  1. Could there be a possiblity of a side bar which has a sticky of all the CAi/suspension/audio removal etc. post next to the reply page, so at least the 'noobie' user has an option of clicking on them? ...then if you find that the topic that is in fact brought up is a repeat thread, they can be shot/flamed etc.

As previously observered, the 2ZZ and IZZ's modficiation capabilities have almost been exhausted. Successful turbo and supercharging setups have highlighted this. Where to from here? I'm not too sure - there are only so many VTEC vs VVTi-L, Sportivo Vs Renault and Toyota unreliability/economy threads i can read.

Personally, I have found TOCA extremely helpful. From the glory days of the Goose, noobie questions about CAI's, suspension setups, and more importantly track day experiences/ feedback. I feel that from the responses that i've had with all my questions, all members are more than helpful to point me in the right direction in terms of modding, tracking and the legalities of the cans and can nots.

Maybe the promotion of a 'club', for example the personal contact part, should be more emphasised? Meet and greets, BBq's etc?

  2. Hi Guys,

I have been talking to CES exhaust in Qld looking for cat back.

They claim that the cat back system is not much louder than our stock system.

Is it true, can anyone who has installed let me know, cos I asked for a cutom silencer and the guy said there is no need.

Yep its all true, the exhaust passes the required noise tests as well.

  3. better then all the options above is to learn to shift.... seriously!!! it shouldnt take 3 and a half hours to shift 1st -2nd. stretch 1st harder and if you still cant land lift dont be afraid to get close to the limiter and if you still cant land lift theres something wrong with you.... like punk rolla said earlier he has 18's on and he can land lift.. sure the diameters will be similar but what about the weight im sure a set of 18's are heavier then the stock 16's.

Well, I hate to disagree being a n00b and all, but if you wind out 1st to the limiter, clutch in, change to 2nd in 0 seconds (theoretically), clutch out (without slipping the clutch to keep the revs up), YOU WILL NOT STAY IN LIFT, the ratios do not allow it. It's a mathematical certainty.

how long have you had your sportivo? there are alot of guys on here who have owned them since day one and many have no probs landing a 1>2 shift and landing in lift, its not the car its the driver....

  4. good morning

cluster removal is the same for both the accent and the sportivo.

  5. Sup guys. Is it normal for my car to rev limit at 8000. I have seen some videos with the runx reving to 8500 and ****. Lift definately comes in at 6200 and it seems to limit about 8000, maybe 8200 but definately not 8500. Is this a normal scene? We get 95 octane gas here which by all accouns is probably 93 and i know the car supposed to run on 100 as its a jap spec, do you think this would have anything to so wid that. The car doesnt run bad thow, i timed a 0-60 in 6.8 so im reel excited to put in bess gas and see how it runs. Anyway thanks guys...blesss

there is nothing wrong with your car, it also only needs 98RON fuel.
