heaps with footwell and other mods.

Hi, have had mine wired to the wires suggested by Darryl and others for about three and a half years now. Dimmable deep blue. I'm still as stoked with them as I was when I fitted them. The LEDs draw such little power that the fuse can cope with the extra load. If you aren't happy with that fit a very small in line fuse in your connections. Its a mod that's easy and rewarding. Good luck with it. Tom btw I fitted the multi toggle to be able to pick the fade on door opening, with the intention of supplying constant power to be able to turn them on when someones in the car with the door closed. Never got around to that bit and found it unnecessary anyway.

Thanks everyone with all the advice. After six months the local dealership got permission from Toyota to replace the entire seat. They imported a complete drivers seat from Japan and installed it (complete with my led pan lighting) under guarantee. My faith in both the Dealership and Toyota are completely restored. And, yes, I am keeping the quality leather conditioner up to all the leather :-) Cheers Tom

Hi Guys, I am thinking about updating my wife's old Corolla Hatch with a used Yaris. Forgive me if this has been asked, but I am mistified by the apparent multitude of series/serial numbers. Can anyone suggest a site that will explain them to me, please. Cheers Tom

If Toyota do agree to fix it under warranty, try to get them to replace the entire squab cover instead of just repairing your existing cover. Also, for the record, the damaged seam pictured is called a 'french seam'. This type of seam has no piping sewn into it and can be a bit of a bugger to repair properly if the leather is worn right through (as opposed to just scuffed). Thanks Guys, Yes it is the "French seam" and you are correct, there is no piping. It's only a small crack, but it looks as tho' it goes right through. I have only had the car since it was twelve months old. I don't know how it was treated before I got it. I make sure I get in and out without scraping across the swab. I've been using mothers leather on it and its not got worse, but it bugs me as the car is otherwise pristine. Thanks for the comments. Tom

Thanks guys, I usually only use Mother's products. The upholstery is in new condition, (as is the rest of the car) apart from this small split. I have a very expensive leather lounge cleaning kit which I am tempted to use, but I'll wait until after I see what they will do for me.

pretty sure it wont be as its normal wear and tear on the seats. japanese leather is crap anyways. if u wanna keep the car, u can get it retrimmed in aussie leather for 1k for the front seats. i'm assuming the aurion's seats are japanese leather???

Hi Everyone, I have just noticed the piping on my drivers (leather) seat has a small split in it. Has anyone else experienced this? I am waiting for the dealer to tell me if this is covered by the warranty. The car is just two years old and otherwise immaculate. Cheers Tom

My ride is great, although it has only 35,000 ks and standard tyres (and everything else). If I was in your shoes I would like an independent assessment. Take it to your equivalent of the NRMA (AAA?) and have them test it. It might cost you a few dollars, but would give you either peace of mind if its "normal" or something to throw at the Toyota Dealer before the guarantee runs out.
