  1. It's not just the stivo - I very occasionally get the same rattle you are describing in my 1ZZ. It only does this around 3000rpm from memory... Haven't heard it rattle in a long time now, which is strange. Anyone know what causes it?
  2. Not a corolla but semi-related to this thread... Spotted a black Yaris with Corolla Sportivo rims yesterday at Parra Church Street around 7pm parked near the Meat & Wine Co. Looked awesome with those wheels
  3. Spotted LFT 20Y on Parra Road city bound just after Wattle Street today at 1:40pm. Your car looks quite nice.
  4. Segregating into different models would suck and I agree with Bigbum that it would take away the "community feel". Stickies should be informative enough to give the noobs a quick lesson about their car - enough for them to search with the appropriate text for the data they're looking for. Why make it easy on them? If they come online without following the rules, then they should be shot down for not following the correct procedure in the first place. On another note - I just noticed (I don't check TOCAU every day) on the Forums that Corolla is now split into Corolla/Corolla Sportivo. Why is this necessary? It's also appeared for the Aurion Sportivo but where is the Camry Sportivo? If there are going to be different specs of Corolla's listed on the forum, why not include the Ascents, Conquests, ZR, SX etc??? I think it's just a waste of space. Surely if you drive a Corolla Sportivo, you know that it is a Corolla still, right??!!! Why the delineation??!! Well, that is just my 2c.
  5. Very clean indeed. I like the rims too. You don't see too many subtle-looking AE92/3s these days.
  6. And the Ascent Sport is the Conquest with a spoiler... Didn't the later model Conquests come with all 4 electric windows? My 02 model only has front which suits me fine!
  7. Don't know if this is helpful but try this - http://www.carsales.com.au/car-research/compare-details.aspx I only put in 2004 vs 2007 because there are no options to include the 2005-2006 Corollas.
  8. Spotted - White? Conquest with black rims last night at Stanwell Park car park last night around 1am :) I think the plates were something like FRM51V??? Too dark and too late to remember.
  9. Is that one huge chunk of ice to the left of the bin??? That is just massif! We felt the grunt of the hail storm as well... Our pergola is shattered and a few roof tiles need replacing. Don't even ask about my partner's car :(
  10. Who owns the red Corolla sedan with the plates TRD 004??? Keep spotting him at Westmead Hospital - saw him again this morning at 8am driving out of the car park.
  11. Do you mean Clifton Gardens?? My mum ate the fish that I caught there years ago and got food poisoning. She was partially paralysed and vomitting for a few hours :o

    My Aurion

Nice car mate. I have a very big soft spot for these cars... so tough yet sophisticated and seksy. Was thinking of getting the TRD Aurion myself, but I think I'll have to wait till I finish my degree and start earning some real money :(
  13. Hey I thought it was going to be **** there until my friend reeled up a decent sized bream. My friend catches yellow tail there all the time (not that they are difficult to catch but makes for cheap and easy eating).
  14. Port Kembla break wall before they sealed off that hole in the fence. Snapper Point at Budgewoi near Fraser Beach. Palm Beach Wharf (decent Bream there I swear) before they banned fishing from the wharf.
  15. Spotted NAW77Y at Parramatta tonight around 6pm - just walking across the street and noticed your car :P
  16. ^^^ What he said is 100% true. Do you want to be remembered or forgotten on the road is what you need to ask yourself. I know my partner and I always ***** ourselves laughing whenever we see some dyslexic fool with an extremely homo-gheyness plate. If you end up choosing something a bit ostentatious, be prepared to keep your car garaged at night and off the streets.
  17. That is adorable. More pics!!! BTW, are you going to sell these pups?
  18. Each time I see this one on the hume highway I giggle.
  19. I saw the smashed stivo on the news last night and prayed it wasn't someone from here... :(
  20. If I were you I'd get the TVO-005. Unless you have a ferrari or something equivalent, most people will not "envy" a road car they see all the time. Besides, you might want different plates for your next car...
  21. Imho, use the $400 to remove the neons. Then save the leftover money. Winner.
  22. Agreed. Personalised plates are just that - personalised. Get something that means something to you, or that is applicable to your car. Personally, I love Dennis's "ZZE-122" - lucky ***** for thinking of that! :) It just completes the car imho. Homosexuality = ONE2NV, Q2CDIS, URMYQT, LMN88R etc... I just don't understand why people want to look retarded and dyslexic. And why/how would having your name on your plates look cheap? You should get what you can afford.
  23. Try http://www.ozeparts.com.au/ for non-genuine fog lights made by ESUSE. You'd be looking around $295 for a set which comes with all the wiring and switches but no instructions. You won't have to cut into the bumper as Ben/Rolla Boy mentioned. I've been assured they should fit in just fine. I don't know why Toyota quoted you that much. When I enquired, they told me they were around $300 each, but I guess they might have taken into account labour costs as well. Still, that is ridiculous. Shame on you Toyota! Not cool.
