  1. Hey guys just wondering if anyone is interested in getting the X-force twin loop S10. I'm thinking of purchasing soon.

This muffler is a very unique one. I'm sure you can read up old threads about it. But basically is a very free-flowing muffler without cabin drone at all. Very quiet muffler!! It has a wonderful buzzing tone to it from 4k rpm onwards. There are quiet a few members who are currently running this muffler and are very happy customers. Grey-rolla, Gazoom, Danz etc just to name a few.

I've got a quote for a single unit price of $180. With 2 units $160 and 5 or more the price is $150. I'm getting the mufflers from S-Rally in North Parramatta.

I'll see how this gb eventuates. I'm going to get the muffler either way so it's just whether you want to join me and we save money. Btw, i've gotten quotes for about $210 before.

    Let me know guys!!! :D

Can u get the Twinloop S12 instead (and still be in the group buy)???

Edit: Also does this price include installation, if not how much extra is it from the place u r buying it from???

    Thanks for your help

    Cheers,

    Jared

  2. Hey as the title says can anyone still get the Z grill specific badges, as I would like to buy two of them (in case one gets stolen). I know kcorro and waiwong38 use to be able to get them (I think)? These are the ones I'm talking about:

    Thanks in advance...

    Jared ;) :)

  3. www.pickles.com

    www.fowles.com

occassionally there are damaged rolla sportivo's there. we've bought about 5. range in price depending on damage etc.

My one which we repared for the street was around 7.5k.

others we have bought that are statutory write offs (means u cant register the car ever again) are cheaper. we buy them simply for the engines/gearbox/wiring loom/ecu which is im sure what u are looking for. range between 3 - 5k but u gotta spend lots of time pulling it apart which can take a while, plus u will need to buy bolt on parts like radiator/air con condenser etc.

and i agree with Bill, havent seen them in anything but a corolla, a celica, a lotus, some clubmans and the MR2's

Someone on here knew someone (there was a post on it) who did a conversion, putting a 2ZZ-GE into an Echo (or Vitz or whatever they call them), even though it apparently could keep up with stock R33 Skylines it was deemed a failure due to poor workmanship n unreliability (lol the radiator n other stuff was bein held on by zip ties)

  4. Why don't you contact your supplier and ask if there will be a discount for group buys. Then ask him the price for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 units, because obviously everyone is just going to say "interested depending on price". That way people can decide whether they will want one instead of just saying they're interested and back out at the last minute due to a different final price compared to the initial estimated price.

This is why some previous group buys have failed. :)

Yea good idea, I'm in depending on price

  5. bad news dudes...I'm in South Africa and the TRD sucks, by that i mean it remains as a 141kw motor with a quick shift gear system, 17" wheels, some interior red stitchwork, a dropped suspension and TRD badges.

I have just got myself a Rsi 141kw with cold air intake, Viper branches flowing into a 63mm Powerflow exhaust system an inbox K'nN airfilter. She rides on a standard springs squeezed down to 70mm at the rear and 60mm on the front. all of this relying on STR 18" rims with 215x35x18 Firenza rubber. She goes well but i haven't tested her against a G5. All i can say is hats off to Toyota for a 1800 motor (with no foced induction ie turbo etc) that can push out 141kw, even if it be at high revs. I have heard that a TRD lightweight flighwheel gets the powerband from a lower rev..but i dont know by how much.

I've tried attaching a pic of my car...hope you can see it.

    all the best

O well at least they r stil sellin the sportivo over there (or RSi in ur terms) they r discontinued here <_< . But thats weird how u guys dont get the bodykit (can u get it optional???)

Hey that TRD model includes the TRD suspension ppl hav been sourcing here (which is very expensive) so at least that is included. Lol if i had the cash available I would import one from South Africa (through Toyota) n tell them to fit the sportivo bodykit when it gets here :D

EDIT: It's a lill pricey tho... $39,550 in aussie terms

  6. What you will find with the box size is that depending on the actual sub you use, will depend on what sort of sound it produces, then match it up with the sizr box you need.

Contrary to popular myth, not all subs give massive dB with low end bass....

I run a single 12" Earthquake in a box a little over a cubic foot, giving me a 'tighter' bass sound and awesome kick (particularly noticable during high volume Linkin Park sessions) however, the real bottom end bass (under 100hz) I tend to miss out on.

