  1. After reading this thread I tried "slipping" the clutch and I managed to do it too (lift from 1st to 2nd)...although it doesn't sound/feel like its any good for the car. Still its cool having your tyres chirp on gear change, I use to be able to do it sometimes in my old Paseo was joy So yes 1st to 2nd lift FTW Play with it a bit more, you dont need to chirp it to hit lift between gears. Just get a bit smoother.
  2. Saw that on the news too, my girlfriend got worried and called to make sure it wasn't me. RIP to whover it was.
  3. Well one photo and the phone went dead so DIY is out. But its so easy to install its just not funny. Anyway Cuscos Zero 2's are in and I am a very very very happy man Now the Cuscos came preset with even ride heights so i left it as it was. Its just under a coke can on the side skirt and about a finger gap in the guards, so I didn't want to go any lower. There is no scrubbing what so ever on the guards (even at the hardest of cornering and I have 18's) and i can still easily go up driveways w/o scrapping. I am amazed at the ride comfort. At the lowest setting (1) it rides close to stock with 18's on it, I actually bumped my dampening levels up to 2 but to make it stiffer (there are 5 levels). I can go over train tracks at decent speeds and bumps in the road do not destabilize it at all. And wow I can go around corners so fast now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so so fast!!!!!!!and its so comfortable There are no noises whatsover besides the shock compression which is normal. My rating 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are thinking about going coilover, do not even think about other brands, Cuscos are the way to go!!!!!!!!!! will put up photos soon!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I looked into this not long back. Problem is a pair of recaro or bride rail will set you back around 600bux shipped, plus the purchase price of the seats makes it very expensive. I looked into getting a pair of SAAS enforcer seats. From what I saw SAAS have very good quality stiching, ADR compliant (not sure what the diff is between that and approved) and come with rails (so it says in their catalaloge) for around 990bux per pair (even less if you bargain or know some1). I'm not sure what they will sit like in the Rolla, but only one way to find out.
  5. I'll be installling em tonight, so will do a step by step DIY for all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. They look absolutely beutiful, kinda like art & the build quality is absolutly A1. I kinda feel bad putting them in my car.

  8. I found something, its in their australian catalougue http://apps.bosch.com.au/products/saa/driving_lights.pdf its like of page 5
  9. i know as much as you do.. after a long talk to the supplier, he seems pretty honest.. THOU we CANNOT guarantee if you end up pealing the sticker n find out its some random brand.. im not saying it would be but again.. we dont know until we get it but from the pictures i saw they look genuine enough to me :) and @ 135 i dont see why i would complain IF worst case :P its a fake .. Since he is Melb and we are buying shipload, i will be happy to go take some photos and check if the buyer lives close.
  10. Just to let you guys know, you can hit lift between gear uphill just as easily.
  11. I'm in for H7, but only if its 'genuine' Bosch (both ballast and globes) and at the cheaper price.
  12. I don't know if 16's make a diff cuz i havee 18's with 225/35 tyres with 30mm lower susp atm (cusco will arrive next week) and stock engine and stock shifter hits lift no probs, no clutch slip or wheels spin required .
  13. You basically have to learn to drive it. I couldn't lift between 1st and second when i first got my sportivo. Now it is very rare for to me not to maintain lift during a 1 to 2 gear change. You don't CAI or a short shifter to do it. Just gotta be perfect on the clutch, accelerator and gear change. When you get it, you will get it.
  14. Cusco Zero 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you add those to your list!!!!!!!!!
  15. isn't there a diy in the in/out section for removing the bumper for the black headlight surround mod?
  16. Hmm, i'm also thinking that reversing the install and removing the blitz kit and reselling it as a package may be little but easier than a custom turbo kit (i.e. when selling the car). So it may be a better investment, but hey i don't 100% know since i've never done it!!!!!!!
  17. Blitz supercharger kit, will bring the family alot closer
  18. I duno what sort of skills you have under the bonnet but it took two of us 12hours to install it down at a mates workshop..its a fairly complex install when the instructions were in Japanese!! I think its time to learn japenese or if some1 can translate on these forums. 12 hours, and i'm captian slow so it will take me a one week in summer to install. As long as nothing needs modification and all the gear is supplied and no overly special tools are required, i'd be able to it. But will wait to see your video to confirm.
  19. It comes with a control box, sort of like a piggyback computer..what it does is tap into the TPS and detects when to activate the blower, ie. 40% throttle the blower starts boosting. You have to modify the fuel pump to. The standard ECU detects more air volume and corrects the mixture automatically..more air, more fuel, hense the fuel pump mod. No tuning involved at all :) No tuning, Oh my ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I can do it all myself then, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Does it come with a pre programmed aftermarket computer or does it require a programmable ECU (i.e. power FC). If so what did tuning cost you?
