  3. That looks like rubbing to me Is that a TRD CAI? If you want to replace go for injen rd 2082 or 2075 Or the CES CAI :D

  6. ohhhhhh i see, sounds good, thanks for that :)
  7. which lights are you talking about? the one in the middle of the roof or the ones near the rear view mirror?
  8. i just blocked it with a 15mm rubber chair leg cap from clarkes rubber, but i need to replace it now since its got alot of cracks and there is a hissing noise coming from it
  9. i have the exact same set up withouut that tube coming from the top of the intake, not sure what that does?
  10. Did you install the injen rd2082? Because mine also has the hole at the top but I wasn't sure what the hose did so I just blocked it off, mine seems to be working fine :)
  11. You can almost get a "dodgy" respray for that much, alot of people don't know how much a proper respray really costs, there's ALOT of preparation involved such as sanding back, filing, filling then sanding again, then removal of some panels, masking and taping then primer then sanding for high and low spots again and then colour, then more sanding then gloss.
  12. how much was it? its not gonna be chap as in 50 bucks haha id guess around 200?
  13. 220 is very bad, this last tank ive been driving like an idiot and changing at 4.5 and 5 rpm, definetly not very fuel conservative and ive done 500km and still have quarter in the tank. have you been driving harder because of the CAI or still the same? maybe reset the ECU? or do a scan for any error codes?
  14. if your looking to repair them, just get them resprayed, its much easier, as for the reason why its peeling, if your car is parked out in direct sunlight most of the day then that is one main reason why gloss starts might start to fade and peel. also what Prozak said, if its been resprayed it may be the repairers fault.
  15. welcome mate, pretty good pick up, upload some pics soon :) when i picked up mine the first thing i did was oil change, air filter and coolant. i then checked the books and found that the gearbox oil hadnt been changed in its lifetime so i quickly changed that and now shes good as new :D and then the modding began anyways goodluck
  16. i'd say it would but if yours has decreased then im not too sure, maybe its restricting air flow or your driving harder?
  17. how does plasti-dip work? is it a paint that can be peeled off or something?
  18. ive owned the car for over 3 months now, i know it wont lift when cold, when i bought the car i initially thought that was why lift wasnt working, i then figured out that it was my OCV that needed cleaning, since then lift has worked ever since. im just asking is it the ECU thats tuning its fuel and air ratios with the new CAI? or was it the cold air of the night?
  19. Sorry to bring this post back from the dead guys but over the past couple of weeks it feels as if the car is getting stronger, and pulling alot harder, maybe it's the cold air of winter haha but it definetly feels alot better and tonight lift was kicking in like I've never seen it before!!!!! Is this the ECU learning the way I drive and tuning itself with the CAI? Or is it the colder air the factor? Maybe both ?
  20. Not too sure why it went like rubbish with no restriction, maybe there was too much flow??? I ain't a specialist soo I'm no too sure
  21. That's true it was quite a few years ago and products would have been refined, I'm just going off what I read in that article and if it works ok I'm fine with that
  22. Yup that's correct, there was a magazine that did a pod filter shoot out and the 3A pod had the best flow and the second best filtration, K&N had the best filtration Ofco****. So my next pod is going to be the 3A :D have a look on their website, the article is on there somewhere
  23. does the badge have any clips at the back or is it bare? you could try using 3M double sided tape but if there's not much surface area on the grille for the tape to stick to then it wont work well. not too sure as its fitting old to new
  24. yep definetly 3A racing pod, its relatively cheap and won the pod filter shootout, there is an article on google about it. as for the hoses, you will need a 45 degree hose for the throttle body, im sure you can find them on ebay aswell