If your looking for real loud and real low bass, then you will need a larger box and a sub with more power.

I just cut my box down a few weeks ago from a 2.5 cuFt where I did have a better doof doof sound....

Although I haven't yet heard this particular box of Silva's, although I have seen it with my own eyes (finally :) ) I am sure that it will give you a great sound and at $300 for a custom box, you can't go wrong....

NB: with regards to the amp location...I had made myself a mount for my amp which was located under the rear floor panel, in place of that little storage tray next to the spare. However, due to the design of this particular box that Silvabullit has presented, it would not be a suitable option.

My suggestions are either under the front seats, or make a custom amp rack on the opposite side of the boot (if you are running a single sub) as you won't need much space. Unfortunatly I can advise that you will NOT be able to mount the amp under the floor panel above the spare... :(

    Cheers

    Azz

Hey guys sorry about bumping an old thread... but I was just wondering why you can't install an amp underneath the rear floor panel, in place of that little storage tray next to the spare with this setup, it looks like u can still access it to hav the amp there, isnt it???

Also how is this box secured to the car???

    Thanks in advance guys...

    Cheers,

    Jared :)

  7. Hey would these alpine speakers (im guessing they're 6.25") fit in the stock corolla speakers mounts??? (obviously without the alpine cover on top like yours have)

I would tend to say yes.

Mick0082 has fit MB-Quart component splits in the front behind the OEM speaker grilles (incl tweeters in the corners), plus Alpine splits in the rear doors. Micky-t has the same front component system and has fit Pioneer splits in the rear all underneath the OEM grilles too.

When you buy Alpine speakers they come with 3 mounting options for the tweets plus 2 sets of mounts for the midrange drivers. These mounts have heaps of holes for screws so you should find a few that match up with the stock holes plus they give you a little extra clearance with the magnet :)

Also if you like the Type R's then just buy the Type S's, they're very similar

Thanks Tayles, your help is much appreciated! ;) :)

  8. Gday ALL;

Many THANX to every one who supported me through out this mix up..

Reason why i put up a WTB add so early,is i WANT a rolla to feel part of the club here and i thought HERE would be the best way AND as soon as i get one,,,the BETTER..

This is what happened to my last car,,the Nissan Bluebird....a very scarey experience,,,,,,rather the blue bird than nearly drown,,,,brakes failed or hand brake cable snapped because from what 2 witnesses said,,,"it just free-wheeled after stopping as i was reversing my boat trailer into the water to retreive my boat,,,when the tow truck driver pulled the car out,,the car was in Drive and the hand brake was FULLY ON !!

    http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q288/sh...00-0008_IMG.jpg

Thankyou mods for allowing the WTB thread to remain open..

    Craig

Ouch! Yea good idea to get a Toyota ;)

    Welcome to the club

  9. Hey all I know a fair bit about computers but need help makin a decision on upgradin. How well do u reckon my PC would handle Vista (and I mean not just for a few weeks when there is hardly anythin on it, but months later when there is alot of sh!t on there (programs n stuff) and after possible upgrades such as a twin tuner HDTV card):

    *925X chipset on mother board

    *Socket LGA775 P4 3.4GHZ (with HyperThreadin)

*1GB Dual Channel DD2-533 MHZ RAM (with two free banks for additional RAM)

    *160GB Hard Drive (7200RPM)

*Nvidia 6800 GTO based Graphics Card (running off PCI-Ex16)

    *Creative Live 24-bit sound card

    *DVD Burner

*One free PCI and PCI-Ex1 slot

  10. Yeah I used the little trainge piece like in your blue-tack photo. Alpine supply 3 mounting options so I used to ones that direct the sound toward the driver/passenger. I messed up a little bit as the angle is pointing slightly down but they sound great. Still need to get pics for you

If I managed to get my hands on a set of those triangular panels (e.g. from a wreckers) from a corolla that has "a 6 speaker sound system" (in other words just the tweeters included with a mounting point on the triangular panels), would after-market tweeters fit in those factory mounting points???

They'd fit behind that piece but what would you mount them to?

I'd replace my triangular panel with the one with the mounts and put the aftermarket tweeters in there.
