    how do you take out the cover, not just the light?

    you can minimise wheel spin by riding your clutch, so you can get a better launch. though it's argued that a little spin is actually good. it give a few practice runs, dropping the clutch @ 5 and riding the clutch @ 5. you'll notice the difference and play around with it. just beware that you're giving your standard soft clutch a hard time so don't do it every second.

    as micky was saying, you need good clutch control. some people dump the clutch while others ride it. match the way you work the clutch with the rpms.

    checked the oil levels after a drive and warm down for 20minutes. level is spot on and clean as vegitable oil

    i've done a few full car systems on my past cars, but never tried anything on the standard HU. i've got bits and pieces to make up 3/4 of a decent system so i'll give that a go. all i need is a sub and i'm set..

    thanks for the reply. last and first service was done 2,000 odd kms ago. i haven't noticed any oil leaks, don't check under the car anymore because it's "new", i'll check the oil level in the morning. would toyota fix this "problem" under warranty? or are tappets considered a deteriorating item? i know there isn't much harm in noisy tappets, but it's annoying as it's a new car..

    hey guys, anyone with the new corolla have noisy tappets? my car has only done 12,000kms and the tappets are pretty loud for a new car.. <_< does anyone know why noisy tappets can occur with so little kms?

    i needed to take my rims to spray them and i guessed while i'm at it i'd do the calipers. didn't want to rock around with 15" and 16" rims mixed around so i hung tough and finished them.. i miss my old garage.. all i have now is an uneven car porch.. the rain didn't stop me from putting in my drift filter today! rain, 1 : me, 1

    i was in the middle of painting my calipers when it started raining.. <_< it took me 7hrs to stop, start and finish because the bloody rain was coming and going and by the looks of it i'm gonna have to strip the paint and redo it because of the water.. anyone else had their diy interrupted?
