Yea down side is THERE BRAND NEW >_< paid just over 1k for them, and they are the correct tyre size for the car against the original ( so not to throw the odemeter out as last set did )
-
Im keen for what offers me the best results... yes i know that string is the answer but yea have no idea where to begin haha Price isnt an issue as i can save up my pennys to get it sorted.
I love the idea of a lowerd car but hate the problems with being lowered.... what do i look at going for those reasons (trying to avoid airbag suspension as that REALLY cost some dosh)
-
Before you start yes ive read posts but mines a unique question...
What would you "Coilover Club" lads and other suspension modifiers suggest for my ATX (stock suspension atm)
I have issue's with 3+ people (adults) in the car, the tyres rub on the inside of the wheel arch on the carpet lining when i go over hard bumps and also turn corners (loud scraping noise that makes me cringe :( ).
Tyre & Wheel size atm is;
- 18x8 B.BOSS Wheels
- Falkener 245/45ZR18 100W Tyres
- Do i need to camber the wheels ? ( hope i don't have too... )
- Do i go coilovers or just get harder shocks/springs in general?
- Dad suggested air shocks to adjust the pressure, whats the go there ?
I don't know where to begin and don't want to goto pedders as me being clueless at this stage, they will just rip me off....

This thread went off topic since i last read it hahaha, love the essay adamsy haha <3
Need people like you for president of australia
-
Now you mention that im concerned!
Any note as to if the Aurions where "Race Car" or just used by nana/grandad ?
What year / Model etc ?
-
Looks sweet....
Im in need to change my setup atm, after getting the now CORRECT tyres to suit my rims/car specs i now with 3 people or more, scrape going round corners and solid bumps in the road ( 09 ATX standard suspension )
Need to go harder at same high and possibly cambed adjustments as its hitting the carpeted inner arch :(
Looks sweet tho nice work !

I like the look of this one - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400216306557
Considering buying it - i'll see how my budget looks over next few days :)
-
too slow only a four cylinderOr just buy the new Atara or Sportivo lol.
New Atara hits the tonne in around 8.5seconds now with Aurion around 6.7-6.8
Still too slow haha ^_^
I doo like the idea of paddle shifts tho good for drag racing other cars on the highway haha :D
Just wish i was decent at doing some of the LED mods as i would have the entire car done by now :(
-
DJKOR, i use the FAQ frequently but have considered asking if either me or even you could update with with a few more things regards to speakers / Fuel or anything thats missing that is commonly asked!
FAQ is the best thing going in the Aurion Forum just needs to be updated me thinks, Your thoughts ?

Hold off for now ill report more info when George gets back to me he said he needs to contact the Engineer of the headunit :)
-
Yes it does display name and number.
When you sync contacts it actually puts your contact list in the headuint aswell as recent/missed call list.
-
Yea im super happy with the ATX just the finishing touch to the TRD is superb....
Whats the chances of a new release ever coming about for TRD aurion as i know in the states its still quite a big thing....!
-
Makes me want to sell my 09 ATX and get one >_<
So jelous :(
love the seats tho :D
+ love the idea moving away from the apprentices thay can do a good job SOMETIMES....but im unsure on what oil to use :P
-
No worries, George is assiting me greatly with my issues atm.
For those that want to gain extra access to hidden settings this is how to do it.
- Goto Blutooth
- Dial - #0*1*2*3#
- Hit the Red End Call button
- The Hidden menu should come up ( allows you to change the startup logo to others Holden Subaru etc for ****s n giggles) and a few other fan settings and software input/outputs!
- Goto Blutooth

Bought one 2 weeks ago and is now fitted...
Answers to your questions.
- During the day it is good if on full brightness, could be angled towards the floor in its design to provide a better picture. (night time is 100% fine :D )
- It dims it perfectly! About the same as your dash display set to the brightest setting when it is dimmed ( not to the locked illimation setting )
- I found it functional-ish...
- iPod's shuffling dosen't work as well as i had hoped, it selects the next song in the list before it shuffles to a new one ( sounds like its skipping but is tempermental issue )
- Brightness setting when adjusted (for me to 5 ) dosen't stay set ( wanted mine brighter but every time you turn it off and back on even when car is running it resets to default of 3 )
- Background transperancy dosen't stay set as i wanted it ( more transparent ) same issue as the brightness, it keeps resetting, but i have just before, contacted George (easydeals) and requested assistance.
- Had issue's attaching my old JVC AMP, not sure if its the AMP or headunit ( my money is on headunit outputs )
- Touchscreen is good but the button layout to touch isn't very well thought out but is functional enough. - - Fits the dash good, little tight but that may be just my car ( stipped it back one to many times :P ) / no gaps
- Looks really good !
Personal opinion, if your scarce for money get this unit as it is sufficent for every day use, but if you can afford to I would recomend going for a propper headunit like Pioneer / JVC / Alpine etc with a facia to suit (ebay)
If your in perth, let me know as i can show you.

Switch is dead ?
Goto wreckers obtain the matching panel for your model and try it out, might work or find someone to borrow from as a test :)
-
Pretty much what VF-X Said :) all the main components are the same ( chassis engine etc )

As per DJKOR's FAQ thread, i thought i would create the torrent containing the service manuals for the Aurion (AKA Toyota Camry 07-09 Models) for members to download.
You can obtain them indavidualy from the FAQ thread link here - https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B-a6Tk-Li8MWNzQxYTZhZDgtMDc0MS00NDM1LWI0NGUtMDY4ZmRiODRmZDgw&hl=en_GB
Or
Download the .ZIP containing the torrent to all of the manuals from here - Camry_Aurion_Manuals.zip.zip
You need a Bit torrent client to download the manuals, try UTorrent
I will leave it seeding as much as i can over the coming weeks/months :)
-
I haven't attempted the RSB yet, but earlyer posts suggeest easy installation after jacking and placing the car on stands.
Go to page 1 and read on from there its a good insight into what you need to do :)
Also refer to the image at the top of this page, thanks to DJKOR.

Average is 20,000 you say O_o
I did 41,000 last year <---- Fail :(
-
Lol, thats why i upgraded my usage had the same issue...
Now on 100GB off peak and 100GB on peak :D ( peak i use completely by the end of the month! )

Hahaha, sounds like toyota up to old tricks trying to skim more money from the customer...
I had same thing when they skimmed my rotors ( all 4 )
They told me it was around $80.... When i got the car back they told me it was $230, I said that bloke there told me it was only $80, in the end thats all i paid haha

Lowering would improve it slightly as the centre of gravity is closer to the ground, but if you don't like lowering you have a couple other options avaliable to you...
- New, wider tyres with better grip.
- Strut and sway bars - http://www.ultraraci...p2_articleid=28 ( i did this and it was a very good improvement )
But do check your tread on the tyres up front and make sure there on legal standards
- New, wider tyres with better grip.
Soft back end...( HALP! )

*drools at the idea of airbags* biggest issue there is cost haha
Not hitting the arch itself, just the inner carpet right on the edge of the arch ( bout 10mm off the body panel )
And scrape less after lowing it, how the hell does that work haha ?
