Handy tips always come in........handy!
Glad to hear the finish wasn't completed FUBARED after some recovery.....the pics looked awesome :)

What does it actually do for the wiper blades? By wiper blades, I'm assuming it's the rubber bit that wipes your windshield. Does it actually clean the wiper blade or just make it look black?
P_T, I do the wiper arm and the blades, then I let it soak in before I use the wipers :)

Hey Guys and Girls
This months meet will be a cruise from a new meet location to wisemans ferry on the 29th OCT
A map can be found here : Mappy
This will be a cruise / bbq / pics / social down by the riverside.
At this stage we won't be going over the river on the ferry, however hardcores may take this option :P
Price for the BBQ will be between $10-$15 pp depending on how many people rock up.
I will be getting there early to get our spot, so someone else will have to lead. This will be decided closer to the date.
I'll start a list now and add more details as they come to hand.
Hope to see you all there :)
1) BG Pete (Iron Chef)
2) Riverandlakes
UPDATE: TIME: meet at MC d's at 9am for a 9:30 leave time. This should mean a easy stress-free cruise. As mentioned, i will not be there as I'm going to wisemans and getting our spot.

AutoBrite's Snow Foam+
Who said car washing was boring? This product combine with a snow foam lance and high pressure hose make for an awesome pre-wash solution.
Snow foam is designed to loosen the dirt on the car before you give it a rinse. Its great for a "touch-less" solution, but no good if your dirt is baked on.
Best to use this product if you car is heaps dirty and there a lots of s**t that needs moving. Designed to minimise scratching, this will gentle remove to dirt from the paint work and once rinsed off with high pressure make the task of hand washing easy.
Don't think this is a "spray and wipe" kind of product. A hand wash is essantial after the use of snow foam.....but why not make it easy and fun :)
Quick youtube video
UPDATE
I made a black car white, Maybe I should call it "Wacko Jacko"

Dodo Juice Born Slippy - A true Clay Lubricate
While some product claim to be a quick detailer / clay lubricate, this just doesn't make sense. A quick detailer should be a product that is used on final inspection at a show and shine to remove any little water marks that you may have missed, not a be all end all product.
The Born Slippy is designed to work with all good quality clay bars (clay magic) to help the clay glide over the paint work and remove all the nasty contaminants. For a guide to claying your car click HERE
The concentrate dilutes to a 1:5 ratio, so a 500ml bottle goes a long way.
Like all Dodo Juice products, it smells funky and is easy to work with.
A must for the True Perfectionist.

Thanks bro appreciate it.. Yeh looks like might have to just go with the non genuine the genuine is bloody way over priced but oh well..
I rang a few dealers & they said to me that if I want it cheaper I can wait for a customer not wanting theirs.. Like if a customer buys a brand new toyota & they want the GPS navigation unit instead they remove the original one out of the brand new car & replace it with the GPS navigation unit.. Toyota said if I bought the unit they removed it would around $450 fitted.. But thats the thing I'd have to wait & god knows how long that'll be.. Nevertheless they said it will still come with warranty & everything because the removed unit is practically brand new..
I have a factory 08 ZRE stereo sitting in box somewhere. To my knowledge it should fit fine cable wise.
send me a PM and we can work something out

Will my stock baby Hybrid get scraped?! :o

I think the name tells the story.
I have used this product on my exterior black trim (wiper blades, rubber door seals, black trim in the engine bay) and have been blow away at how good it is.
Only a little drop is required on a foam applicator and you can cover both wiper blades and any trim around the wiper spindles.
With a matte black finish, watermelon smell and great non-oily finish, this product does give a "BLACK WOW" to your exterior trim.
I have had this product on the car for 2 weeks, left in the elements outside (wind / rain / sun) and the exterior treated areas are still black.
The product isn't the cheapest ($34 for a 4oz bottle), but the "Less is more" theory needs to be exercised to gain maximum results.
Well worth a try and great if your about to enter your car in a show and shine and are looking for that "great natural showroom finish"
UPDATE:::::::
I just did the area around the wiper spindles on my car and below is a half / half shot

It will just be a BBQ / Meet / Cruise on the town side, no ferry!
-
Next meet will be a cruise / BBQ at Wisemans.
Final details will be up by the end of this week with maps / guides / dates / times / locations / etc <<<< (the vital part)
I'm just looking at the best meeting point / route to follow before I make a final post. Suggestions will be considered but may not be part of the final plan.
Some know information so far:
- There will be a Cruise / BBQ (weather permitting)
- I'll be cooking the BBQ and will try and get our area before everyone rocks up
I'll be sorting out a menu and costs in the near future.
There will be some places where people can do action shots around corners, so i'll leave that for someone to decide who wants to be action photo person.
Stay tuned......more to come :)

BBQ and cruise is on the cards
I'll just wait a few days so everyone can post there pics up then we can look at next month.
-
in addition.
Can you list the products you used?
-
........How often do i need to put wax? :D
Wax should be put on when the water stops beading on the surface of the car.
Depending on weather conditions, how the car is stored, how often you wash the car with a good quality pH neutral wash and how often it is driven will determine how often you should wax.
I would love to say 3-6 months, but this is just a guide.

......chick driving and the car was filthy
Woohoo, you found the TOCAU Dirty whore?

My door is always open to TOCAU's peeps. Let me know and i'll make sure i'm free :)
-
Just to add, sorry cause i live in a country area and theres only 1 place to buy the products and they only have a few on hand.. So would be better for me to buy online.. Will look up the items u guys mentioned and see.. Hehe!
www.carcareproducts.com.au. If you have any questions or want a second option email them and tell them big pete with the black rolla sent you. I'm on 1st name basis and almost got offered a 30 day account :P
In regards to which products to use, best to open minded and willing to try something different.
I'm hooked on dodo juice from CCP, you only need a little to get a lot out of it.
I will admit, its pricey stuff, but your bottle of "stuff" will outlast most common garden brands you get from any super cheap or autobahn.
/my 2 cents

Glad to see to another happy user of awesome products :)

Not bad for a Tyre gel....and it doesn't look sticky on the rubber
Like all Tyre dressing, you need to make sure your rubber is clean before you apply the product.
I used the left over suds bucket and a large soft tyre brush to clean down the dirt off the rubber, then dried it down with a old cotton rag.
Once clean, I got a Curved Tyre Gel Applicator and placed a few drops on it, then applied it to the trye. I let the product sit for about 10 mins before I re-applied as it just needed a little bit more shine. More applications = more shine. One thing to note, don't flood your applicator with product, it's just a waste a waste of a good product.
I've yet to see how long this product lasts, but so far, so good.
