cool i always wondered what that meant.

can't remember what magazine it was (maybe wheels?). But they rated the dc2r up with supercars like mclarens and porsches as greatest all time cars.

I almost bought a dc2 type R before i bought the 'tivo. But honda wouldnt give me anywhere near as much for trade in on the MR2 as toyota would. 4 grand less in fact. but in the end i was getting rid of the MR2 for practicality reasons so the 'tivo was the better choice for me. Still dream of owning the Type R tho. it was immac condition, only 40 000 kays on the clock and stock as a rock. I'm also over paying huge premiums on insurance for being under 25.... sux

So... I'm driving east to Pakenham for a family function today. My mum's in the passenger seat. Not far out of Pakenham there is slow traffic up ahead so I get into the left lane and go to overtake. Just as I'm about to overtake this commodore he pulls out in front of me. I just thought he didn't see me so I tooted to make my presence known. After that he gets in the left lane and pulls along side of me and starts screaming and waving his fist out the window. Meanwhile my mum is petrified. He's saying "I had plenty of room ya little *****, i'll knock ya **** lights out". He wasn't a small guy either. He looked like a pit bull in attack mode. So I couldn't get rid of him I'd slow down and so would he. He then sped up and cut me off and hit his brakes. So i swerved around him and hit 2nd gear and tried to disappear but my mum told me to slow down. she was scared so i did. I told her "that's it! call the cops. this guy is a psycho". So she did. but she was so scared she could hardly get words out through her crying. We gave the cops the rego and everything. I just hope they did somethin about it. If anyone sees a white vx ss commodore reg: TCO641. Stay clear of it I say. Has anyone else had any similar incidents happen to them? I'd like to find this guy and put a brick through his window... and face. What ever happened to road manners?

I work for Riteway Express. We are owned by TNT so our prices are similar but our service is way better. I hear it first hand from customers all the time. they will leave riteway to go to someone cheaper to cut costs only to come back with their tail between their legs because their customers aren't getting their freight on time or intact, etc. The most complaints I get are usually about Star Track or Toll. but u are sending a bumper so tpt companies love that kinda freight cos its big and its light.

I work in transport and have a fair bit of experience in the industry. personally, I wouldn't use pack & send... they have no idea about transport. Toll are good if you're after a good price but don't expect a good service. If service is what you're after go for a carrier like TNT or medium sized companies that have been in the game for a long time and will do anything for you. i'd also recommend a company that uses track and trace in case something goes wrong. get a few quotes!!!

no rattles in my yet. but i did get the rear passenger window seals replaced under warranty. so much quieter now... aaah

i was gonna say you should probably get shocks as well. cos those stiffer springs will be real unmatched but if your gettin coil overs don't worry about it just get em!

are you gettin new shocks as well? where are you gettin the springs from?

i know the mr-s had a rattle fix that the dealer could do for ya. wonder if the 'rolla has one?

what happened with the guy in the 4wd. what was his story?

don't let him discuss wth his panel beater. it has nothing to do with him how the car is repaired. leave it all up to your insurance and get your own quotes. those quotes are for you not him. he doesn't need to know anything. remember its his fault you have to go through all this crap so why should you cut him even a little bit of a break. Also make sure you get all new parts. don't let them just repair or plastiweld the bumper and stuff. some repairers will help you out on this. like bull**** to the insurance company for ya and stuff. my repairer helps me out on stuff like that. he's freakin awesome at colour matching too. last time I was in an accident was in my mr2. I was on the way to work and this guy in a datsun 120y smashed into the back of me at a roud about. ****** tried to tell me it was my fault cos my brakes are too good. he didnt hav insurance either. my insurance were brilliant. i think they're takin him to court cos he wont pay the 3grand.

nah the cats were gutted. it just started dramatically burning oil. and i forgot to check the oil for a week and it ran dry and blew. toyota said it was the ecu doing strange things. i'll never trust a 1zz again.

Melton, Vic. But I traded it in for a rolla. I had too many bad memories with the spyder. I was rear ended twice in it. A guy pulled out in front of me when i was doin about 70 and almost wrote it off. Then engine went in it and then a gearbox bearing destroyed the gearbox. it spent more time off the road then on it. it was a real chick magnet though. i'm gonna miss that part. rolla wont draw too much attention from chicks but at least i can fit my mtn bike in it. and the 2zz is fun. i always dreamed of putting one in the mr2. if you see or hear of anyone buying a spyder with reg xxxmr2 talk em out of it or feel sorry for them!
