  1. If you had a few people interested and it was not on a Saturday (so, night time during the week or on a Sunday) I could probably organise to bring our demo along for a cruise, that is if a customer doesn't have it. Cheers, SCUD
  2. Sorry, I was looking at the pre-facelift, and the reason none came up would most likely be because there is none left! Hah! What state are you located in glenshkolar?
  3. From what I can gather, the black/beige combination is not available on the facelift Kluger.
  4. No difference whatsoever. Face lift Aurion came out in late 08/early 09 from memory.
  5. Whilst I'm happy to help with that, by no means do I wish to list the pricing of all Kluger models. If you do want to know the RRP price of the Kluger, send me a message and I shall let you know. Cheers SCUD
  6. There has been price changes. In some models, the price has decreased. In others it has increased.
  7. My stock controller has indicated that the earliest date we are receiving new Kluger's in Melbourne is the 13th October. Of course, Toyota's eta dates are not always 100% correct. No news on the pricing front as yet.
  8. Here's hoping it's a case of under promising and over delivering Phil!
  9. Just be on the front foot, if the salesman is busy get onto the sales manager. Don't let it pass by! :)
  10. Fair call. I wouldn't be trusting a gentlemans agreement when it comes to the car trade. You should really get everything in writing.. even from my side of the fence it works the same way. The back of the contract stipulates that the price may be increased if decided so by the manufacturer/distributor of the vehicle publishes a price change. Basically, the contract stipulates that the dealership can notify you of the price change and you have 3 days to choose whether to opt out or not. If the 3 days pass, you're stuck with it.
  11. They are probably trying to protect themselves. You should know tomorrow whether there will be a price increase.. Did you stipulate a get out clause if they try and increase the price on the contract?
  12. I'd be surprised if the Kluger has much of a price rise. If you read the bulletin regarding the new Hilux that was released on the press room website yesterday you'd notice they mentioned Hiluxes revisions are not going to attract a price increase. As you'd mostly be aware, Toyota's cars are generally dearer than their competitions vehicles. It wouldn't be too wise to keep increasing these prices if we are already border line not being competitive enough etc. I could lock in a price, sure, but as you mentioned the contract you signed states clearly that if the price goes up the dealer is permitted to increase the price - unless of course you expressly had it noted in the additional conditions that "Regardless of any Toyota price increase, contract price agreed upon will not increase with facelift model." etc
  13. Sorry, my post must have sounded like I wasn't certain. It is most definitely being released 8th october. Cheers
  14. That matches what I've been told. I'm hoping to have my vehicle by this time next week. *crosses fingers* Hi Guys has anyone got a confirmed price yet.. Has the pricing chnaged? At the moment i cant get a straight answer from anywhere? Thanks No official pricing released, more than likely will be released tomorrow. If you're located in Victoria, drop me a message I can work out a price for you :)
  15. I was informed the official wholesale/release date for the facelift Kluger is October 8. This is in Victoria, so I'm not 100% sure if this varies from state to state if you're from outside Victoria. History tells me that if October 8 (Friday) is the release date it's only a 50% chance that your car will even arrive at the dealership Friday. I would expect Monday, then it needs to be prepared for delivery to you etc. I've got my eye on an AWD Kluger 7 Seat KX-R to be released tomorrow, and boy would I love to be in it by the weekend but I just don't think it's going to happen! Cheers, Scud
  16. You guys would find at just as much if not more information on projects like that than a Toyota salesman would. I usually get most of my information off the web simply because I want it, not because anyone at Toyota tells me. I also get most info from autoblog.com - pretty source that! However, if I do get the opportunity I certainly try and get into the ear of Toyota execs who are in the know about these things. I knew the FJ cruiser was headed here a while before the public did for instance!
  17. Web tracking only works if the dealer has switched it on in the Toyota System (SAP) though, so if it doesn't work you would need to speak to them. It's accessed with the sales ID number (COSI #) and the batch number Toyota allocated to the vehicle.
  18. Thanks for the welcomes folks! Andrew357 - hey, if only it was so simple I'm sure I'd win a bit of business out of it :D unique - I can't really speak for all salesmen. I guess when I was younger (21, 22) I used to not really thrash it, but probably did a small amount of silly things. But I think like anyone, you grow up. Thrashing a car that wasn't yours would probably be amusing only for a small amount of time. These days I prefer to look after my company cars, given they are a massive benefit to my life etc!
  19. Love some of those cars but not all. The black on black one is crazy!!
  20. Afternoon all! Thought I'd finally sign up here after reading these forums when I'm looking for information that I can't quite put my finger on. My name is Nick, and I'm from Melbourne. I work for a Toyota dealership in the New Car Sales Department and have been involved with the dealerships for nearly 4.5 years now after spending a year at another Toyota dealership prior to that. I have a fairly extensive knowledge of cars and am hoping to be of some assistance to folks on this forum if I can be.. and if I can't help, I'll sure have a good crack at finding the information you seek if I don't have the answers. I haven't actually owned a Toyota in the past, however these days if I was in a position to need to buy a car it would have to be a choice between a Levin SX Manual, Kluger KX-S, Rukus Build 3 or a Prado TD depending on what my budget allowed for! I get given demonstrators to drive and generally find myself in a new car every 3-4 months. Most recently I've had a 4x2 Rav4 Cruiser Auto in Graphite, a 6 speed Levin SX in Tidal Blue, the same in wildfire and before that a Rav CV Manual. Hopefully next is the facelifted Kluger KX-R, although we'll wait until they come out next week before I put the hard word on my boss! Hah! I have a bit of an automotive background also. I used to be heavily involved in a Melbourne car club called VicStreetScene, though my days of being involved in car clubs are long gone after a few hiccups with the boys in blue and my hoonish nature in other cars I owned (78 injected Commodore, 96 V8 Fairmont Ghia, etc.) Gotta grow up some time! Anyway, I'm here to learn information about cars that maybe I didn't know, and offer any help I can to those who need it. Not to mention, I can always help if you're interested in advice about a purchase of a new Toyota. Cheers! Nick
