Hi guys,
i want to get my 7" Monitor custom fitted in my dash because i dont like when it has a black trim around it or w/e. I asked Auto Acoustics in Artarmon how much it would cost me to get everything fitted and painted..i got quotet 500$.
Now, i was wondering if anyone knows a place that has good pricing so i can compare or even find a place that does it cheaper.
Thanks and Merry Christmas :)
I smell a ripoff. That is a quite afternoon job for me. I'm sure some cash, some beer and pizza and we can work something out

Just trying to get as much info as posible on how to do this. I have found three screws holding it on. Two behind the door handle and one behind the door latch. Now i have tried to pull the door panel off after removing these screw but it does not seem to be coming off. How much force do i need to get this off or do i need a panel removal to help. Any help or photos would be great. Also advise on what type of speaker fits in the door would be great also.
Hey Man,
there is a fair amount of force required on the 1st time you take it off (i know from my car install days). Also note, you should disconnect the 2 cables running the door lever or, alternative, unhitch the door handle and leave it hanging :)
PS: Corolla ICE upgrade << Check this for ideas:)

Hi guys,
one thing that always annoyed me about my 2007 corolla is the dashboard. The dealership i bought it from must have applied some stuff to make it shine...but i hate it. It kinda blocks your view and its all greasy.
I tried wiping it with Pine-o-clean which made some grease go away. But the shine is still there. Anyone got tips on how to get rid of this?
Thanks.
Bring it round to the phat man (me), he can fix it...............just like bob the builder ;)

Hey guys,
Im finally starting to mod my car,
Im on a really low budget though,
I want to get a beefier sound from the exhaust as all I can hear when I rev at the moment is the engine.
I cant go spending heaps of money, so I was thinking of just getting a cannon from supercheap for $100 and getting it welded for $40.
Should I or shouldnt I? Just worried about the quality and sound levels that it will produce.
Is there something better that I can get for not much more?
CES CAI FTW. Just ask the brissy guys, they have heard it :)

Two mothers products that I tested at the mothers detailing day in Sydney
Mothers Foaming All Wheel and Tyre Cleaner
Mothers Naturally Black - from faded to awesome
Mothers Tyre Shine - use an applicator pad to apply the product, rather that spraying directly on the Tyre.
Just 3 awesome products by Mothers.
Also, Andrew357, the Mothers Sealer / Glaze is an awesome product and works really well on dark coloured cars. If you want to add a good wax to it, try Reflections Top Coat (red cylinder bottle). If you have a light coloured car, use Mothers Syn Wax (which dries clear :) )
All 3 products don't need to be worked hard to get a awesome finish

Pete, in the third pic it shows the pod up high near the bottom of the battery holder. Is this correct or does another length of pipe extend down into the front of the well?
the pipe extends down to a little and the Pod filter sits behind the foggy.
I'll try and get a better pic when its not raining :)

OK, I think I might request the a topic name change to "Big Pete's YouTube Creations" :)

FYI, Since I haven't got a error code in the ~1,600km I had the CAI installed, I'm thinking full zorst system when i'm there next year
-
For those of you that dont have me on facespace and stalkbook you'll be happy to know that I have been to visit Trev and Boys at CES racing and now have a fully working, non-error code spitting CAI.
Now for those interested, I need to make one thing known to all. The CAI I have will only work with '09 & '10 Builds of the ZRE-152.
Reason: The MAF sensor is different on these models compared to the previous builds.
This was also a full custom job. It doesn't look like much, but the work is top notch and worth every cent. There is one major advantage to the CES CAI compared to others. Easy to fit! No bumper bars were harmed during this installed :)
Just behind the passenger foggy, there is a plastic panel. This is removed and easy access is granted to the filter for cleaning.
Some pics of the install can be found below :)
If there is a big demand from the forum for these, we can get a jig made up and the price might come a bit.
PM for price details :)

Corolla 2007 on door trim removal

Hey Man,
Drill the pop riverts and make a custoemr speaker mount out of 8mm MDF. To nail it in place, I used some long bolt and nut combos from bunnings (about 5-6 cm long)
You can fit 6.5" speakers all round
Hope this helps ;)
