  1. Cheers, unfortunately, they only came in 5sp Auto, does the job.
  2. The Homelink was the easiest one to do, The Yanks got it in there Diamante(Verada) as an option, it is plug and play. The map lights double as interior lights and the buttons allow up to 3 remotes to be programmed. So one is used for opening and closing the garage, saves carrying the remote around. As for the mirrors, Std on the JDM model, same, not quite plug and play, uses a Pajero mirror switch that fits where the std one does and a control box. Easy to wire up. As for the auto wipers/lights, that was the hardest part. Tracking all the wires, splicing and such, but well worth it. And the auto up windows, great for when my kids dont wind theirs up, lock the car and up they go.
  3. It's level all round, the front looks higher due to the size of the front wheel arch. My wife personally likes the fold in mirrors and the homelink, she wants me to rig up something similar for the Yaris on the homelink side. The Verada has gone Townsville - Perth and back with full load of kids, wife, luggage and didn't miss a beat. The only thing I did was replace the worn out strut tops and put HD Springs in the rear for the extra weight in the boot.
  4. Update, Installed a Reverse Tilt module, so when I select reverse, the passenger mirror powers down and out towards the rear wheel so as to know where the kerb is, then powers back to original position when out of reverse. Also got a flash tune done on the ECU, it has gained an additional 20 - 25KW at the motor, so it's now around the 180KW mark and an increase in torque, around an extra 50nm or so. It now runs on 98, as our cars don't have knock sensors, and economy has improved. Around town, stop start sits around mid 10's and highway has seen low 8 high 7's. Theoretically, I should now be able to get around 850/900km to a tank Offline acceleration has improved as well as mid range punch, something the AWD's lack due to weight. Overtaking is now a breeze with the extra torque also. Should get better with a new set of headers and new cat going in after the new year. Once there in, it's onto the rollers for a more precise tune and final power reading.
  5. Missus loves the new roof DVD player, and so do the kids, very quiet in the car now, wife and I can now hold a conversation without interruption from the little ones. They have learnt very quickly that they have to ask to use it. It was my first roof mounted install and I won't be doing it again in a hurry haha, preparation and measuring is what took most of the time, as they say, measure twice cut once. Once we have this new house sorted and the move finished, might look into lowering the car next.
  6. I used a reverse camera built into the reverse light on the yaris, but yes it all works well.
  7. I installed mine myself, and yeah, 1 DVD at a time. Doesn't bother me as I use the IPod and USB for my music, saves having to change CD's on the run, less time your eyes are off the road. And I have a roof mounted DVD system for my Kids. I only put a DVD in the HU if I want to control what my kids watch. I also find the multiCD ones, when the go wrong are a pain to get your CD's out, most of the time it involves pulling the HU apart. Hense why I prefer USB or IPod to hold and play music from. If the HU breaks, I still have my music.
  8. I got the one for the Yaris, so far I have had no problems with mine. It is essentially the same radio with a different facia to suit. It comes with everything for plug and play. The GPS comes in an SD Card already in the unit, you can listen to the radio while the Nav screen is showing and the voice comes through the speakers. And comes with Pre outs so amps can be used also.
  9. Better than the pissy little one Toyota offer with the Body kit. As I'm doing a big move next year, these might be the last mods to the car for awhile.
  10. Not bad for $270, and self install.
  11. The half of the interior I took out; So I could instsall this; Keeps the kids happy in the back.
  12. Yeah, the 1.3 needs all the help it can get!! lol
  13. Half of the interior is sitting on the garage floor right now :D
  14. Got the new HU and reversing camera installed yesterday, not a bad HU for OEM. Built in BT, DVD, GPS, IPod, SD, Amp pre outs. Not complaining. Still have the JVC roof mounted DVD player and wing to go. Not the best pics;
  15. Got a bit of work to do to the car next week, Getting the new wing painted and fitted, New HU, Roof mounted DVD system for the kiddies, Reversing camera, so the missus won't be scared now to reverse park. Use the last of my sound deadening on the front doors, And, some nice splits for the front.(Nothing to drastic, don't want to send the kids deaf!! lol Hoping to have most if not all fitted by the end of next week.
  16. Got some more stuff coming. Intergrated number plate light/camera and an OEM DVD/CD/GPS headunit. Should have it by end of next week or start of the next.

  19. I think I might go for the Dobinsons set up of springs if what your all saying about TEIN being harsh. I have kids so need a reasonably good ride.
  20. All in good time Tossing up either Dobinsons springs or TEIN Street Coilovers
  21. Wing arrived the other day, has been booked in to get sprayed next month when I get back from overseas. Missus is eager to get it fitted, haha She wants to see how it looks before getting the YRX kit.
  22. Well, bit of an update, Car got a Major Service today, and ordered a rear wing for a Yaris RS $136 incl post from the US. I do believe they are not available from Toyota Aus as we never got the RS model. And next fortnight I will be ordering the Body Enhancement Kit.
