  1. Thanx crypt. She goes in tomoro morning to be lowered.

Awesome be sure to post up some pics :) who are you going with? also you just doing springs or springs and shocks, or even coilovers?

  2. On the list, Borla exhaust, get rid of the flames and get my scratch repaired, eyelids and usdm taillights :) short list right

Did you work something out with Terry for the tails?

Yeah, he just needs a little more time to get some extra $$$ togethor and to get some tails from a local dealership for day to day use, can't wait.

  3. it's me again i have returned :spiteful: thought i would find out if there was a way to get that arm rest fitted, i decided to phone my Local Toyota Dealership & the man politely informed me that if i did in deed decide to get that much wanted arm rest, they would have to replace the whole bottom bit & the price just blew me away wait for it $800 Dollars i wonder if it is made out of Gold to match my Front Grill Badge ;)

Did they quote you on just the part by any chance? I cant imagine it being that difficult to install to be honest

  4. Crypt...

exactly same as the ones i'm running...

the lad who wants to swap has a second set so i would say he would send over first then once you have them installed you would send over to him...

when changing lights the AU loom fits the USDM lights so i wouldn't worry...

    let me know

Would be more than happy to have them :P any rough ideas on how much postage is from here to the States?

  5. Hey Cductn, are they the same tailights that you're running? Is there any issue in terms of in the states they run red indicators rather than yellow?

I'm very keen :) Althought I can't go driving around without taillights while waiting for the new ones to arrive :(

  6. I had these ones installed. I got them for about $150 on eBay and had my uncle who's a mechanic to install them for free. They dim when you turn on your low beams and haven't had any problems with the cops.

(sorry for the crappy quality pics).

Nice work, now i know this sounds odd but do u have a photo of what they look like off, I just want to see how they fit into the bumper :)

  7. What's this place like for unwanted attention on a Saturday night?

My car will be ready so I am keen.

Others can better judge but I've been 4 or 5 times and have never been given grief, cops have turned up before and sat in their cars hoofing away at the dunkun donut replacement that is McD's but we never rev the nuts off our engines or play loud music so they don't seem to give a p!ss

  8. Well at the moment i am running only 16's but at a later date would love to go much bigger but not too much ;) as the guy at Beaurepaires had said & i never forget his Words, he politely informed me that the Bigger You go the More the Bumps you will Feel, but then again What about the old Saying " The Bigger the Better " :spiteful:

Maybe instead of wheels you could go suspension? depending on your route can work out a lot cheaper than new wheels?

  9. Oh Woww that is so amazing to have the Chance to Travel to the other Side of the World & see how they Live & Drive :D Yes the Scion XB has been a Huge Hit over in the USA & wish it would

Be a Hit here in Australia, but People here are not so Appreciative or Understanding, they take a long time to get used to Change & especially when it comes to our Beloved Cars. I Would Dearly Love to Travel to the States & Check out their Awesome Cars but mostly i too am a big fan of the Scion XB. You are Just Like me as soon as you saw it You Just Knew you had to have one there was Just no way around it. Woww The Scion Badges are Cheap that is Great, then Why are Toyota Badges so Expensive. few Weeks ago i just Bought another Front Grill Toyota Badge for the Rukus Halo as i had a Man 24Kt Gold Plate the Badge he is Living in Sydney & my Halo is now in the Work Shop Smash Repairs having Few Repaint Jobs & they have already attached the Gold Badge & it does Look Pretty amazing. if you are needing anything Gold Plated for your Scion let us Know Will Give you all his Details, even if you are living in another State. Hmm So Your Scion is a She ;) think mine too is a she You Just get that Feeling. Do You get on E-Bay at all.? there is so much Scion XB Products that i am thinking about Ordering Mudflaps for the Halo which will Fit & maybe Spend a little more Money as i can't seem to Stop. when i see something for my Halo i go a little Crazy :D i am so Happy for you making it into a Scion think you would be the only one here in Australia who has a Scion now that is Pretty Special. Life is Way too Short, what ever makes you Happy Just Do it & My Halo Brings me Happiness. i am thinking about Ordering Prestige Plates even though will be a little Pricey hoping that will become a Reality Before the End of the Year Will Keep You Posted. Wish you Happy Driving your Beautiful Scion May she Bring Much Love into Your Life :D

If you're big on DIY Sonia take a look into the world of Plasti Dip (If you haven't heard of already), all my badges are now plasti dipped matte black to match the wheels. Also the Rukus suspension seems a little high out of factory especially in the rear so take a look at http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/38037-rukus-lowering-spring-comparison/ to suss out how to make your Rukus not look like it sits on stilts (which I always hated after I got my after market wheels).

Personally I went the Coilover route with some Tein Street Basis kits flown over from Japan but depending on your budget you can just go springs i.e. Tanabe to get that look you want unless you're towing things :P I guess the best it's best to ask around, Cductn is running a full airbag suspension setup, Flex is running aftermarket springs (I think Tanabe) and I'm running coilovers.

P.S sorry to go off topic feel free to whip afterwards

  10. Yeah they won't fit... The new 2013 xb has side vent drls though so maybe wait a little while and get them... As seen in this thread http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/39503-scion-xb-updated-for-2013-model-year/

Hey Stuart take a look at http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/39412-daytime-light-on-rukus/ I've posted links to a DRL that fits those bumper spaces (at least looks like) and the instruction manual, I'll be buying them this week :)

  11. They will be different from the 08xb in the state to the rukus.... I have seen a few people run some custom lights I think that might be your only hope...

To touch on what Chris said these wont fit the Australian delivered Rukus, I've been looking at DRL's for a while and have considered the Custom Route like Flex but don't have the time or patience so this is my alternative http://www.mnrelectronics.com/20scxbculedd.html (click on the link for some reason u may have issues copy and pasting). I've checked out the manufacturers website and seen the installation manual http://www.rostra.com/manuals/260-1002-XB1_Form5304.pdf and it looks fairly easy to install and has all the bits needed so no need to cut, solder, heatshrink etc.

Just need more dosh before taking the plunge, once I do i'll let you guys know how I go with some pics :)
