My friend and I (both have black 05 sportivo's) had the plastic hindge part melt off on the same day due to the hot weather i think in March this year!. Got quoted $400 Castle Hill Toyota as they too said that the whole console with the climate control needs to be replaced.... i tried small magnet (lift was too powereful lol and it still kept coming off) velcro....kinda annoying....so i took the whole door off and left it empty... i reckon either close it permanently or remove the door. Steve.

hmm ok thanks... fm modulator is not an option at this stage, i rather have a cable in the glove box instead of a cradle hanging right near the shifter. Brad - what do you mean that late 06 and up models got six? the 05 corolla sportivo has the factory 6 disc mp3 changer in it. cheers

hi all, does anyone know if the factory 05 corolla sportivo has a aux input in the back of the head unit? im looking at adding an ipod connector from xcarlink and it says it has one for the 05 corolla shape. i just need to confirm this before i buy the adaptor. Any help is appreciated. thanks, steve

Guys, Before i get flamed, i did try the search button. 1. Can someone please confirm the head light bulb on the 05 corolla sportivo? 2. is the high and low beam one bulb? 3. what is the bulb for the spotties? 4. what socket to suit the parkers? thanks guys steve

Go 2ZZGE power...! ive got a stock sportivo and alot of boosted cars are surprised.. ive taken on wrx's..and ive left them behind...remember its not a sti..sti would be gone for sure... by the time the wrx was in third gear...i would be in second and climbing into lift..so yeh..go NA... mind you that ive owned 2 boosted cars previously... just my 2 cents worth....

Heys, Ok first things first.. Engine (Same) 03 2ZZGE (you may find some with the old ecu, and some with the new ecu after the recall) 05 2ZZGE (ecu already tuned) Body 03 more squarish head lights, front bar, flat (rectangle) spotties, square tail lights 05 eye drop looking head lights, front bar, round spotties, round tail lights (as mentioned before) Interior 03 has shiny console inserts, all (4x) power windows but only driver has AUTO up/down function, 6x stack CD player, noisy central locking, hard cover for the center console compartment (behing hand brake) and its only 1 compartment 05 has matt finish console inserts, all (4x) power windows has AUTO up/down function (you dont have to hold the button for the window to go up), 6x stack MP3 Player, quiet central locking, Smoother gearbox, soft leather cover for the center console compartment (behing hand brake) and its has 2 compartments Overall, they are both the same but the 05 has more refined and detailed features...dont get me wrong, the 03 model is smooth too but i find the 05 is just a smoother & refined package. I wouldnt worry about the low-mid range torque as that can be compensated with an exhaust and cai. Both 03 & 05 sportivos are the same stock...05 is just smoother.. Just my 2 cents.. GL Stephen..

hi guys, yes ive searched already and ive seen how it all looks but im still confused on the install thats why im posting if any1 knows a place or if any has done it before and would like to help me with it (obviously your time will be compensated for). Im just not confident enough to do it on my own just yet so any help would be great....even if you guys know of a workshop that does it....cheers

Hi Guys, Just got myself a TRD CAI and need a hand installing it...ive got an idea on how to do it but i would rather someone who has done it before, either do it for me/ or help me with it. Worst case, if anyone could provide me with a good place to install it for cheap. Cheers, Steve
