  1. Ok, read this entire thread 3-4 times over last couple months still gets me as to where in line and how to connect the Resitor >_<

Really need one of those entire walkthrough picture posts showing you every step xD

Sorry for being such a noob when it comes to thistho, as i know you all must get sick and tired of repeating yourselves.... i will attempt this mod in the near future if it ever gets clarified :) ( scared of destroying the headuint :\ )

  2. Im pretty sure aswell the touring doesn't have a centre brake light if not you will either

    a) replace the rear shelf with a ATX version (contains the moulded brake light.

    B) LED Stip in Red stuck to window.

Removing spoiler imo is bad idea :\ really should have just bout the ATX model...

  3. YES REALY !!!

    Hahaha...

And your welcome for the info mate, don't take the mocking to heart the people on this forum sometimes loose there manners BUT when they can be botherd, have some really great and usefull info to share....

And we all obey DJKOR as he is our Aurion God :yahoo:

  4. It is possible but a REAL pain in the A.s.s....

And for someone like me having hidden most of the wires and connections lower down and behind shiz its easier to remove the bumper and do it took me 1 hour to remove bumber replace low beams from 6000K to a 4300K kit and install the 6000K High beams+ballasts.

But each to their own :)

(most recent photo of that attempt haha)

  5. Love the facepalm lol

I have had good experience with Century Heavy Duty batteries in the past, good price & excellent warranty replacement when i got it from battery world here in Perth.

I had one that after 12 months of the 2 year warranty a cell had died and when they tested it with there little electronic tester found it to be elligable for replacement.

They changed it on the spot :D

and should be in your price range :)

When i searched their website it came up with these 2 - http://www.centurybatteries.com.au/search/index.php/models/ID-1888

  6. 55 W 4300 K Low beams is the way to go as i have the 35 W 6000 K lows and there shocking on wet roads and on medium to high lit roads very little light reflects off the ground....

High beams don't stress on blinding people as u dim them for approaching cars, does take time to heat up and also shortens life with constant on/off situation... 55 W should suffice for high's as they do throw differently!

  7. So default the car is 4 Km/h out (do 100 on speedo and you really are only doing 96 )

But since i have added new Rims/Tires the speedo is now 6 Km/h out and its just sheetz me no end.... (110 Km/H on speedo now is 103 Km/h)

Can the speedo be re-calibrated ?

Ive asked the dealership and they so "no" in an arrogant tone, probably because i tell them what then F needs to happen when they fix my car (forever getting the same warranty repairs done >_> )

    Car is 2009 Aurion ATX.

    Thanks, Steele.

  8. You can find sunshades (widescreen ones) from super cheap auto lol there cheap but do the job. Replace when it needs it :)

My car sits in the weather all day every day in Western Australia, We have some really bad heat over here but again regular cleaning, Polishing/waxing and alll round maintenance will prevent damage to anything ! (if your like me i got to worry about washing the car away :P)

  9. Just out of curiosity, what engine oil are you using?

Unsure of brand, but what ever the Dealership gets in i suppose, we don't request anything different as we have never had a problem with any vehicles being serviced there. We have the family cars serviced there and they are 2000 Camry, 2004 Corolla, 2005 Camry, 2009 Aurion

  10. Oooo these look allright :D

I wouldn't mind seeing a picture or small vid showing them installed and working, as im not to sure how it would look at first glance with already having the 4 taillight LED circles and also the spoiler light :\

but without that i may buy some in the future :P

  11. all i can think it would be related to is the temperature because i had my old Camry do the same thing but once warm it was fine.

My aurion does something different when cold and u go from R to D it THUMPS into gear from what i can tell its due to the higher idle (Auto Choke) warming the car up.

All i can suggest is just before u brush your teeth go out and start the car so it warms up, then go brush teeth then get in car and hoon away  (NOTE: Don't do this if you live in dodgy area or you might not have a car on your return :P )

So yea just book her in and see what they say...

  12. Dont forget to...

    • Rotate all wheels every service (10 - 15,000KM on avg)
    • Keep tire pressures correct (speak to tire shop for assistance on correct pressures)
    • Wheel Alignments are needed with new tires as it can prevent premature wear (saving you $$ and future issues)
    • Don't let the wear get to severe before changing for new tires, especialy this time of year when roads are slippery!

Glad to hear a balance/alignment was all you needed :D better then something major being wrong!

    METAL13

  13. 13.5 volts from what i generally know is the normal output for an alternator as the battery is 12v and can take a little more input !

I don't think it is controlled by ECU.The alternator generates electricity from the drive belt spinning the alternator (engine needs to be running for drive belt to move)

But to be 100% sure just wait for a more technical person to reply

  14. Check the battery voltage. How old is the battery?

Battery is brand new from Toyota parts.

The car turns over but it will turn over for 3-5 seconds and fail to fire, then it will turn over for 3-5 seconds and then fire on second attempt. Its like the car isn't sparking or isn't getting fuel into it :\

Hi mate when you start the engine does it run for few second? then dead or you just cant start up ? if you are in the first one you will clena your intake end( control valve clean) with some cleaner you can buy from supercheap ! here it is the link for the youtube

it maybe help you out !

No i just keeps turning over no fire.

    Stop

turn key again turns over few seconds and then Fires and remains running. ill try get a short vid of it doing it over the next day or so.

  16. 2005 Toyota Camry Altise Limited.

When we start the car either hot or cold, 99% of the time it takes 2-3 attempts for the car to actually fire.

We have replaced the spark plugs (all 4), I've checked the air lines, Filters and all obvious connections.

The local Dealership serviced it not long ago with the issue stated to them and they couldn't figure it out....

Has anyone had the same issue if so whats a fix or better yet any ideas on where to start looking haha?

(car hasn't been thrashed, mum drives it so it gets slow short runs daily and occasionally the long run every week)

    Thanks, Steele.
