My turbo setup came in my cereal box
-
looking at the way it mounts up there would be some flex in the mouting brackes, this is somthing that the TRD setup avoids by mounting directly to the bolt up points.....
-
sounds like fun, Count me in at this stage, ill be the guy in the hire car
-
The only down side is having to remove the rear struts to adjust the damper settings. Its taken be a few goes but i have the setup just about right now
It's not different to having to remove the boot trip to adjust coils so it's not really a down side. =) Would you say the ride quality is close to stock with the Koni's
hole saw + boot trim = no problems.
-
so who's out tomorrow?
-
all you need to do is get the wheel controlls from a camry or somthing that has them from factory, because toyota use the same head unit is almost all of their cars.....
-
some shots can be saved in photoshop but they need to be reasonable to start with and hi-res....

the after market clutches seem to be more forgiving when trying to land in lift, not sure if its an adjustment related thing or weather its somthing in the design of the clutch itself...

i dont see how your point stands northy, because when my car was brand new it had the same problem it has today.....hard to shift into 2nd...even if it is within the paramaters set by toyota.
once its been done right, problem goes away.....i think it has more to do with the skill of the driver then a possible fault with the car.

With a CAI the lower end suffers quite badly.....so from your experience northy, would the PFC help change that problem??
my car drives the same weather its stone cold or at running temp and I its due to the PFC, when i put the stock ECU back in i have the same issues as everyone else when cold.
-
i got the same issue
but i dont have a sportivo and i got a sri
yeh same deal its "normal"
-
happens to alot of cars when cold and when fitted with a CAI.

some people will even take your money for the experience, http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...ction&meta=

what a waste of time and money, Injen has you lot sucked in bigtime. You dont need this or any other anti water/hydrolock device. Even on a car with superlow springs60mm+ drop you would have to drive through 30-40cm of water for it to even start to be an issue.....

/close,delete,ban... <_<
yeh i spose :P

there is more info on the forum then you will ever need, this thread is a great example ( http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=5503 ) once you get through that and still dont have the answers then that it the time to use the "new topic" button, personally i feel it should be replaced with the "search" button....

how can toyota issue a recall for somthing thats caused by wear and tear?? its like them issuing a recall for the tyres because they wear down when you drive the car.....
What a novel idea I wonder when Hyundai will do it...
I don't know of any other car that does not allow you to select 2nd after a high RPM gear change. Seems like its only the corolla and not the celica with this problem (tell me if I'm wrong). Clearly something is not right there. Plus i just had a service!!!!!!!!!!!!
I needed an adjustment at 1000km, 10000km, 30000km and now 60000km. Thats alot of adjustment if you ask me. I'm sick of taking it back and the problem returning. and causing damage to my box.
my point still stands.....
