  1. saw a black facelift stivo today right in front of me going up the ramp at p1 homebush i take it the owner was going to top gear as i was. also saw mou554 i think turning off woodville road going past granville tafe the other day
  2. i work in merrylands goodyear autocare just drop past during the week or before 1 on saterdays and ask for tim. the michellin energy's seemed to be the ones prone to getting flat spots on the rear tyres only on the inside though so check by running your hand around the tyre if it feels lumpy towards the inner edge of the tyre has flat spots

  4. your problem sounds like the right hand wheel bearing when your turning left your loading the right hand side of the car so the noise is louder cause there is more load on the right hand wheel bearing, turning right you are unloading the bearing and the noise goes away. youll also notice that if its the wheel bearing the noise wont change on varying road surfaces where as if its a tyre noise as the road surface changes the noise will change as well. these model corolla's also have a tendency to feather the rear tyres as well that can cause a tyre noise as i just mentioned the bearing you wont really be able to tell if its worn very just by wobbling the wheel as the sealed bearings these things wont have freeplay unless they are really bad as in about to fall apart they may have a bit of a rumble in them though when you spin the wheel youll feel it. hopefully this set you in the right direction and the oil leak....not normal if you want you can bring it past my shop ill look at it free of charge and check it to confirm my theory im only comming to this conclusion based on what youve written doesnt bother me if you dont want me to fix it lol! my boss still pays me either way
  5. yes the 5 grams really makes a difference i wouldnt be buying it for anything more than the feel if your worried about weight pull your engine cover off theres about 250 odd grams off your front wheels

  7. dust the cobwebs off this one lol! maybe there should be a sticky pointing out that there will be no tweaked up trd zre152 shame really but i can see where theyre comming from but if youve got the coin you could get the lotus engine and put it in a zre152
  8. yes i do belive its possible but the one for sedan is different shap. I checked on ebay not available for sedan :( where can i find parts for sedan? ? what are you talking about?

  12. well you did ask for a propper exedy clutch and it was only a rough quote i wasnt going to go get prices till i knew exactly what you wanted in regards to what pads you wanted stuff like that
  13. did they use toyota genuine pads? cause they tend to get noisey out of nowhere i get it all the time with mine one minute theyre fine next theyd be graunching their heads off. the squeek could be a shim rattle or a shim out of place maybe rust on the disk
  14. put a turbo on it already! the k&n filter wont give you very much power gain whatsoever maybe a few kw's. youd get the same result if not better by port matching your inlet and exhaust manifolds and wrapping your exhaust manifold in heat wrap better still you can get extractors cheap for these as well.

  16. you could always bring it to my shop in merrylands if you want i can get all that done for you depending on what pads you want id say round the 110 mark possibly round the 200 odd mark with machining. the clutch will be a killer though possibly round 1500. the exhaust will be basically price on whatever it is thats causin the noise could end up costing **** all and with super lows id say i can get it done just a smidge under 2g's only we dont have a courtesy car atm cause the new owner for my shop just took the joint over today anyway give me a call if you want 0406179751 and ill work out a propper quote my boss might do you a better deal seeing as id be bringin him the work.

  18. your mate putting a stock ae102 on a dyno is a waste of dyno time and he would be better spending the money he is wasting on some mods thatll actually do something if he did race he would know this but i assume he must be a hard core street racer........... :D im sorry its really hard to keep a straight face after a few beers reading this crap. otherwords go up to your mate slap him and say stop wasting everyones time dumbass

You got ripped off. 1zz and 2zz use exactly the same clutch plate and pressure plate in the aftermarket kits, only difference is the throwout bearing depending on what fork you use, and that usually has a $20 difference between the nachi and NSK bearings. Check out the cross reference between 1zz and 2zz here: http://www.trdparts.jp/english/parts_clutch.html I can tell you now the 1zz and 2zz clutch assemblies I have in my shed interchange between the 1zz and 2zz flywheels I've got. The 2zz pressure plate design varies between the JDM and South African built cars, as does the clutch disc slightly, but still completely interchangable. I've posted pics of them all side-by side before. thats the prices i got from repco.........they are a bit special seeing as they can never give me the right parts
  21. is the a/c not so cold? then shortly after the squeel is it then alot colder? if so it could be the tx valve getting stuck
  22. theres no way they could do that sportivo clutches arent cheap trade price was about 450 that was the best price i could get on a pbr clutch a normal 1zz clutch was round the 200 odd mark
  23. lol! funny bugger! yeah billy drive your car out the TCMA in bottany and open the bonnet for em whilst proudly announcing BEHOLD!!! cmon guys they wont go nuts on the corolla theyve got now itll cost too damn much to build/test and make pass emmisions theres nothing in it for them itll end up costing a bomb to sell and why bother when theyre selling in good numbers we arent talking about n12 pulsars here when they tried putting exa turbo motors in to boost sales. the only way i can see a trd corolla ever comming to light is if somebody goes out there and builds one of their own and if they wanna call it a trd corolla then they damn well can cause theyll have to have spent some dollars to make it happen
  24. i spoke to my boss about doing the clutch after we priced up the parts the clutch was about $650 and he put 7 hours labour on at $78 an hour think it worked out about $1200 which is in my opinion pretty steep so id say youll get it done cheaper than that for sure haha! and my boss wonders why we dont get much work
  25. hey look as long as its done right and by the sounds of it id say it has been and as long as the rustproofing isnt compromised and it drives straight and doesnt crabwalk then theres no reason it wont last as long as any other stivo out there **** man for under 5 grand thats one commited effort with a good result
