No idea man, they came with the car my brother bougth, says so on stickers and every wheel has Japan stamped on it. atleast they have Rays Volk on em, i have seen knock offs with Ravs Vork on em, lol.

Just put a standard locking pocket in. Simple, clean and neat. Nothing worse than a w*a*n*k*y dash, my 2c.

Yep an adjustable coilover is generally the way to go, especially if you want a nice low rear. Just make sure you get a coilover, with lower bracket height adjustments not just coil on both the front and back, it stops the problem of reducing your shock travel height, as the seat is actually lower than standard (i.e. lasts longer). I went Cusco Zero 2's, have never looked back:)

If you want em kwik u'll need to spend about mid 2k, if you cant wait a few months just under 2K, if u want it a few week to a month low 2K.

True in many cases. I have seen some butchered attempts at making a 5 stud style wheel which is clearly a five stud wheel fit a 4 stud and it doesn't look any good. HP Racing had one and the bolt holes looked like an afterthought. I think the 4 stud Lenso Muse was an example of a wheel which still looks decent in a 4 stud - but they seem to be discontinued........ Any suggestions? If you reckon I am making a poor decision let me know........ You can get them, but i believe they don't make them in a 4 stud any more, well at least in 18'w. May need to ring around, but it is an old wheel so may be out of luck. Plus buying discontunied wheels, is a bad idea, just incase you bend 1 and it can't be repaired.

One think I hate about 4 stud wheels these days is that they are generally multistud, which i think ruins the appearance of the wheel.

Most likely your synchros need replacing, plus i'd say it would be worth alot less with the gearbox issue.

I think you would be much better off getting the blitz kit that is made for the rolla. With all the fn around, may actually end up cheaper.

2 inch up is ok so get 18's. Just get an 18x7 wheel, they are rare but you can get em, usually made designed for mini cooper so check Uk sites. 225/35 is fine for rolling diameter, but a 225 is usually too wide (as recommeded by the tyre manafacturer) to be fitted to a 7 inch wheel. I personally don't think a 35 profile is enough rubber (pot hole damage, comfort), so I reccomend a 40 profile. You will find with 205/40/18 the load rating is usually too low (i.e 84, 86). While 215/40/18 usually have a higher load rating (i.e. 89) so all good since it is higher than 87.

You're missing the whole point of VVTLi and VTEC... The idea is to have a normal well-behaved engine below 6000RPM and then a suprising slap in the face of torque and power after 6000RPM. There is a normal/economy camshaft that makes your engine behave like a normal Corolla until around 5200RPM, then oil pressure builds and the engine engages the performance camshaft which is much more agressive and opens the valves wider and for longer periods of time. Hitting the high-cam is not ripping the guts out of it, it's designed to do that, and you aren't making excessive noise or pollution because the car has passed all ADR's so you are not a hoon either. If you want a lump of torque under 5000RPM like a V8, then buy a V8. If you want instant usable power between 2000 and 6000RPM then buy a turbo car. But if you want a car with 2 engines in 1, great fuel economy and a bit of fun whenever you want it, then stick with the VVTLi and don't whinge! instant usable power... turbo... should they be in the same sentence? maybe you should have said supercharged... its great and all to have lift and that extra kick.. but I don't see the point of having it kick in at 6000rpm... who revs the guts out of their stivos in every day driving? i know some people are lead foots and like to guzzle the fuel but in my sc rolla now and then i'll redline which is all good, i just think 6k is too high IMO Well it gets to 6k pretty quick, plus fuel consumption between thrashing it and driving the stivo normally isn't all that different, still generally get alteast 600km out of the tank.

Hmm, my experiance with LS1's is that they get ahead of me low down, then when i'm in lift they cant pull away any further, or when i'm in lift they can't pull past me.

Question, why would you buy a sportivo if you don't rev it past 6 grand. Plus i don't know how many car you have owned, but each car I've owned feels a bit off every now and then. Its got a lot to do with temp, fuels, oils, etc but the main factor is the driver!!!!Some days you are just harder to impress. But i have got no idea how you have been driving a stivo under 6 grand, you might as well go buy an accent, it'll probably feel faster.

I agree, you can get them for falcons and territorys side and back, but i can't seem to find any for the corolla. I assume given the poularity of the corolla, atleast one country would manafacture it.

Hey I'm trying to find some fitted window shades for my two rear side and back window of my '05 corolla hatch. I want the shades to perfectly fit within the inside of window slots (i.e. nothing on the outside). I want something similar to this. Anyone seen these around?
