  1. now ive worked for a certain toyota dealer and i wont mention which one. power steering fluid rarely would need changing definatly not at 50000 and the injector service is a load of **** all we used was a can of cleaning stuff that we were meant to hook to the fuel line but we were told to dump it in the tank apparently thats bad for the fuel filter but most times if we were out of the stuff the service office would charge the customer for it anyway and there were many other little indiscepencies but at the same time the warranty clerck was about the only honest guy in management helped a few people claim on warranty even if it was a few months out. anyway i ended up leaving cause i couldnt handle what they did to the customers. in short a good dealership is hard to find
  2. hmmm ive seen them on ebay quite a bit but cause ive just done the tail light mod i wont bother with em
  3. true bill's battery maybe small but it does the job and as long as your not running a massive sounds system off it youll be fine
  4. haha bring it to my shop ill do it cheapish lol! well my boss will work out a price roughly 8 hours labour at 60 bucks plus a clutch should come in under a grand
  5. the fielder looks like a good bit of kit me wonders if toyota will be bringing it to our shores seeing as theyve got an absence of station wagons in the current lineup maybe theyd be angling to take some of the market away from holdens new abomination it would be popular for the fleet companies no doubt
  6. yeah theyre nuts for customising over there the stuff i saw when i was there in feb was good but then there was a few abortions...........specifically like this thing. glad gordon ramsay hasnt seen it he'd be like thats **** rubbish DO IT AGAIN!
  7. ive noticed the chrome cant just be painted over i tried experimenting on my fog lights tape wouldnt stick paint wouldnt either so i sprayed the whole thing........meh dont need em anyway
  8. wtf? flange bolts? howd you break them?
  9. sounds like the biggest can of worms this thing. just find a good auto sparky and get it towed to them no point speculating whats gone wrong cause anything could have shorted out or been damaged enough to work momentarily but not for very long and looking under the bonnet of an ascent isnt going to help you none cause of obvious engine differences seriously let a pro handle it and save yourself the headache
  10. spot on...... no reason why they couldnt have them made special order from the factory for the people who actually want and can afford them yeh we all know toyota arent going to bring out a fully worked corolla if they arent going to sell squillions of the damn things it wouldnt be viable but then again they whats stopping them from making a limited edition like the ae112?
  11. only problem with putting awd into a corolla is the power loss through the drivetrain and for the first time itd be more in contention with the likes of the new imprezza cant see that one happening. and they made considerable effort with the ae112 turbo but it was too brief a production run the colour choice was gold...or......gold and yeah stock 7a with a turbo bolted on for good measure they did put effort in but it was somewhat limp wristed in the end
  12. couldn't of been booting it too hard. i had 4 heavies in the car lol. couldn't go over the speed bumps in the car park with them in it lol. ahh lol didnt notice you had company i thought it was just really lowered in the back lol!
  13. the fuel consumption is actually really good on the 2GR-FE. Aurion's average about 10L/100Kms. In a corolla body, it would be even better. The blade master G comes with VSC and TC standard so the cornering would be alright. But yea for sure, it smokes the crap out of those ****ty astras. 200 KILLER WASPS! It would be fair game for the VW R32s too. yeah i suppose they might get away with it a 2gr-fe would put it in better contention with the r32 golf in the 5 door catagory but theyll never make it sound as raw and as sexy as the r32 does when you give it some stick those who've heard one will understand where im comming from. pitty theres only a handful of 5 door performance hatches for the corolla to stack up against ive had people comparing my car to things like astra turbo's and clio sports but its not the same in the end so its not really fair to do a direct comparison. at the end of the day i rekon toyota has something up its sleeve that they wont disclose they said flat out they wont bring the blade here now theyve waited till all the other manufacturers have showed their hands so now toyota has a benchmark to work with to get theyre next performance corolla up to speed with the rest of the market. the ae112 turbo was pretty weak you couldnt do a great deal with it i knew a few people who had them and they werent too happy with what they got out of it
  14. when i first heard about the blade i sent an email to toyota asking about the if's and when's they might bring these things out all i got was the cannot disclose any information relating to possible future releases......so that tells me nothing. when they released the zze series didnt they release the sportivo roughly a year after maybe theyre going to do the same thing here still with all the new hot hatches out there now itll be interesting to see what toyota are going to bring to the party the v6 might be too much for it with fuel consumption figures versus the size of the car it might not meet emmisions standards plus the 6 is pretty peaky so itll be crap powering out of corners unless they put an lsd in. doesnt matter how they do it as long as it smokes the 177kw astra turbo eurotrash which means they might have to go forced induction as well
  15. saw miche's old stivo bootin along past westfeild hornsby thursday evening
  16. its easier to pull them out to do the job trust me cause youve also got to modify the wiring harness as well
  17. yeah take it to toyota if the reprogram proceedure isnt working save yourself some hassle
  18. saw QT-001 come past work today as she does most days cept today she had the windows down...all i can say is DAAAAAyyym!
  19. yeah i did it to mine.........not so great
  20. yeah but for 141 bucks plus shipping seems like a cruel joke really i could get a machinist to make several sets for that price
  21. wow i never figured itd take so long to do the clutch i spose if they were to machine the flywheel as well itd be right. maybe xoom can shed some light on how long it took him to drop his box out
