  1. pumped petrol into the car just before hand it over to you? dont think too much about it, it wont help.. as in, even if the person who hand over the car to you DID something nasty, there is noway to prove~ but i pick the first choice..
  2. 1. key left near open window 2. car not parked at specific place 3. claim thru insurance = premium increase 4. under 25 5. excess close to repair cost.. 1 and 2 MIGHT give you some issue, but the insurer may be nice to you? u pretty much can guess what is your best choice..
  3. wat about rebound rate on the spring(pedders/king/watever) and shock combination? Spring is shorter/lower, shock is still at original setting.. It doesnt really work out well, does it?
  4. what is the purpose of releasing aurion is a new colour?? attract more buyer OR pulling customer from holden commo? If that's the reason, i think there are more ways to do so, like... offer more free service or free upgrade and stuff... New colour??? huh
  5. please seach and read more on these stuff, there r lots of website teaching which is invisible and which are not, and which are more accurate than others.. (even forum where people volunteer their detector to b tested by cop radar) valentine is detectable for sure.. And in Vic, if you are caught with ANY radar/laser detector, $1000+ fine shove into your ****~ NOT confirm on other states. i remember in perth, it is legal to use them..? or QLD? i was reading lots of info on detectors.. long ago when my friend was selling his bel xrc, the best recommended for hidden choice.. The prices are getting cheaper, so if you state law allows using these babies, get one.. but the issue that DJKOR said pointed, is true about the reflecting stuff...
  6. who has tyre with 35 profit but still quiet on the road, suggest please.. thanks
  7. i dont really suggest this.. unless u are GOOD at it.. If not, your paint will be worse than before and 'repairing' will be the same cost as re-paint the car..
  8. The paint protection isnt 'THAT POWERFUL' as you think.. they procedure is just like normal detailing, that's all.. It is like wax/polish, it will stay on the car for just a while, like max 3 months??(dealer said) and which i already think is impossible UNLESS u dont drive the car out.. yes, your dealer will say like if the 'protection' wear off, you go back to them, and they re-apply.. which i think it means, doing the detailing again.. and i think you still goin to pay for it~ BUT i dont trust dealer with detailing, last time they wash my car(free service), which i think works as waterless-car wash, and my car-black was full of swirl marks due to their "New Technology".. and nothing they can do about it.. and my friend's rav4 was scratched 4cm length and they didn't even bother apologizing.. p/s: if u hv the money, and if u think u gonna regret coz of us here suggested you against it in future, then do it.. No harm.. UNLESS they do "cut" do the car during detailing, then i definitely say no to that, as you said, it is still new, there is no need for that now.. believe it or not, as i have the spare money coz i got a bigg discount when purchasing, i only pay less than half their price for protection, BCOZ it is JUST DETAILING!!! Tinting also the same, give them the price u got from cheapest possible, they will match it!! These are what i did..
  9. thanks for being the first to try it out and truthfully reporting.. trial n error~ cheap way=no way
  10. also beware of loading, if not the tyre will go out of shape and u will hv to replace all 4 of them as it will cause all kinds of problem..
  11. no response from the person who receive this fine?... did u just paid for it while the guys are looking all these info? lolz...
  12. from experience of 18" rim on camry with Kings, and 20" rim on aurion with pedders.. as they are different size so it isnt that accurate to compare in this way.. but from wat i feel, they are very much the same or at least very similar. but on camry, it was low for front and super low for rear, it then looks more like same drop/height.. on the aurion, there isnt low or super low to choose from IMO, but the drop was not tat bad, as seen on the pic posted in aurion section. price? not much difference too(very little). I think tyres play a MAJOR part in comfy and ride too, this is wat i found when i was using a sh!t/out of shape tyre, then Nankang then "another brand" i forgot.. Dont just spend so wisely only on suspension and totally missed out the tyre part.. the tyre load(if u wan your tyre to wear 200% faster and goes out of shape), other stuff are important too..
  13. yup, from what i know. Call your lawyer if you really care about the demerit points, IF not, just pay it rather than wasting time on this small matter
  14. i am really interested to look at survey to compare between the history/chances of getting into an accident of young(<30) and old people(>60). not tat i dont agree with some old people's driving, but just curious. Today along a 3 lane road, usual speed limit is 80, and due to small road work, the limit was put at 60. The situation is where there is no one seems to be at work, and there is only 5 cars including me on the road. 2 cars in front of me, keep at speed of 70-80, the car behind me did the same. While the old man driving a 1999 mercedes driving on the 3rd lane, seeing the sign, brakes down straight to 60, and unluckily i was behind, with the truck behind me soooo close when i looked into my mirrow... Yes, no accident happen.. Yes, he is doing the right thing, but fuk, everyone is driving at 80, and he is at the outer lane!! Move your ****... By the way, for those in Vic, do you guys notice that truck drivers bcoming much more scary nowadays? They tailgate people, they horn... and Some are huge!! and the old man in front driving a small barina has no idea that he might be squash into smash potato sooner or later if he didnt give way.. I always make sure i m not in the way of trucks along monash fwy near toorak or st kilda exit or after kings, they are either late in schedule or they are just frustrated with getting up early and stuck in traffics... but, if u hv your license, u can drive, nothing we can do about it.. No one cares UNTIL something happens..
