  1. I got if for you my last new car "15 yrs ago" and it was a big waste of money, kids still wrecked the back seat and I still needed to polish & wax, a couple of times a year. Maybe technogy has changed ??
  2. Look futher up in this thread http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...st&p=172418 but thats the dealer fitted version. The "removable tongue" looks good, but as mentioned it may have to come out of the middle of the bumper on the sportivo.
  3. Did they change the colour range ? Never seen an Inferno before. Wasn't the red called Earth Red, now it's wildfire ??
  4. Hi guys, interseting thread. Just to expand on this. Different manufactors, differetnt tollerences etc. maybe if you went a 245's, get the fitter/dealer to give a money back deal that it won't scrub ? When I see an Aurion on the road, one of the first things that I notice is the pizza cutter tyres. The width, doesnt suit the body. Thanks
  5. Yep, you get use to it. But it'll still happen every now and again.
  6. Good to see another happy Aurion owner as well. "Is 19/35 keeping the right ratio? or does it need to be 19/45? I have done some online conversions and it appears the 17/55 standards is a strange size, can any help here please" From what I have read, 19/35 is the correct ratio. I think there is a general rule of thumb, "up an inch = down 10 in profile" it's not exact but close. Good price as well, I bought one of the first off the line, so paid a bit extra.
  7. My towbar, as you can see form the pic above. would be a bit tricky to take off, but would be possible with ring spaners. I did see a 3rd party tow bar on an Aurion the other day and it was one of those slip in types. It did look better.
  8. I put E10 in the Aurion mostly, and get around 0.5L/100km better than 91RON. Caltex 97RON, usually gets 1L/100km better than 91RON.
  9. Mine was dealer fitted and a lot less than that. If your buying it with a new car, don't settle for the list price option. Unless you get an unreal trade'in.
  10. Sorry, have you a make and model of the unit. Is it the same as the ones in the Camry & Aurion ?
  11. Low preassure <35psi affects braking as well as cornering. If you have done any driving courses they will demonstrate that its not an even skid mark left on the road ( due to low tyre pressures) because the tyre is more prone to deforming under these braking pressures placed on the tyres. I do 40psi all seems fine.
  12. I got platinum from Repco for my old 94 camry. I think it was under $10 a plug. Buy a long plug spanner (not a cheapy, $20 ) and you OK to go.
  13. I think it's the empty pin (or one of). Try comecting a 12volt light with 2 wires coming out of it, one end to 12v and the other to the empty pin, if it mutes, your in luck.
  14. This does not clarify the point 100% but helps understand Coles Express operates most of Shell's retail service station network in Australia. (But don't think that it owns Shell) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shell_Australia Coles Express: re branded Shell service stations offering convenience stores and fuel products. Before Coles Myer Ltd took over Shell service stations, Coles Express was the name used for smaller, inner-urban Coles supermarkets which are now known as Coles Central. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coles_Group
  15. yes, degree of added load would depend on the type of driving that you were doing. A lot of stop/starts there would be a noticable diff.
  16. rS%!T thats a lot cheaper than the Fatory tint (added options). But I would have not got off my **** to get it done otherwise.
  17. Sounds like it depends where you go. Our Toyota service dude's use Shell (Helix, I think) in the Aurion.
  18. Really guys, Chicks dont really think manuals are cool. They would rather you use that hand playing with them, rather than your gear stick. (Untill you get married). I too use to think that manuals were the way to go untill I got a car with some gutts ........... Have fun.
  19. Fun police...... Back to the subject. Personally I dont like the "Presara" grill, too much silver. But the Sx6 has a big ugly silver thing in the middle to. Wonder if it's worth painting black ? I would go for something more plain.
  20. I don't think that the PS3 upscales to 1080P natively. But I thnk the XBOX360 does. You may need to confirm.
  21. Sorry, not you. just a general question. Thanks Beaves
  22. Sorry to hear about the bad luck dude. Hope Aurion'ing gets better. I think "officially" the inspection, not service is before 3k (could be 5, I forget). Yes Gear changes in my Aurion are still funny between 3 & 4th on take off. But be persistant when you take it back for service. I was not with my Mazda 323 gear change issues, and am now paying for it out of my pocket.
  23. It may be driver related. But Aurion beats a "VW GTi" easy. Even in auto mode.
