  1. I have been waiting from Australian Auto Accesories in Nunawading. :/ Do you guys know anywhere else to get some? DWee u mean the link above CES direct? I am also wondering most of the pics i am seeing is Zre hatches, not many sedans around. Mine is a ZRE sedan lol

    Vig.

I went to CES in QLD and they had it done within a day. It's not cheap, but I have yet to have any CEL errors. Contact me via PM if you want more info and pics.

Additional: They never took the front bar off to get mine installed.

  2. Putty Rd at 4am? Maybe not the wisest choice, especially if it is truck-central (which it could well be at that time of the morning, the whole trip up the Hunter is going to be spent dodging trucks. Might be better taking the freeway up to Freemans Waterhole and then cutting over Heaton Gap through Cessnock and the vineyards to join the New England at Greta. Can meet up with you guys at the Freemans Waterhole diner stop that way too :P

Ahh yes, just noticed that. the freeway will be fine all the way -putty road :)

  3. Jaclyn,

    Firstly, welcome to TOCAU.

There are many CAI available for your ZRE. The one most popular one you will find on TOCAU is the Ingen one. There are a few members in VIC that have them installed, also in NSW and SA. All members to date haven't reported problems, so persoanlly i would look into them.

I myself have a custom made CAI by CES (in QLD) not cheap, but it does exactly what i want it to do. Just remember, the CAI may make your low rev performance a bit muddy.

    Hope this Helps :)

  4. Hey Man,

    Firstly, Welcome to TOCAU ;)

To remove the stereo from a ZRE rolla. NOTE: do everthing slowly. Consider getting a small plastic painter scraper and some old cloths so you don't scratch anything.

If you look face on to the centre console, yo can see 2 plastic pieces on each side of the stereo. Goto the top of the dash (near the window) and find the gap between the silver trim and the black dash. Carefully wedge your desired tool between both plastics and twist slowly. The silver trim should pop out.

Repeat this all the way to the gear shifter and on the passengers side of the stereo.

You then need to remove the air vents at the top of the console. this can be done much the same way as the silver trim, starting at the top and working down. Just remember that the hazard button is connected and and will need to disconnected for easier access.

Once this is done, there is a small trim panel around the stereo. this can be pulled off gently by hand. This will also expose the 4 bolts holding the stereo in place. I suggest a 10 socket to remove the bolts.

The stereo should then be freely accessible all round. NOTE: if you disconnect the stereo and you have a pin code set, you will need to re-enter it when you start up again. You can tell if there is a pin code enabled by looking for a red flashing light on the stereo with a Key as a symbol.

Any further questions, please ask or drop me an SMS (look in profile for number)

  5. ATTN SYDNEY PEEPS!

We have a rough plan of how we are going to get to brissy.

Meet at Thronleigh Maccas (early friday morning 3 or 4 am) drive up via New England. Stops will be at Tamworth, Glen Innes & Warwick. ETA in Brissy 3 - 4PM. Chill out at our accommodation then meetup with the rest of the gang at the nominated time.

This might seem longer, but there are fewer road works via New England. The Pac highway is full of them at the moment, not to mention Coffs Harbour a 30km stretch of 60km /hr

If anyone has a suggestion or wishes to go an alternative way, please feel free to contribute ;)

A Map can be found Here

  6. Are all sydney guys travelling together and if yes which guys/gals are :P if use dont mind me tagging along with a freind .

R-Tivo, there is a very good chance this will be case. However the finer details are yet to be worked out. My educated guess is we are doing a early morning drive, so we get into brissy in the early arvo, relax, then meet up with everyone.
