  1. Lucky you bro! Anybody ever thought of having neons in the grill? I saw it on a Hilux last night & it stood out so much in the traffic. Although, I shouldn't have been driving in the first place.. :P
  2. That's exactly what I want to do mine! The black background on the head lights look nice as haha. I still haven't tried what 123R-Prozak suggested. Uni kills me with the assignments! :(
  3. i think its the 24th it say on page 1 Just checked! It's the 24th! :( I miss out by 2 days.. Guess I'll just have to come to december meet!
  4. I get my license back on 26th of november! Got my sportivo sitting in my garage waiting till then. What's the date for a cruise in November guys?! :) I'm guessing the 27th November right? PS: I'm new to the forums..
  5. If it doesn't work then upload the photos onto your profile & I'll check it out bud! :)
  6. I know right, it gives the sportivo a mean look from far haha!
  7. Go for projectors & angel eyes. Angel eyes will look real nice! There's a place named "Autojoy", they're in Paramatta, Sydney. They offer after market headlights, along with angel eyes, projectors & the whole lot. Check them out bud. I haven't been there personally but I only found them today from another member on this forum! :) http://www.autojoy.com.au/main.htm

Hey buddy, I love the way you painted the plastic around the foggy's. Did you have to take out the whole front bar? I'm looking into painting mine soon but just been busy with uni & work. And also, in your head lights, did you paint the background of it black or did you have after market headlights installed?
  9. I'll look for him & see how it looks. Thanks buddy! :)
  10. Yeah it might not bud. Do some shopping around on eBay & calculate labour costs if you're paying a mechanic to instal. See how it works aye.
  11. Hey mate, why don't you do the springs for now? Then slowly change the shocks to modified lowered one's so it bounce alot. When I lowered mine, I had the springs & shocks changed so that way the ride is still comfortable & doesn't bounce.
  12. What's your budget mate? There's sportivo's out there that are going for about $10k-$11k but have almost 180,000kms some of them even more! I've been looking since February this year & finally found a nice one with log books & low kms just last week so I negotiated a price & bought it straight away. While I was looking, I realised that WA had a couple clean one's with low kms. I did some research into bringing the car to NSW via train cargo & went out of my budget because my budget was $15k, that's including rego transfer fee, getting the car insured.
  13. Annual leave got approved during xmas time! No uni either, looks like it's time organise a cruise! Who's in for a cruise for all Toyota fans during the December?

  15. Try calling Toyota in Warwick Farm, they're near Liverpool. Give them a call first & see what they say, it'll save you the trip if you go there & they don't want to service you. If they can't help you then give Toyota in the city a call since they're the leading Toyota dealer in NSW. Warwick Farm is named "Peter Warren Toyota". Number: (02) 9828 8944 Address: 1/13 Hume Highway. Warwick Farm Sydney City Toyota. Number: 02) 9690 9999 Address: 824 Bourke Street. Waterloo NSW If NONE of the Toyota dealer's then I guess you'll have to go to a private mechanic but that'll void the warranty wouldn't it?
  16. Sorry, I meant painting it silver so it blends with colour. Reckon it'll look good? I haven't looked at the head lights because I've been busy with some uni work but I'll get to it soon! I'm considering painting the plastic silver while I do the head lights just need opinions if it'll look good or not.
  17. Your corolla isn't a sportivo right..? Which series corolla is your's bud?
  18. Gave the sportivo a good wash today & clean the interior! Sparkling new!

  19. That's really very odd if you ask me, I guess the workers at the dealership are very lazy! Which area are you in? I might be able to help you out buddy. Private message me about this!
  20. I'll try this when I get home from work today arvo haha! :) Thanks heaps! Also, for the facelift model, what's everyone's opinion in painting the black plastic that surrounds that fog lights? My sportivo's silver & I'm considering if it'll look more toned in with the colour but not sure.. :/ Opinions please?
  21. Hey everyone, I'm looking for a aftermarket headlights for a 2005 sportivo! I saw these headlights on a sportivo that have the background of the headlights a darkish black/grey colour so it contrasts well with a silver or white coloured sportivo. I've searched eBay but can't find headlights for a 2005 model, I can only find headlights for 2003-2004 model! If anyone knows where to find this then please let me know! Thanks! :)
  22. Does only a Toyota Dealer do this or can any mechanic do this?
  23. Hi guys, I have a couple mate's who have owned sportivo's & they have said that it's a really common problem amongst sportivo's. The gears between 2nd & 3rd start to crunch after the car does more then 160,000 -180,000 kms. My 3 mate's that have owned sportivo's got the gearbox replaced with an aftermarket sports gearbox & also replaced the clutch with a heavy duty clutch. The most common clutch was an Exedy Heavy Duty Clutch. Mine hasn't had any problems yet but I am expecting the problem in the next couple years.. Toyota did a great job with everything in this car except the gearbox. And also, what CHA54 is saying is another great solution as well! I haven't heard of that solution but the problem can be fixed by that. Just consider it if it's a good long term solution for the car! :)
  24. I was in the same position, I had $15k saved to spend on a car. My options were 2004-2006 Sportivo, 1999-2000 DC2 Integra Type R, 1999-2000 Civic EM1 & 2005-2006 SP23. My opinions: Sportivo- best option for me because great on fuel, 1.8L engine, comes with all luxuries such as leather seats, 6 stacker cd, body kit, alloy wheels & the whole lot. Plus has a fair bit of grunt because of the 2ZZGE VVTL-i engine. Servicing is great because toyota parts are cheap & affordable. DC2 Integra Type R- Was pretty keen on buying one because of the whole VTEC cross over & easily modifying options although it was 2 door. Couldn't really find a clean one with legit kms. Insurance pretty high as well for Under 25's. Honda maintennance works out pretty expensive when it comes to major servicing. Not really ideal for an everyday car. I found the recaros uncomfortable & the ride wasn't really soft because after all, the DC2 is a sports car. Civic EM1- Great car. suited everything of my wants & needs in an everyday car but the only thing pulling me down was the age. It's a 1999-2000 model. Which meant I'd have to give it more attention mechanically as so SP23- Has all the luxuries but the engine was a bit too big for everyday drive considering I'm a full time uni student & work 4 days a week. I needed something that's a 1.8L - 2.0L engine. Mechanically, mazda parts are affordable too. I ended up buying a 2005 sportivo mainly because I owned a Nissan Pulsar SSS while I was on my red p's & I loved the whole hatch body shape. When I looked into Sportivo's, I fell in love with them. The fact that it's a 6 speed manual pushing almost 150kws on the front wheels along with it's leather interior & nice trims just made me want it so much more! Also, it's a Toyota, you can never go wrong with Toyota! Insurance was decent on it. I don't mind racking up the kms driving from home to uni almost 4-5 days a week then driving from uni to work & back home 4 days a week also going out here & there for cruises & things. It's all worth it & I'm planning on keeping my sportivo for as long as I can. I'd suggest you sportivo mate! Great cars & real powerful for it's size if you know the correct way to drive it!
  25. Hey everyone! I bought a 2005 Sportivo Corolla on Wednesday. It's silver in colour, I bought it off the first owner. I honestly think it was a great buy because it had 85000kms on the clock along with log books, receipts since brand new & everything is still original! I'm really happy with the car. I'm on my green p's & she's my second car! I've had a 2000 Nissan Pulsar SSS as my first car. Pictures will be coming soon once I get more access to the forums! Nice to meet all the Toyota lovers! :)
