  4. Hi Kirra. I am an old bloke so you will have to type slowely Is that price for a pair of fronts, rears, or one front and back. Not that it matters, it looks like about $66 US for a full set. If they are as good as the ones in the link I'm in. Thanks for all your effort mate. Cheers Tom
  5. Personally I think the feature is a little pointless, but I guess I'm not worried about car jacking or anything like that. Anyways, I hear that the features below are not available on the Aus spec Aurion/Gen 6 Camry, but the Gen 6 Camry in the States which is just about the same in internal gizmos has the following. Maybe you could plan on sourcing a Body ECU for the Gen 6 V6 from the States. That said, only the Intelligent Tester can modify these settings: You know there is a thread on this BTW? Doors auto lock Acording to dannywss there, he mentioned something about paying $200 for an aftermarket module that does the auto lock thing. Thanks Daryl. I went in armed with that print out. I dont see the value of adding another system. Cheers Tom
  6. Well done Kira. I presume they are $33 US each not for the set? If its within reason of that price I'll take a set, thanks. Would like to see a photo of them too (with Camry) Cheers Tom
  7. After checking the (very) early posts on duplicating master keys, I decided to head off to our local dealer. I purchased the car off them with only one master key. All attempts by them to contact the previous owner and get the second master from him/her failed. So someone (probably now on Ebay) has a master key to my car. If I lost the one master key, getting a new set would be a very expensive exercise. I also particularly wanted to have the central locking activate when the vehicle reached 20km/h, and half heartedly wanted the two stage remote unlock and the auto lock delay adjusted to 30 seconds. Seeing they had to use the intelligent tester on them all I decided to do them all at once. I have just picked up the car and a new master key, two stage locking and auto lock delay adjusted to 30 seconds, a note to say that Australian cars do not have the auto locking option and a bill for $222.40. I was told the account had been reducted because of the misunderstanding about the central locking option (and -$8 from driver's club membership) Are oz vehicles set up with a specialised computer different from other countries? The central locking feature has been available for years in Europe on other vehicles I have driven. I'm stoked with the car, p..sd with the dealer. Bitch of the day by Tom
  8. Bear in mind, during the GB, we had to have minimum numbers on the order, as we customized the engravings. They don't have 'Aurion' with them. Our models are called Camry. We tried for custom led version ones as well to say AURION but min was 500pcs to be purchased now that would be a a super aurion group buy lol P.S VFX did Larry touch bases with ya. AUR30N He's heading up here now.. I ma meet him in like an hour or so. Yea He told me about meeting you and stuff. Hahah.. 500 pcs is massive.. We could buy an Aurion and sponsor the forum.. xD The cheaper option for me is to make sure my mrs keeps changing into her slippers before she get into the car
  9. Might be a whimp, but I think its all getting too hard. I really dont want 500 of them Cheers Tom
  10. Thanks XF-X, I'll keep your post in mind if the led ones fall through... Cheers Tom
  11. Thanks kirakun, there are a couple of really nice ones shown on previous sites, but the same result you have had with the dealer. Cheers Tom
  12. Any luck with what? Sourcing the sills? Making the sills? Or the wiring for it? 1) I never searched for them, 2) I never bothered finding someone to make some (needed a laser cutter) 3) Without having them, I didn't have the need to wire them up. I have footwell lights running off the dome light though. Sorry I must have misunderstood. I thought you were asking where they were obtained in the post (Posted 28 May 2009 - 08:59 PM Firstly, where did you find Aurion LED door sills?) I will follow the advice re the wiring to the door lights when and if I get them. (Secondly you have two options. If I was to do it, I'd connect each one to the corresponding door corner light. This means you need to run wires into each door etc) It would seem they still arn't available in Australia. Cheers Tom
  13. Can you please post picture of it and supplier in china? I would connect it to the door switch. AUR30N Sorry to bring back a 12 months old post Darryl. Just wondering if you had any luck with these? I would love a set too. Cheers Tom
  14. Putting the clips in was the easiest part for me Dale. The eylets on the other hand..... Someone suggested dropping the clips in a cup of hot water but I didn't have to do that. Maybe the new eyelets are more robust. Good luck with it. Cheers Tom
  15. Thanks for the reply Adamsy. The two "plastic grommets?" that fitted through the carpet, that are supposed to hold the clips were broken off. Not real good on a car only 14 months old. This left only the two bare holes in the carpet. I have just come back from our Toyota dealer. They didn't have a listing for replacement grommets. The good news is there is an after market kit which they have ordered for me. (at about $7 each X 3 ((1 spare)) Cheers Tom No worries Tom, Happy to help. mmm not sure why they struggled to find it, i found it in under a minute lol. The carpet eyelet kit's P/N is 58510-FFDAB $6.50 each RRP The Floor Mat Clip P/N is 00206-00801 $1.65 each RRP Wouldn't believe. I'm STILL waiting for the carpet eyelets. Thats over a week now. They must be getting them from Mars ;-( So guess you don't want to hear then that we keep them in stock ha :P I'll remember that when I have to replace them again . Got a call from our dealer just after I posted my whinge. Buggers of things to fit. Actually had to drill the carpet hole out a little to get the eyelet through. The previous owner obviously had trouble with them as there was a little "glue" around the hole furtherest from the door. Looks like they just glued the top part of the eyelet on top of the carpet. Anyway, all sorted now. Thanks for your help. Cheers Tom
  16. another one to consider is advance-electronic ('s) unit. Its probably similar to the others from ebay. I got mine before my car and the advice from this site, however I've been completely happy with it so far. Havn't bothered with the TV. He is from Sydney. Cheers Tom

  18. Hi, I have just purchased a similar model (if yours is prior to the update). The more experienced members might help you out with the seats. Mine revs fairly fast on cold start, so I presume this is normal. Cheers Tom
  19. No2. Now this one only affects the face lifted model owners out there so stress less. Due to the sealing gasket composition, over a period of time under certain environmental conditions the possibility exists for the silver surfaces in the LED's in the rear combination lamps to experience corrosion. This is in under the influence of humidity and higher atmospheric temperatures, the gasket used to seal the open tale lamp and the vehicle body can emit small amounts sulpuric acid (H2S) Affecting the durability of the LED's. As a preventive measure Toyota Australia will conduct a customer service exercise to replace the RH & LH rear lamp Gasket. So nothing to major and this last one only affect vehicles built from 25th June 09 through to 21st Jan 2010. P/N:04000-51206 Hope this helps. People will start receiving letters from Toyota about it in the next couple of days. As for the loose control rod it seems to be a few and far between problem so i doubt there will be much of an issue with this one. But ofcourse if you do hear noise that doesnt sound steering shaft related or feel a vibration and do find the rod a little loose then by all means contact your nearest dearler ASAP Thanks Adamsy, I'll wait for my letter ;-( Cheers Tom
  20. Hi Hales, I've only been here a week or so but I'll jump in with a welcome to you. The support I've received from members even before I became a TOC member has been phenomenal. I've just purchased my '09 Aurion too, and am enjoying every bit of it. From what I have seen so far, there seems to be a large club membership in Queensland, so your in good company up there. Again Welcome & Happy motoring Cheers Tom

  22. Hi Guys. I cant seem to find a sketch or photo of the Aurion floor mat clip setup. Does anyone have one please? Our Toyota dealer sold me a packet with two clips but nothing else. On inspecting the old one it looks like it should have collars under and over the carpet that the clips are fitted through. Does the carpet have to removed to fit them? Cheers Tom
