  1. Hi all. I have a new Conquest with full power windows. The rear controls on a factory fit look nothing like the pitcures here. They are mounted into the arm rests just below the handle. In the front they are mounted on the drivers door with the front controls. I'd post a pic but have no idea how. Sorry.
  2. I've scratched mine too. Have't replaced it yet. It will cost about $75 from toyota and just screws on with about 3 or 4 screws. Shouldn't be too hard.
  3. MUGEN are set to release a MUGEN spec Civic Type R in the states. It has a claimed 197kw . Not to be released in oz just yet.
  4. Mate, do as everyone has said, take it to WSID, flog your car as much as you want, get the time slip and post your times. The proof is in the pudding.
  5. I don't understand, redline in the new model is 6400 and you say your doing 6700 and not changing gears at redline. What revs are you doing in 1st before you change to 2nd. I know toyotas are very reliable but are you on a mission to trash your brand new car.
  6. Cat and muffler are combined just behind the motor. The coke bottle you are talking about is just a resontor. Good luck removing the muffler without upsetting your warranty. I haven't heard of a 2ZR reving to 6700 rpm yet, you must be really pushing its boundries or really ringing its neck.
  7. The new 07 2ZR Corolla is spec at 100kw, 136hp at 6000rpm with 175Nm of touque at 4400rpm.
  8. Sorry my bad, was lookin at Japanese specs. Still don't think 7.5 is acheiveable.
  9. I own the new corolla. I don't know about the 7.5 sec mark. The new car is heavier than the old with slightly more power, which would proberly put them on par. The electronic throtle wouldn't help either.
  10. Street Machine Mag did an article on this topic of people movers a few years ago. It proved the tarago can pull between 14.5 and 15.0 sec quater mile times constantly. There were also several other vans in this test as well. It showed and proved that people movers are one of the quickest passenger vehicles produced. Moral of this story is not to call up a ****** off mum at the lights with a van full of 10year old soccer brats cause you may get a surprise
  11. Hey enjoy your new corolla. I have the Conquest model and have done around 4500. Opened it up around the back roads the other day 160kmh at 4400 revs. Very stable and smooth.
  12. The new corolla has the 2ZR engine. It produces 100kw at around 6000rpm (136hp). I have the Conquest model and it costs me around $460 annually (with 60% no claim bonus and over 25) with Elders Insurance. Hope this helps in your quest. :D
  13. Subaru World Rally Team launch their new STI Rally car a last month in Japan and it's a hatch. Looks fatter than the WRX.
