  1. Once the car is at full operating temperature it should be roughly 8200 rpm fuel cut. Pre face life clusters were slightly off at times making it look like the fuel cut was at 8500 rpm roughly. RPM limit can vary on a variety of factors though.
  2. To be honest, that's what they're really worth. Around 2 years ago when I was buying my first car, they were going for $10k+ for a good condition with average kms.
  3. Nice, trust me the crossover is mental. One of the loudest intakes you can get. Don't forgot to do an ECU reset as well.
  4. Been a while since my last update. Since then I haven't really done all too much. Still waiting to install the rear whiteline sway bar and few other little bits and pieces. Not long after my last update, I had purchased some Runx lights from a Sportivo owner in Melbourne. Had a mate make a custom harness for them to work on a 2005 model and all went well. 2005 stock vs Runx Runx lights installed After a wash In recent weeks I have changed the center console light colour. Purchase some "light condoms" from eBay and changed them at home. Simple, easy and was done in about 30 minutes. Everyone knows the standard green. Can definitely say red is 100 times better! Other then that, still have a lot of things I'd like to get done this year. Will be keeping this updated as more is done!
  5. Could be the shifter cables making the noise. But as you said, take off the center console and just listen out. Sometimes the dash makes a bit of noise too, especially above 4000 rpm.
  6. First thing I'd do is change the gearbox fluid and add Nulon G70 additive. That may stop it for a bit but generally the only real to stop it completely is get the box re-conditioned or buy a second gearbox.
  7. Nice purchase mate. Will get great use from car audio. Did you get a new head unit with it too? Just changed my cabin filter yesterday too.
  8. As long as it's short, you'll be fine. In my experience, I had to use a mushroom style pod, just be sure it would fit.
  9. Search for the Injen part number - RB2082. This is the two piece I used on my face lift. I had to get a smaller pod due to the Injen one been to big to fit. The RD2075 will fit a pre face lift a lot better.
  10. I paid roughly just over $300 for mine with a bad exchange rate. Seems to be the best option IMO. Intake came within a week too!
  11. Apparently people have said JDMYard in Sydney can. I just got it from eBay because even with the bad US dollar it was cheaper.
  12. Look at some of the ones off the shelf and adapt those designs as well.
  13. I agree with CHA54 on that. It'll look unique and will more then likely work out better then an off the shelf item.
  14. Sounds like a good price mate. I'd go for TRD, AEM, Injen or CES if you have the $$$. I hear Simota ones are bit laggy down low. My Injen feels almost identical to stock in the bottom end.
  15. Got it through eBay mate. Can more then likely get a custom made one for less too. All up to you and your budget!
  16. I've got an Injen on my 2005. Screams in top end, one of the loudest you can get. Haven't had any issues with it since I installed it. Did the ECU reset and she still runs like a dream.
  17. I prefer the top stage style as well, don't mind the c-one but personal preference.
  18. Yeah there's a lot you'll find about Sportivos mate. Most of the products are generally discontinued or extremely hard to find these days. C-One eye lids look more like this:
  19. Nice car mate! Those are actually the top stage eye lids, they are quite hard to find these days. I have c-one reps waiting to go on, they look a little less aggressive.
  20. Front strut bar, rear sway bar or torsion beam bar will make the handling a lot nicer. Ported headers can improve response and power a little. Look at the threads for more info on mods.
  21. Alrighty, since the last update, my car has changed in appearance just a little. Towards to end of 2015 and start of this year, I spoiled myself with finding a set of practically new BC BR Gold Coilovers, installed a new double din touch screen head unit with speakers all round (also used my amp and sub from my previous car). Towards the start of this month I was lucky enough to find brand new Whiteline rear sway bar and strut brace going for a great price. That same week I was also lucky to find a great set of Advan RG2's in a ghost chrome, 16x7 running RE002's 205/45s. Here's some of the latest photos. Also got a dash mat for Christmas which was put in just before the sound system. Old suspension New coilovers Coilovers in the front, stock in the rear. Massive difference in height The new look :D Current height... Corolla Society meet and cruise. Latest picture, as of yesterday before the rain rolled through. I also have some other little parts just waiting to be installed. Have given the car an oil change today with no dramas. Next up on the list is definitely the clutch. Stay tuned for more!
