  1. Wheel alignment, she was out bigtime, damn potholes!!!
  2. Mine is just an 07 YR. In the YR and YRS the fogs on the front came as an option where as the YRX was std. Not sure bout the rears, but assuming that toyota deleted the rear fog after the 09 update.
  3. Mine has 1 also, only because the later ones deleted the rear fog light I would guess. Mine has a rear foglight where the other reverse light would go, check your friends yaris, if it has a fog switch on the stalk then it to has rear foglight.
  4. Hey guys, Does anyone know if the Yaris came with Folding wing mirrors on other export or JDM models? Comes in handy when inconsiderate people pass your car and knock to mirror and don't put it back. And you don't know until your halfway home or you look. Especially the passenger side.
  5. What got us to sign the paperwork was that the car was a double order, as in the car was ordered twice for the same customer, so they gave us 5k off the RRP, we had it paid off within the year. It hasn't faulted once and looks set to stay in the family for years to come(wife plans on handing the car down to the daughter when she's old enough, 9 yrs to go!! lol)
  6. Gave the Bug a detail today, started out with just a basic wash, ended all out lol. Took some pics, minus the bub seat and seat covers(covers I hate, but this is what the missus drives) Also she tends to use the car as her personal rubish dump, with the kids making it worse lol Stock as a Rock Interior The little engine that could. Not much else getting done, just saving for a set of King springs to bring it closer to terra firma.

  9. Our Yaris does 99% city/urban start/stop driving and gets roughly 450-500km to a tank. Last fill was calculated at 7.8L/100km from an asthmatic 1.3 and 4speed slushbox.
  10. Seems I can also add a Body Enhancement Kit to the list of things to do. Priced a kit up, with rear lip spoiler, $1015, painted ready for fitment. Also priced some King Lows, $210 for full set. Both prices are pretty good I think. Now, it's saving time!!
  11. Coilovers are planned for my other car. Thinking of getting King Lows, just need to find out the drop in height it gives. I'm after visual looks rather than all out handling.
  12. Missus is very happy with the new found grip and steering the rims have given the Bug. She commented that she doesn't turn need to turn the wheel as much now for the same turn and is more sensitive than the old wheels. So, over time, future plans are; Drop in ride height Rear lip spoiler Simple yet much improved audio upgrade Don't want to go overboard as it's still the family city runabout. :)
  13. Put 16x7 Enkei SC24 on the Yaris today. Very happy with the look.
  14. She has already mentioned dropping it a bit! :D Just gotta wait for her say so. First thing she said when she saw it was, "there's something missing, maybe needs to be lower" I kept my cool and said "yeah, just a bit, as it's still the rounabout taxi" Hopefully another win for me.
  15. New rims are on, and what a difference it's made to it's plain stock appearance. So, Enkei SC24 16x7 +40 offset Shod with; Maxxis MA-V1 205/45/ZR16 with 87 Loadrating Pics; Before; After; Maybe later down the track I might convince the missus to drop it 1 1/2" on the front and 2 on the rear, to even the gap abit between the arches.
  16. Well, the Bug, as I call the Yaris, goes in tomorrow for it's new shoes. It was the wife who mentioned that, if we're getting new tyres, may as well get mags for it! For $1390 fitted, balanced, aligned and locknuts, it was an offer to good to refuse! As for my other car, it too will be due new tyres also, however I'm thinking of getting new rims also, change my existing set and may even downsize to 18" from 19" These are the one's I've been eyeing off; Enkei GTC01's
  17. Cheers mate, would you by chance happen to know what those trim pieces cost? Might buy a spare set as replacements if we sel up. Had a look at some Polk splits for the fronts and they sounded very nice. Might save and get a set along with a 4ch amp. The wife has also been eyeing off my HU in my other car lol Seems she is tireing of the stock audio.
  18. Filled her up today and decided to check what economy she was getting. The car does 95% city/urban driving with the odd country run, once every 6 mths or so lol From last I filled till now, it took 30ltrs and covered 381.4km so the average recorded is 7.8L/100km or 12.7km per litre used. Not to bad for a weezy 1.3 and 4sp slushy. This is the site I use for my calcs.
  19. 16x7 with 205 Maxxis or Conti tyres, depending on the what price the shop can do the Conti's for. And the car is Metallic Silver, unsure of the correct name.
  20. Bought in 07 straight off the showroom floor with 5km on the clock. Since then it now has 29800km Has been rear ended twice, with both times just needing the rear bar replaced. ATM it is bog stock standard, however that will soon change. I have been very happy with this car, even though the wife is the main driver as I bought it for her, it has served us well. As the car is in need of new tyres, the wife has decided that we may as well get rims, so to that end, these are whats going on the car next week; Enkei SC24 Got them for an awesome price in a package deal. Down the track will be a new HU and speakers, just to give it some more sound appeal inside the cabin. I'll post pics once the new rims are on, but for now, we all know what a stock Yaris looks like lol
  21. Thanks for that. 5.25" thats gonna be hard to come by. Also, does the Yaris have places and trim for stock tweeter locations? I'm gonna get splits for the front but don't want to cut trim pieces if I can help it.
  22. I've had my Yaris since new from 07, till now I have only just cracked the 30k mark, I have serviced the car every 6 mths with intermediate servicing till the "scheduled" ones are needed.
  23. Hi all, Been looking into upgrading the std speakers and would like to know the sizes front and rear? Down the track I'm looking at doing a stealth slim woofer install in the boot and a HU upgrade. But for now new speakers will be fine. I have left over sound deadening from my previous install in my other car. Cheers
  24. With a break in the weather, decided now was a good time to give the Yaris an outside detail. Once washed, moved it back undercover in the garage incase the weather turned, it did, claybarred, it's first, then finished with a wax and polish While on a roll I decided to do the interior. 5 hrs later all finished. Didn't think such a little car could take so long to do!!
  25. Spotted this Camry at Castletown shops in Townsville last year.
