  1. So as most would know I had my wheels coated the other day and today I decided to get them fitted...

Got fitted today down at tyrepower in north melbourne... Anyone downs here in melbourne I would highly recommend them...

    Here are the results....

    This is ride height

    null-6.jpg

Crappy pics as melbournes weather today has been horrible

And lastly just one of it aired out... The rears have about another inch for when I roll the guards and can get another additional inch once I change the rear shocks...

Quite happy with how she sits at the moment... Will be getting a set of rear camber shims fabricated after the national next weekend...

GOD DAMMIT NEED MORE $$$$ that looks amazing, cant wait to see it up at the annual :P I'm plasti dipping my badges this weekend and the center between the two grills on the front (hard to explain)

  2. Hey All

I'm just looking to get some advice on exhausts for the box :) at this stage my knowledge is pretty basic at best but ideally I'm not looking for an entire kit more likely something from the catalytic converter back, essentially I'm hoping for more of a better tune out of the exhaust more of a growl I guess, but I don’t necessarily want a massive cannon exhaust I can fit my shoe in (looking at you Flex :P)

All advice, links and general caning at my lack of knowledge are greatly appreciated :P

  3. I am in *pending commitments* to both saturday and sunday.

One question, will hooters allow a 17 year old in without parent? My Girlfriend is only 17, so yeah... if not, would someone be able to say they are her parent lol?

Can't go for Monday though :(

I will also be trying to get the gang that attended with me last time to come aswell :) So possibly x4 attending here :)

I'm pretty sure I've seen kids in hooters before accompanied by their parents :P so yeah someone can just "act" like your gaurdian, most likely they won't care too much if it's a large group of people coming in

  4. Hey guys, just letting you know that auto barn stock plastdip now, normally these would be a bitch to get, only a couple distributors in aus.. so yes just a heads up $30 a can from auto barn..

    - Jim

Sweet :) I've got some Chrome bit's that I'd like black, any word as to colors?

  5. Looking good dude... I take it the coils are in?

    How is the ride?

Yep got the coils installed on Saturday, rear tyres sit level with the guard (no more sitting on stilts :P) and to be honest I was expecting it to be a lot harsher than what it was, it's actually really comfortable it only gets unsettled when you hit a large pothole but that's most cars, the biggest difference for me is how flat the car now sits in the corners and doesn't roll about.

Now that the suspension is out of the way I'm going to take a page out of Flexin's book and get my roof done in black vinyl thoughts?

  6. Hey Guys thanks everyone for the responses, I ended up contacting Top One Automotive and it's booked in Next Monday (coilovers are in board with courier to be delivered today) :) So I'll do a before and after shot this weekend/ next week

    Thanks again all

  7. they look nice man,

    take some pics!

also what area you from bra ( no homo )

Will have to this weekend :) Car is currently sitting at Toyota today though :( there's a faulty bearing in the altanator and it make's some pretty bad noises so that's getting replaced under warranty.

I live in Bexley, would love to hit up a car meet soon (once my car has the tein coilovers installed so it doesn't look like it's on stilts).

Did you get aftermarket springs in your ride? (if so did you do it yourself or get someone else to do it?)

Faulty Alt? that's no good, me and my old man installed the springs.. i bought tanabe df210's for my box, they sit very nice.. altho my cannons cop a beating.. they arn't going to last too much longer, ill be replacing them with smaller hotdogs next time round, bexley is close bro.. my sis lives there, i live sylvania way, we should def organise a meet,.. i recently got a big audio system put in as well from doran, pulled out all the exisiting speakers, fitted with high end rockfords, 2 x rock amps also and 2 x 12" p3 rocks, the thing screams... you also just reminded me i need to book my service in!

I do remeber seeing those massive cannons while the car was on the lift :) maybe something twin pipe like a Varex muffler?

PS did post another topic in this forum but dont spose you know any reputable mechanics that could do a coilover install?

Hey Flexin I'm currently running some Koya Driftech 18x7.5 with a 45 tyre and it clears easily :), rides a bit bumpy but definately not as bad as some other cards I've ridden in riding similar sized rims (and I want to chuck on some Tein coilovers if they fit), I got my Rims and some Toyo Tyres from Taleb Tyres (up the road from Tempe Tyres towards Rockdale) for $1300

P.S Flexin I've seen your ride parked in an electricians shop in Banksia before :P

what offset? keen to see pics

    Hey Nubs

Currently running a +40 offset, below is a link of what they look like, word to the wise though they dont come with a centre cap so the screw thread of your axle (sounds legit) will stick out so pick up a can of black spray paint while your at it :)

I'll take some pics this weekend and post them up

  10. Hi All

New to the forums, I've posted recently about getting some Tein Street Basis Coilovers for my 2012 Rukus Build 1 which I've now ordered and they're on their way from Japan (excited). I'm just wondering if there's anyone in the Sydney region that someone could recommend to install them? I'm not really confident with doing the work myself given I have to use the OEM Top hats (so I'm assuming I'd need to disassemble the existing spring/ coil set up).

Anywho I'm keen to see if anyone has some recommendations for places in Sydney that could do the work (I'm happy to pay a little extra if their work is up to par).

At this stage I've contacted two places, TuneHouse performance based out of Marrickville who quoted me $510 for the work and Ozzy Tyres in Rockdale who quoted $400. I've read a few reviews about Ozzy Tyres and I'm not really impressed by some of the responses relating to their customer service.

All comments are welcome and Thanks in advance :)

  12. Hi All

New to the Forums, currently have a 2010 Toyota Rukus Build 1 In Silver (will post pics soon :), I've got a query about suspension, I've contacted a TEIN distributor in QLD who's advised Tein do a basis coilover kit for the Toyota Rumion which I can get delivered from JPN for around $1298, just wondering if they'd actually fit, it mentions the chassis code of ZRE152N (link below)
