hi guys ive seen a few stivos around with those mesh rims but im not sure what brand they are? alot of them are bbs copies. im looking for the ones that are probably 16x7.5 or 8 but have no clue who make them. ive seen a few photos of other cars in the sexy stance thread. cheers

Yer got an intake already . Planning on getting catback and headers installed at the same time. With a varex exhaust :).thats the plan for now . And hopefully westside Mufflers will do all of this . What sort of Intake did you end up getting? Yea we should catch up one day, go for a cruise or something

I'm not really into the hurricane extractors but the ppe ones are a definite :D around $600 to get to us, then you have to do exhaust :P On the website it says it's for the celica? Does it still fit?

i'd either go for the ppe headers or the headers made by CES up in queensland, they do a really good system designed for our stivo's, i think the prices are around the same??? im looking for headers aswell but not sure which one to get either

im with 123R-Prozak, go to a mechanic that has the diagnostics computer that can scan for error codes, this would be your best bet to find out why this is happening.

+1 i would say its the alternator. definetly take to a mechanic

sorry to hear about your incident, lucky it wasnt something major. my dad ownes/runs a panelbeating shop and i do know a bit about the pricing etc. the car looks like a hyundai getz if im not wrong? and the damage seems to be only on that rear bar. for a replacement rear bar it would cost somewhere around the 500 area, thats for a genuine bar. and i dont think that includes paint and labour. theres also the other option sanding it back and repainting but not sure about how much cheaper that would be. ask a few panelbeaters and get some quotes first.

does the CEL come on when your in neutral at the lights or stopped somewhere for 5-15 seconds?

you still have the stock headers? and do you have any other parts or just a engine?

I blocked all the necessary hoses off. As I said, it works fine when im in gear, but if i switch out of gear into neutral the engine stays running, then after 5-15 seconds it just gives me a CEL and switches the car off. im still a newbie with terminology......what does CEL stand for?

ok nice, just wondering if there are any aftermarket parts on it? i.e headers,cams,valves. or is just a stock enigne?

what model injen CAI did you use? i used the injen RD2082p courtesy of CUB41 :D and all i had to do was block off the 25mm hole on top, as for all the leftover hoses from the stock airbox, i just left them and it works like a charm. im sure you have to do something with them but not too sure???

Duy, the previous owner molested in just about every wrong way. HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS??? :P Well ever since you owned it, you fed it right, bought it a few pairs of shoes and a brand spanking new dress �� lol ok whats that thing at the end of ur post? my fail browser doesnt show it :( this little emoticon is winking and poking his tongue out at the same time, couldnt see it through my browser either but iphone showed it :) as for how my car is performing at the moment, it is driving quite strong but i am doing the service this weekend so i can let you all know how it goes. ive tried looking for the throttle body cleaning DIY but i cant seem to find it, anyone wanna share a link or write up? cheers

Cheers for all that guys, at the moment I'm changing the oils every 5k, I've only owned the car for 5k lol so this is my second change of oils, I've got the redline mt-90 for my gb, penrite sin0 (0w-50) and I'm ordering a 3A racing pod aswell but not sure where abouts to get the baldwin oil filter?? Also does anyone recommend the TRD Oil filter?? And as for cleaning the throttle body, do I just use throttle body cleaner or is there another method??

Lift wasn't working because the previous owner was a lady who didn't change the oil and never put the correct oil in, I checked the strainers and I think I used your DIY thread and they were pretty clogged and dirty, so I cleaned them and lift has worked ever since :) this morning I went for a run and the car went as it should :D but I'm not sure why it has it good days and bad days???

I only hit it once or twice every second day, but I have been driving like a granny lately, maybe the ECU has picked up on that? I know that the filters for vvtli and vvti are okay because I had to clean them the day I got the car because lift wasn't working lol and I'm talking about lifting the car alone, without passengers, I think I might change the air filter and reset ECU? Good option?
