Welcome Paul, A few of us have found solace in the easydeals units on ebay. They have a few flaws, as do all of them i think you will find. But over all it's a very nice unit :)
Now that ive seen those links to the facias it's got me thinking about a custom iPad install!
Saying that, what are those flaws ? ( Spoke to easydeals 2 days ago, be 2 weeks before they get more in so i can palce order/buy one )
-
For me its normal others like yourself pertray it as not normal.
I really dosen't worry me, anyone else have opinion to pass ?
-
Good choice. Pictures or it didnt happen :P ( keen to see what it looks like :) )
-
Looks good, keen to see how it goes, personaly ide just buy the kit off ebay as I'm kinda slack haha :P
-
i would say its his centre console he is talking about where the gear selector is located.
Most likely the globes that illuminate the center console is what is causing that to become hot ( if where talking about the same location )

like said above under the seats its out of sight out of mind and stays undamaged.
Next best is in the boot but needs to be mounted to look need and stay undamaged.

pretty cool seeing the car that we drive every day is in that movie haha. Dislike the fact that the car got destroyed in the scene....
Almost shed a tear, then remembered i have one safe in the driveway haha!

Welcome aboard - Any major things you can't find on these forums ( after a search ) our resident Aurion Super Brainiack "DJKOR" will be able to answer as he is like Aurion God Royalty to most members haha!
As for your head unit, serch the forums (Aurion/TRD Aurion) area for Head Unit and some sound system posts, there is a few out there.
There is much debate as how well that ebay head unit goes as some prefer it over a top of the line Pioneer etc.

Agreed, are they expensive too? it's just for look tho isn't it?
I remeber hearing on top gear that spoilers on FWD cars slows them down, I'm not very mechanicaly technical tho, it was on the episode they pimped a FWD to beat a EVO record, ended up putting NOS in it. I think 3 seasons ago.
Its cheaper then the rear spoiler trust me on that one had to spend $1200 + for the gen one so rather annoyed about that but yea ducktail is cheaper and wont effect the aerodynamics of the car, its more a cosmetic look :)
-
Yea - what i linked is exactly that for the Aurion tho, The aurion one looks subtle and neat tho :)
-
The log book DOES state around the 100k mark (there abouts, can't remember exactly) to replace trans oil if under heavy operating conditions - which to me reads "you should bloody well replace it anyway"
I guess that also means my hoon driving - Flat stick haha
-
I would do it every 100,000 Km to be on safe side, but do a complete flush and replacement...
Any one else had to do this yet ? as im also curious as to when it would be a service book date/time
-
Thank you! Noted :)
I'm thinking of purchasing the spoiler, I would actualy like a small spolier like the HSV Grange, but would cost $$$ to make it and i'm not made of $
Adelaide drivers like to tail the sh!t out of people! hopeless drivers got a mini gun conversion for the back that connects to the brake light :P heheh
Like a duck tail ?
See thread -

I use mine as a spare coin holder!
Saves the shratnel in my wallet haha

I'm thinking of getting one aswell but doo love the quiet sleeper sounds of the aurion as standard.
Has anyone done a video of the idle and different rev ranges of No load & load on engine? as it may sell it to me more to wana get one :)
-
thanks all....paid the deposit today for Aurion, cant wait till the weekend to take her out for a spin.....
 Congratulations on your purchase !
-
Thanks guys I'll do it my self and buy something nice witht e $250 i saved :)
THANKS HEAPS!!!!!!!!!
The bad news is I just called Toyota and it's still going to be another month for the part! it's already been 1 months, that's kind of ridiculous,
Get in there and speak to the manger and say its not on....
Had similar issue when i bought gen spoiler took the 2 months to get me the right one and still then i was missing parts >_>
Grill them with some stern words :P
-
Good stuff, let us know when you get that done and what the result is

The old camry 2az motor takes more fuel than the aurion. 12 l per 100km for the camry vs 11 l per 100 km for the aurion. This is mixed real life cycle. I've leased both cars from new.
No droning sound in the aurion like in the camry, better torque in the aurion, curtain airbags, 6 spd,
I could go on and on.
i allready own an aurion, but you sold me again anyways haha
-
Aurion. Enough said.
2nd that
Aurion fuel comsumption is very close to the camry
Bigger better engine
simple luxarys come included
like driving a limo compard to some cars :P

Speaking of Aurion headlights, does anyone else find their factory high beam is not that great, it doesn't seem to brighten the road ahead of me at all. if this is common Is there a mod or any info on how to make them better
They are the best set of high beams i have used in over 30 different vehicles O_o
3 options to improve
- Get your headlights adjusted ( toyota dealer can set them with their gear )
- Replace bulbs with new Halogen bulbs
- HID Kit <- Love this option as 55W HID Kit in my 09 ATX is just the best lighting ive ever used (once warmed up after 3 or so mins)
- Get your headlights adjusted ( toyota dealer can set them with their gear )
-
Any time mate, allways welcome back to the forum for assistance :D
-
We need someone to do a TOCAU Store, buying in bulk products and selling at a resinble price to aussies :)
HID Kits
Body Kits
LED Lighting
Fog lights etc etc :)
I would do it but money and space is an issue for me atm :(
Does anyone feel the gearbox of Aurion is hot when driving?

ide say because its black, as black absorbs more heat.
Im in WA and the summers here aint exactly "just warm" a 40 degree day here puts the temp in the car well over 65-70 Degree's with tint and sunshades etc.
The heat from centre console is just...well heat....You cant change it as inside the center cosole is nothing so yea just gonna have to deal with it im affraid unless you uncover another alternative heat source ?
