Hi John,
Welcome to TOCAU.
I would suggest posting this in the "4x4 / Commercial section" of the forum.
Have a great time :)

Hey Guys and Girls
Just letting you know that we have found some accommodation in windsor which should be nice
Brisbane International Clicky ... We are looking at the Twin Hotel Room Option on Wotif, which is $140 per night (max 2 adults)
If that is out of your budget, there is a Formule 1 just down the road, about 100 metres.
We are getting our booking in now in-case it goes pear shaped and the long weekend bites us in the ar$e. I would suggest interested parties get booking in early so there is no disappointment.
Once you made a booking, I suggest you post it up so Dazza can update the roll call for the out of towners
-
We are open to suggestions.
Remember people budgets. We are not looking for flash. A roof, bed, bog and shower is pretty much all we need.
As mentioned before, JVN11L and I will have a look around on the weekend and have a suggestion list up by Monday 04/04.

Hey Guys and Gals,
Just letting you all know that JVN11L and Myself are looking at places to stay in QLD for the meet.
Ultimately we all want to stay as a group (the out of towners) so we can all cruise a posse to the different meet locations.
Keep your eyes open for updates HERE regarding our suggestions. We plan to have idea of were to stay by the end of this weekend. We will then put the suggestion up and take names.
After a week or 2 we want to have a confirmed list of people and start taking deposits. The whole will be wrapped up by the end of April, so start planning. We will also decide wht time we are driving and whether or not we are going as one big group or separate smaller groups. (day cruise) & (night cruise)
Stay tuned :)

One year at a time. Let the QLD guys get this year sorted, done and dusted, then we discuss more options.

Hey,
The roof liner is a know problem with the Camry's (I had one).
If you have time and some skills, you can take it out the roof liner via he front passenger door. There is some slight bending required, so take it slowly (two person operation really)
Remove all the all liner and the foaming glue stuff gently with a plastic paint scrapper and paint brush. Once you have removed all that, light vacuum the panel to remove any remaining particles.
Then a trip to spotlight to get some new fabric ( I went for black suede ;) ) some craft gule and a craft roller. Remember, always get an extra half metre, so you can tuck it away ;)
Now the fun part, start from one end and add a thin line of glue and roll the fabric over it. Don't go tooo thick on the glue otherwise you will see the lines thru the fabric. Repeat until your finished the lot.
Re-install and your done
Hope this helps

they are not that hard to install
I done the Sony Ericsson car kit before at it was easy as pie. Just need to know where to find power in the wiring loom and your off ;)
I'm free most weekends ;)

Hey Man,
Few things to try.
High Performance Battery (Odyssey or Optima Yellow top)
Capacitor (1-2 Fared) - This acts like a surge fuel tank. It delivers power at a constant so the amp / lights don't suffer.
There is no particular brand to go for. Just remember, if its cheap to buy, its cheap in quality ;)
Hope this helps

Ok guys, here is an update
As Daryl has been a mod before and I was very happy with him being on the team it made sense for me to reinstate Daryl.
I have also spoken to Daryl about having a much larger role within the club as progressing in to a management step. This is crucial role for setting up a great core team of moderators. It is known that a great core team creates a better community, giving more structure to the running of the club.
I am now discussing with the team on the new moderators and we shall be inviting new team members soon.
Good to see the Dazza man back in action. Congrats

I would hit up eviltwin for some assistance.
When is comes to Head decks, its purely personal choice. I have stayed clear of Pioneer and Sony, not worth the effort. JVC are ok for the money. I would lean more towards Clarion and Kenwood. If you got the cash, go eclipse!
The same theory can be applied to Single or Double Din.

I dont see the list getting bigger.
I know its a little while away, but they always creep up and people say "i forgot and work will not give me the time off"
FYI, my holidays are booked already (subject to final approval). I'll be in QLD / NTH NSW for 2 weeks. Hopefully I can go higher up than Bundy this time ;)

The track names & artists only show up if the your stereo RDS Support. Also, the station you are listening to must transmit the RDS data. This is available on some analogue radios in cars.
If you want to all those details standard, you need to get a digital radio for the car. I can suggest the Prue Highway as a great little device.
Hope this helps.

Fuzz,
I'm sorry to hear that.
I went to a country dealer (Bathurst Toyota) and can only speak praises about them.
I didn't spend much time out there, but I made a point of dropping by everytime I was out there before (and now) after my car purchase.
I even get my car serviced at bathurst, even tho I live in Sydney!??!?!?!? WHY? because they know they have a customer for life if they do things right. I always get a loan car (free, just pay for fuel used), confirmed price of the service before I confirm my booking. They bet the price on rolla ZR by over $1500 compared to any Sydney dealer.
Anyways, enough about me.
I hope everything works out eventually for you.
