  1. Guys,

The price of Michelin PS3 and Dunlop sportmaxx are quiet closed. I have read some reviews saying that the PS3 are handling better in wet then the sport maxx with its softer compound. Personally I had sportmax on my Yaris. It did a really good job on dry and wet however, the they are pretty noisy .

Would you guys go to PS3 or sportmaxx?

    Cheers

    Michilen Pilot Sport hands down.

If you want a more dry orientated tyre you can go for Nitto Nt05

Also anyone know the maximum offset I could go on fronts and rear? keeping in mind I don't have stock ride height, or would it be best to just hit up a shop and check to see what clearances i could pull off?

  3. hi all

any room for a caldina to attend the meet?

this would be the first meet in a long time and hope to get to know a few of the other members

Hell Yeah!, I've been wanting to buy a Caldina for months but have sort of been off put by dodgy dealers (looking at you prestige auto's in Haberfield). It'll be good to speak to someone who actually owns one day to day so please do come along :)

  4. Sorry guys

The end of this month is going to be a bit hecktic for myself (work wise)

I would prefer to day cruise / lunch or dinner on teh first weekend of DEC.

This will be the last (planned) event of the year

If we like the idea, I'll nail something together.

I'm up for whatever, if we want to meld Nov and Dec togethor and just have a decent cruise that'd be great. Maybe a cruise to Bathurst for a few laps around the famous track or whaever :P

  5. Hi guys, new here.... Keen to come to one of these meets.... There any plans for one this month or next?

Where do you guys usually meet/cruise to...?

    Hey Scott

Our monthly meets are usually held at Greenacre McDonalds and have been for a few years I beleive, touch wood no one ever gives us much hassle.

Once a year we have annual meet which changes location and every few months we'll have a cruise, last I believe was to the Hunter Valley.

  6. Hey there, just thought I'd intro myself to the club. Have been reading a few of the topics on this site and have given me a few ideas for what to do with mine.

I bought a 2011 series 3 in Dark Furnace about a month ago, and I'm in love with it. Looking to install some DRL's first up, then move on to lowering, exhaust and maybe some wheels. Are there any box cruises that happen? Used to go on cruise with my e series falcon wagon and a heap of other e series owners and they were fun.

    Cheers,

    Jason.

Welcome to the forums Jason :) Hit up CDUCTN based in Vic who owns another Rukus, there's usually a Toyota Owners Club monthly meet you can go to and every year there's an annual meet up :)

If you're looking for suspension take a look at some of the parts lists in the Rukus Thread.

  7. Hello Rukus Friends,

I have a 2011 Build one and have purchase a Gen Toyota 6.1 Touch Screen (from a new Corolla). The connectors at the back are different (which I already knew), however you apparently can purchase a wiring harness or conversion. My local Toyota Dealer in Brisbane doesn't think this exists. Ive spoken to all the parts and service persons.

Do anyone know of a part # of elsewhere I can look. Its just the Antenna and Sound connection.

The unit powers on and looks very pretty.

    Thanks in Advance. :D

Unfortunately I'm not really sure of the wiring harness being referred to, when I changed the deck in my car the Rukus was fairly still new to Australia so I had to get wiring diagrams from the Scion XB/ States side and cut, twist, solder and shrink wrap all my cables. Definately your best bet would be to head to a proper audio store and talk to some of the installers/technicians there, I'm not talking about strathfield car audio but places that all they do is audio or custom audio set ups.

hope this helps a little :(

  8. Hey

Can anyone point me in the right direction for interior lights? looking to change ones the roof to LED's but I want to get them from someone reputable and seeing as I havent ordered them before the correct ones :)

    Sorry for the nubness

  9. Jim the tails looks crazy... you never seam to amaze me with what you do... thats why yours is my fav box out here.....

just out of curiosity are their any plans for the reverse and turn signals to go to LED as well? or just keep to stop/lights...

again big props dude good to see someone going down the custom route...

Cheers Chris.., as for the taillights they are not finished yet, i want to get the indicators switched to sequential indicating like the audi r8 spyders, front / back.. i am still waiting for a mate to recieve the parts for the circuitry, but if it works out like i think it should it will be off its nuts...the skys the limit bro.

    >

lol, thanks mate, all the monitors are purely cosmetic, they are not practical.. only for shows.. etc, i picked up the monitors at a price i couldnt refuse, i love the way it looks now, i have made room to garage my box now also which helps

Pretty sure you could squeeze in a 50-55" tv in the boot.

    Just sayin'...

    Love it mate!

Yeah forsure mate, maybe somewhere down the line lol!.. was also thinking a rear projector.. lift up the trunk back it up against the wall and get the popcorn out..!

Hate to admit it but seeing as Defyant has the templates for the LED's from doing your tailights mine might end up the same, I'll see though depending if I get a response from the states on the US OEM tailights :)

Also in regards to the projector, if you search around youtube gizmodo.com.au (tech website) had a Rukus a while back that they did some mods on (it ended up looking pretty terrible) but one of them was a projector in the bootlid that was custom moulded into the plastic. I believe they got Ryda at Petersham to do the work :), if you are going down that route I suggest also having the ability to hook up an Xbox, PS3 or even better a Nintendo 64 to it :P
