  1. thtupid. I have had a look at my “coin holder” lid and I have 2 questions. Can you see the coin? Is the coin "stuck" behind the lid? (Eg towards the back of the car) or under the front of the lid towards the 12v socket? Colin.
  2. Will have a look at my cover and get back to you. Colin.
  3. Took delivery of our new Atara SL this week. The car people helped out with the “fixed headrests and fitting child seats challenge”. Our child seat had a “V” type belt connection to the car anchor point and that fitted OK. See photos. The other is a child’s booster seat. It has a “single” strap to the car anchor point and it has to go over the top of the headrest. I was a bit concerned about the “stability” of the setup but it seems to be OK. If there is a “grove” in the top of the headrest in “10 years time” that will be a small price to pay for our grandchildren’s safety. Mind you "adjustable headrests" would have been much better.
  4. Thanks Albert. One childs seat and one booster seat. Should have it sorted next week and I will get some photos. Colin. PS Just picked up our Atara SL yesterday.
  5. Hi Nicholas. Nice looking car. I pick up our new Atara tomrow afternoon. All the best with you new pride and joy. Colin
  6. Thanks Rich for the photos. Will be a help. Colin.
  7. Good afternoon. I need to fit 2 child seats to a new Camry Atara with fixed backseat headrests. Has anyone had any experience with same? Eg: Does the top strap go around or over the headrests? Thanks, Colin.
  8. Thanks for your reply Sebastian. Not "using any oil" No blue smoke. :-) I have been told by a friend, who is a mechanic as well as my regular mechanic, that once the engine gets some big Ks on it the “internal pressure” builds up and it is not uncommon to get oil leaks. I am starting to get parts leaking that were fixed about a year ago. The last was a engine oil seal and the timing belt was changed at the same time $700. My mechanic suggested a new car or a low mileage second-hand engine from Japan. $3,000. I also got a price for the engine to be rebuilt from a Sydney, $4,990. Looking to get a new Camry at this point. Colin.
  9. Thanks Sebastian for the welcome, The Avalon has served us well over a lot of years. A niumber of oil leaks that are a problem at the moment but with over 260,000k on the clock it is understandable. Thinking about getting a new Camry. Thanks again, Colin.
  10. I have a 2000 Avalon with lots of K’s on it but would drive it to Darwin tomorrow if I needed to. :-) Colin
