  1. Yeah when i get one i am considering a better mount for it other than on windscreen
  2. of course toyota couldn't make it easy .... still anyone installed speakers in rear parcel shelf of a 2003 + sedan ?
  3. Has anyone put rear speakers in the parcel shelf of the corolla sedan 03+ zze122 6x9 or 6inch and disconected the speakers in the rear doors and are the rear door speakers 6" ? thanks chris
  4. A higher excess reduces your per year fee .... .. corolla is high insurance because of how many are on the road It is generally cheaper to insure a Porsche than a standard car because of claims Insurance goes on Age ... Sex ..... Location .. then car and then amount of cars they have insured and how many claims are made on that car in that area that you live Just Car (AAMI).. will insure anyone but excess is crazy Even rating One lifetime on a standard corolla ascent is around $900 upwards for full insurance cover in most area's of melbourne So shop around ... check interstate companys like Suncorp which is in queensland i think AAMI is about the best .. If you live at home insure in your parents name .. because insurance doesn't care who owns the car
  5. I know its an old thread but i searched with no answer .... has anyone installed remote start on the corolla and bypassed key in ignition ? car is auto so it can't be driven without the key in anyway cause trans is locked in park PM me if you are worried about details of install ... or have you paid someone to do it... i just don't like the idea of paying $1000 for a new alarm/remote start when i have a brand new PRESTIGE remote start alarm in the box already
  6. Commodore V6 has alot of torque ... and i bet thats the auto figure .. VS sportivo manual .... plus commodore heavier ??
  7. Damn sad ... 1 year ago Peter Brock .. now .. Rally car legend
  8. Yeah tom tom seems to be the most popular i just hate getting the melways out of the boot all the damn time
  9. that box looks good but i would be worried about roadworthy those clamps on the top breaking
  10. the dimensions of the acutal unit for fitting should be the standard fit ... problem you have is the front face is bigger than standard by the looks of it ... i think to top is a nit higher it will proberly have to be insatlled in the bottom hole so the toyota surround can fit back in over it ... and then a pocket can be installed above it shouldn't be too hard or install above ash tray and leave factory headunit in the normal spot but not working ... see pic of my first temp install install to the reverse of how i had mine
  11. Poor finish for ralf again ... well webber in top ten .. thats great Damn channel 10 putting this on at 4am .... :(
  12. Yes location on selling items...(MELB) or (SYD) etc ...
  13. I am looking to buy a GPS for car ... anyone suggest one .. features ... Faults ... thanks chris
  14. save your time ... use normal rolla battery for starting and install a optima in the boot a dual battery setup.. and run the amps off that battery and starting of factory battery ... or the battery tray / clamps has to be modified under engine bay to fit it in
  15. i had 225/45/17 on the back of my rolla .. lowered with king lows with a good offset no rubbing even fully loaded i reckon 235 might of pushed it
  16. just i had to get hub rings and they were 54.1mm to 76mm to fit my rims ... thats how i mesured it , 55mm hub rings were too loose thats all
  17. has entire car been resprayed .. custom paint looks good but it looks same as factory toyota dark red magenta i got on my car.. maybe photos don't do paint justice ? what colour was it before ? How did you fit 20inch under there aswell ? did you modify suspension already ? all that sweet body work and no side skirts ?
  18. C/bore is 54.1mm then you can get the Hub rings to fix problem
  19. here is a pic of my 2 x 10inch alpine subs ... in this pic i am trimming the boot to cover wires and the optima battery i have installed in the boot of my 91 commodore/lexen
  20. If the box is sealed it should face backwards ... not into cabin .. then if it faces the boot it uses all that space ... turn it around and you will notice a difference... commodore/lexen have the worst acoustics in the boot ... More power needed to go to the AMP from the battery ... bigger battery The amp would be cutting out because of lack of 12volts or temp ... mostly lack of voltage Also install a really good ground wire for the Amp aswell ... Cheap subs will pump they will just not last as long as more expensive If the Box is ported you can try porting it towards cabin .. 1 decent 12inch will give you good bass .... Get a 12inch Boston acoustics sub ... about $800 then you will feel sick because of the BASS sooo loud
  21. Glenroy exhaust ( in cambelfeild) best i checked for quality and price most places were going to charge me $200-300 for fitting a muffler they would put a muffler on and customise the sound for $140 -200 that place in malvern is good too ... you don't want real cheap just good price good qaulity
  22. you gunna go 2.5 on a ZZ122 ? or sportivo ?
  23. so sportivo and ascent same fuel filter ? sweet write up ...thanks Damn toyota parts ... wiper blades costing $65.00 :(
