I reckon with the way things are so cramped next to the fire wall you'd have no alternative but to go remote mount with a decent sized snail!!! I'd still say it wouldn't be too laggy depending on the specs!!! Personally I prefer some lag in FWD applications as it saves some stress on the running gear and in drag launches gives you a chance to come off the line without all the wheel spin... My last car had 200kw atw's in an NXR coupe and I didn't think the torque steer was too bad but personally i believe the chassis in the corolla is far better, newer, etc.
