  4. aww crap shame i missed it sounds like you guys had a blast i was out that way on business to the rain was terrible lol! next meet i hope to be there though
  5. id be in for one but i have no way to get the funds to wherever theyre meant to go ho dang! theres underdrive pulleys on ebay for $50 but im sceptical
  6. sounds good id enjoy a slow cruise last time i went to bathurst i had to fang it just to keep up did i mention i was cruising with a bunch of xr6 turbos? nevermind red stivo 2 and 1/2 people in otherwords a baby look forward to attending
  7. just shave it lol! no handles or strips or badges
  8. tell me bout it its either 100 bucks for the genuine or 110 for the k&n plus a cleaner kit seriously the only way youd know which performance filter lives up to its promise is dyno testing
  9. i put a k&n filter in my stivo mainly cause i thought the replacement paper element for $100 was a bit rich cant really say if it makes any power difference it makes a bit more induction noise id be surprised if it did have any effect on its own without redirecting the air feed into the airbox itself as for the toyota mechanic saying itll suck oil into the engine thats true it might..... but the amount of oil it may suck out really wouldnt be noticed and if you clean the throttle body a few hundered klms after reoiling or first fitting any traces in the intake are quickly dispensed i clean mine every 10,000 but thats just me.
  10. I'd beg to differ on that point, but ok. Always cheaper to fix the body than replace the engine... he probly means like chassis damage i think also that once the chassis is bent it will never be the same but meeeh thats just me lol ps. rear skirt rocks XD~ Dude you saw my car. You would never guess it was destroyed at the front. I've compared it to undamaged models and there is no difference at all, in fact i'd think that our careful work is almost better than standard. it all depends on the panel beater yes sometimes they come up better than ever and then theres some that come back hell rough
  11. this is interesting i thought the slots were to help decrease the gas buildup between the pad and rotor but its marginal on your normal road car whilst sitting in traffic then all theyre for are looks plus they can be noisey when you pull up at the lights they make a whooshing noise but theyre better than slotted and cross drilled they just crack under too much heat. i agree with the others though its not just the pads and rotors good lines good fluid and possibly a master cylinder brace would make a marked improvement
  12. I had thought about buying that engine but the work had already started, pitty it wasn't posted earlier im up to $4500 for repairs so far the engine was put back in today and apparently there's a horrible noise coming from it or the gear box so they have to investigate that now. Im glad the overtime has started back up at work. hard luck dude i feel for ya would have been a golden opertunity to do a bit of performance work if you had the spare dosh but now i spose youll have to go easy till its run in again. should have claimed it under warranty lol! if it were still in warranty
  13. funny you should say that this time last year my ae92 sx was knocked off
  14. owch!! man thats gotta hurt still id rather blow the engine than bend the body once its bent its never the same. as for the skirt i wouldnt mind one and having twin exhausts near the middle poking right through the guts of the skirt i saw a corolla at the last auto salon done that way looked real nice
  15. ive been a member for about 2-3 months since i got my stivo never been on any cruises or any meets but id be keen to try come to the villawood meet
  16. yeah way too many lol! im sure whoever is wasting their time with astras will come to their senses and make more stuff for decent cars
  17. very diff lol very very different lol point taken lol! why would people waste time making progector headlights for a crud bucket like the holden astra but not for the rolla
  18. just wondering if anyone out there knows if the headlights for the us spec toyota matrix would fit the early zze corollas they made progector headlamps for the matrix i was interesed to see if they were close enough a match probably not but it would kick **** if they did ;)