  15. the correct size for the nut is 1.5. Not 1.25. Info for people who might need it in future. Fuking pedders, picking up the car later, and there better be nothing bad happen on my car.. If it wasnt bcoz i m in a hurry to get the job done, and the other service centre is like 40 minutes away, i wont even bother go to tat place again.. <_<
  16. could u post some pickies up when you get it if u dont mind...keen to see wat it sits like :D if u wanna lower the car at totally the same height, get coilover, Ksport has it on Camry 07 which will fit, and price around $1.5k not fitted, google it and u will find dealer in perth and sydney. with springs you wont be able to get same height, unless like what i did, chop a little off, but then u will know wat BUMPY ride really IS. (illegal) tats why before, i went for king's low for front and super low for back(or the other way round, i forgot). Still there is height difference, but less.. i m trying to find who can get the job done at $650, coz needa save a little for guard rolling..
  17. u should learn from indian taxi driver, get a second license.. <_<
  18. can someone please send a copy of invoice for pedders?? coz i called pedders and they kept telling me i have to pay $720... a $70 may not be much, but enough for my guard rolling later ><" thanks in advance~
  19. IMO, stiffness should happen when the spring is shorter, therefore more bumpy? i m going for pedder on aurion tomorrow, coz i used king for camry and wanna try the red for once.. see wat happens then.. p/s: the install price on aurion has drop from 1.1k to 700 now..
  20. i took down a wheel nut from aurion, wondering which is the diameter to measure? the inner or outer? inner i feel like it is more like 1cm and outer is 1.5cm? which 1 should i buy??....
  21. if i were u, i drive slow, and make sure he cant go pass me ;) for just like 30 sec and quickly drive away.. actually i do tailgate ppl too when they drive slow and it works to 'make them move', if it doesnt work, next is horning.. mayb someone should teach them to keep left when driving and give way to us :)
  22. i thought police CANT take pic from in front of your car, ONLY FROM BEHIND? well, if this is your FIRST ticket, u should FIGHT for it, there is a lot of help from lawyer that focus on these issues. it doesnt really work if you receive more tickets... :(
  23. why buy from that arrogant person then? i remember when i walked into first dealer, the way i was treated was sh!t and looked as if i cant pay for it, so i just walked out straight away, and look for another dealer who can treat me well... you are paying for it rite? it's not like he is GIVING to u? but forget it~ u got wat u wan anyway~ and its an AURION!!! YEEA~~ for the second part, good luck with that at first, i thought i just gonna put my rim on, sound system, hid, air intake and STOP.. but i just made appointment for body kit next week :D
  24. if u google on hid info. actually any colour temperature above 6000k isnt providing u better vision in dark/night/dusk/??? condition. $600 is wayy too much to ask for. I think MOST people nowadays either get their hid from the eBay or some shops, but MOST are china/korea made and very similar.. (yes, in old times, GT HID might be "good" but cost much more than the normal hid that we can get like around $150, but GT hid is now made in china from what i saw). If you wanna buy a set, there is always a group buy in the buy/sell section. Regarding installation, just get 1 set first, dont worry about installing it, coz it's easy. And i remember there is a thread on installing hid on aurion too. If u dont dare to touch the car, just ask normal mechanic to install it, easy. My first hid was install my mech too, coz i didnt dare to do it myself, and cost like $70, which is very over-charge IMO, for less than 30 minutes job. LED that our great DJKOR is providing info on, is for cosmetic issue, exp:parker, led on the door.. but the led for reading may hv benefit? i hvnt change mine, so i m not sure.. others are for cosmetic, pretty sure~ If i were u, i may just change the lo to 6000k, and get a brighter(more W) fog light. I dont recon changing the Hi. If u are willing to spend $600, get a REAL hid projecting headlight.. There is a member in this forum who made one for his camry 05, and it cost a little more than that.. but GREAT result. (back from 2 months of intense exam period, Now back to playing with my car!!! HURRAYY )
