  1. 19 x 9.5 inches sounds good, please let us know what spec tyres you put on it and if it scrubs in the front when in full lock. Good luck
  2. I agree, anything over 20" you will start to look like a "fullysick" guy. My preference would be a 19" but everyone has differnt tastes.
  3. Good work Paul, Just a side comment. A friend installed a mobile phone kit a month ago. He had the console, clock with vents + the radio out in less than five minutes. I was impressed anyway. He mentioned that the wiring loom and Toyota havn't changed there colour coding in years. After that he mentioned thst the dimmer wire was not there (the hole next to the yellow wire). Now I'm not 100% sure whether he ment the radio panel dimmer of the plastic surrounding the radio. Maybe we could approch Toyota that this is a safety issue, Noel sounds like he has one ? I live in a new street Noel, and I think they skimp on 40 watt street lights so it's very dark too. Adrian
  4. Look on the bright side, maybe you will have more time to detail the car ?? Sorry, bad sence of humour. Maybe you could appeal if a doctor would to back you up. That may reduce your fine if anything. Back to the topic. Does this void the warranty ? Best of luck Adrian
  5. I too would be very interested when the supercharger would/when be avalible.
  6. Thanks for your reply's. As I mentioned the Speedo on the Aurion seems to read about 9% faster than the TomTom. I can Imagine that Toyota would set it to read faster for saftey and stop people getting booked. But it also gets the car in for a service at closer intervals. It's good to have an idea of your true speed. Thanks again Adrian
  7. No probs, but you may have a few "old farts" tagging along.
  8. Hi, I have noticed a difference in the speedometer reading when traveling on the freeway at 119km/hr (approx. on the speedo dial with cruse control on on a flat road), the TomTom says that I am traveling at less 110km/hr. How accurate whould you think the TomTom is when your speed is consistant ? Thanks in advance Adrian
  9. Yeah, Didn't really take too much notice till it drove away on the back of the truck. The rear plastic is different with square intergrated exhausts + the number plate.
  10. Hi, Just go back from the snow and I though I would mention that I saw a new black Aurion on the road, number plate "TRD-001" looked cool, think it had 19" mags when getting a close look the first time. Saw it twice:- First getting loaded onto an NRMA truck at "Adamimity" Ampol servo (not 100% sure on the spelling there) then 1/2 an hour later just east of the Mt Selwyn turn off. Just after seeing it the 2nd time there was a bunch of people on the side of the road with a big movie camera on a tripod and lighting etc while they were controlling traffic. My thought is they may have been making an add ? Most of them had a bit of a geek at my car as I was driving past, that's why I though they may have been filming the TRD Aurion. Would have been a good time to film, every thing was pure white as far as you could see, except for the road & the Aurion (TRD). Adrian
  11. Yeah, I had to stick mine in the 35 bracket !!! Even though I'm closer to the other.
  12. Same thing happened to me. I had the mobile phone headphone lead stuck behind the hing, but I'll get a bluetooth kit soon. Adrian
  13. Hi, The Aurion is smooth, reliable (so far), powerful, comfortable & value for money. But as you are aware it's not a status symbol car like a Lexus or a Beama. It's the best car I've owned in 20 yrs. In research, if your doing lots of "km's" and need support if you break down, there are lots more toyota service places than BMW Hope your desision is a good one Adrian
  14. OK, dumb question about to appear. WTF is HID & why is it better. Does an SX6 have the HID ? Thanks Adrian
  15. I was gunna go balck, but .......
  16. Why would it take on FPV/HSV when its a FWD V6 Don't remember saying that it was taking on the HSV ? They were aiming it more towards the Liberty GT (as someone else mentioned).
  17. 6.8L/100km, OMG, look out Hyundi Gets
  18. I remember reading somewhere that the TRD was meant to be a better/refined drive, not HSV V8 killer. eg. like a BMW's are to drive compared to a Commodore.
  19. Me too, Im interested. How does it sound ?? I don't usually like the sound of a six clynder. Thanks in advance Adrian
  20. Hi, I too agree that 18" would look better. But sory cant help. PS. Does any one know what other cars have the same stud config. eg Magna & ......... ? Good luck with the mags. Adrian
  21. Hi, Top of the black bar is 445mm from ground.
  22. Hi, I have just bought some throw overs instead and modified them. eg just cut them where they wrap around the door side of the car seat so they are just flapping around (re-stiched so they dont fray). Looks a little uglyer, but should be OK. Main aim is to pretect the cloth seat. PS. I bought polyester/nylon ones, looks good but VERY bad choice due to makes you hot & sweaty. Adrian
